You know him. I know him. Great guy! We had peaks at Hermes past two times in story. This time we are gonna follow him coz he is doing something really unimaginable.
                                                                       

The only thing in my whole life that has always been my last resort and always should be , considering anyone discovers is Time travel -Hermes, God of speed

Today was the day Hermes decided to turn to his last resort. He wasn't sure why he felt the urge to do that but it just happens naturally. (I mean consider yourself with speed more than speed of freaking light and you can just hop to future to see what is gonna happen, wouldn't you wanna see it? )
Not even Gods can resist that temptation. That sweet pleasure of blasting through space and time. That feeling when the ground is no longer visible. Everything is just going blurry , unpredictable and you are dissected into different time at unimaginable speed. That feeling. That thril! It is not comparable to anything in whole life. And who knows it better than God of Speed himself. (Well maybe Nike!)

Hermes quickly felt the air and slided his feet back amd ran so fast that whole earth started to shook a bit like there was disruption in tetonic plates. He continued running after surface of earth was gone and was now creating a photon impulse as he ran in the space. It was good thing, no space guy was looking at him or he would have died seeing that godly power.

And just as Hermes reached million times the speed of light, he decided that it was enough fun now and ran through the portal opening in fabric of space time.

Hmm! Exact date when that guy Mussolini died. Well! He was not really that far sighted dictator. Was bound to happen.

But all of this thought were shook away from Hermes once he saw the sight of earth. He stopped in the air .( Yes! He could. The dude has winged sandals )

Blood dripping! Such a sight was before him that only one song was coming in the master of tales. Such a havoc! He had never even seen it when Typhoon the giant attacked gods.

Gods, Angels and mortals
Hear me
Whole earth is covered from head to toe
In blood that ever flowed in your veins
In parts that were ever your own
Look at the sky
Look at the sea
Nothing is same anymore
Everything is aligning with red
Screaming of widows fill my heart
Screaming as tendons break
As bones crush like nothing

See for yourself today

War and conquest
For what?
A taste of power
A taste of pride
I pick my sword and I am monster all the time
I love my realm but that ain't worth the life
For I wanna take all that there is

Everything! Every part of earth was covered with dead bodies. Some were still burning and that smoldering smell of skin was so repellent.

Hermes had checked the whole earth . He couldn't find anyone alive. He regretted coming to this future. He shouldn't have seen what he had. He would never be able to get it out of his mind now.

He decided to visit Olympus to see what was going on there though he was sensing a dread. Thrones were there intact but there was total silence.

"You shouldn't have come here." A familiar voice struck Hermes out.

"Athena! Wow! You look.." He trailed off seeing her.

"Tired! Messy! I know." She completed his sentence and sat on her throne sighing.

"What happened? And how did you know that I am from past and not present Hermes?" He asked puzzled sitting on his throne.

"Coz all of you are lying in pieces at different parts of Tartarus." Athena bluntly revealed at which he shuddered.

"Impossible! No one can ever catch me." Hermes scoffed.

"They didn't need to. Isis spread her magic puting all of us into sleep.  Daniel continued fighting but lost to her finally coz she is goddess of magic and then she took whom she could. I escaped with some other gods. There was a big war. Lucifer let us cut each other first and then when all started to get weak, he attacked with his horde of demons raining fire upon mortals. Everyone was either chained or sliced up. I am only one here now. Soon Lucifer will advance towards Norse realms beside these nine Realms." She exhaled.

"What about Romans?" Hermes asked shocked by all happenings.

"Well! They merged with us . Thought they would increase our powers. Actually did opposite. No one listened to each other and because of that internal fighting, we lost to other gods." She sighed.

"So is Minerva also there?" Hermes questioned looking at her.

"No! We are wise. We didn't merge. We also told others not to merge to." She said smiling at retaining her wisdom.

"Well!" Hermes was about to reply that a spear struck Athena in chest pulverizing her . Hermes saw with anger at Lucifer arriving towards Olympus from sky. He was about to run to him at his incredible speed but Athena stopped him.

"No! ...it is no use. Don't repair the future..it is always in change. Go back and change the present that belongs to you." She croaked as Hermes looked at her sadly.

"I will fix this. I promise. I won't let Olympus fall." He held her hand.

"I know you won't. Now..run. Run Mercury Run." She told him as he changed into his Roman form and ran faster than ever making Lucifer fall from his chariot into the very same hellfire he was proud of. His screams faded as Mercury ran through the portal and landed like a meteor in middle of Olympus.

"Don't tell me you did that again?" Athena glared standing up.

"Ok! I won't." He chuckled and sighed looking at her as she bit her lip.

"What happened?" Zeus asked.

"I went to future. 28 April to be exact in this year and I saw Olympus fall." He announced standing up as everyone took a heavy breath.
