After confronting Medea, Daniel realised that he needed to give her some alone time . He wasn't really sure what to do just sitting alone so he did what he could. He slept or should I say entered a different world.

Daniel opened his eyes to find himself in a darkness. Water was dripping every now and then like some faulty drain pipe was above.

But he knew this place. He knew it because he was here. With Asteria. He was standing somewhere in the Duat.

There was a boat there just like there should have been to ferry the dead. Except something was different. As he moved closer towards the boat , he saw that it was broken. In all of the years of Egyptians , never has been the case when ferry of dead was broken. Who could even do it?

There is a strong rattling of chains. Like someone is being pulled by it into this desolation. The rattling continues with occasional splashing of water.

He is no sure what to do. He takes a chance and starts following the noise. With each step , the sound becomes louder.

He turns to a fork which comes and see that there is a big beast chained. Two animal faces creatures are whispering in old language. Something which he can't understand.

He can't even see which gods are they . He just knows they are god and something big chained by them is dragged all the way down to Duat.

All of sudden , he sees another one coming with crown and face of animal who doesn't exist. There is only one god like that. Set. It must mean Set is king now. That was definitely not good.

"Shall we beign?" Set spoke normally.

"Yes!my lord." Both nodded their heads and started cutting the belly of beast . Daniel looked away disgusted. He wasn't very good with such brutality. He wasn't even sure what they were doing other than acting like butcher psychopaths.

"From the blood of first born being , we offer you our homage . Accept it and your name shall prosper till and beyond the end of time, Amut." Set prayed to his creator god as he poured the blood into water which disappeared indicating Amut accepted his offering.

"Good! Let's go . We are done here." Set told both of them and started to go away . All of sudden Set stopped and looked at where Daniel was standing as he shivered in fright.

"Is there some problem, my lord?" One asked. Set kept looking at his direction.

"No! Everything is fine. Even more than fine now Amut is with us." He chuckled and proceeded to go.

Daniel's dream ended and he woke up sweating and gasping.

"Hey! Are you ok?" Medea sounded worried.

"You are back." Daniel looked surprised.

"Well! Yeah! Do I look like someone leaving a rookie untrained?" She sassed.

"And in better mood too. Great." He grinned.

"What did you see?" She asked .

"Wait! Do we all magical people see too?" He asked her excited.

"Yeah! Although I won't tag us as magical people and some other beings have vision too just for your knowledge." She smirked.

"Ok!" He acknowledged and told her about what he had seen in Duat.

"It seems that Egyptians are wiser than I had imagined they could be." She sighed.

"What do you mean?" He asked puzzled.

"Amut is one of the neutral God. Like Chaos created him to be neutral but if he grants Set power , then he is not really breaking his oath since any god can accept offering and grant power ." She told him.

"Wait! Are you saying that I can just take some food, throw it in fire praising some god and if he or she accepts, I can ask for something?" Daniel beamed.

"That was the way it used to be but Gods soon figured out that it was too easy to do that and humans never end. They just want one thing after another so now only people who are not full mortal and if they are willing to sacrifice something great , can ask for it? There is a price to pay to be short. On the other hand , Egyptians never fulfilled mortals wishes so sometimes gods there pray to eldest gods for more power." She explained.

"Wow! That is quite good. So Set would be more powerful now?" Daniel questioned.

"Not only him but many of Egyptian gods. Amit incorporated all elements when he ruled and Set knows that when he grants power , he will give to all which means Egyptians are growing powerful." She sighed.

"Well! There is not much we can do about it now, can we? We are just supposed to have these visions and see the doom impending on us become reality ." Daniel groaned.

"We can. You can train. You can train in magic to become what you want to be." She looked at him.

"But you said 'we are all just pawn" " he began.

"I know what I said.." She interrupted and quickly apologized for cutting him off.

"I may have been a bit overwhelmed after visiting my past again. But Asteria brought you to me to train you and if it is gonna take me weeks or months, I don't care . I will train you ." She admitted.

"Aw! You are so mature." He chuckled.

"No! I am not." She countered.

"Well how about adorable." He grinned.

"Just a reminder that I have magic and you don't." She winked.

"Buzzkill." He groaned
