Egypt! Must have heard of it probably. Even if you haven't , Daniel and Asteria were there now. Before we continue the journey of Asteria and Chase , I have to tell you about chronological events in " Bloodline universe"

But in my bloodline universe, many gods never existed. So there will be no Hindu gods or Jewish gods frankly coz they so align with biblical one. Norse gods will be represented very few. Main focus will be on Greek, Roman , Egyptian, Biblical and maybe some other .

"So what is the plan now?" Daniel asked folding his hands.

"What do you mean by that ?" Asteria looked confused

"I mean I am fine with devil not chasing us but we are still stuck in a sandy desert and I don't see anything here to well relax or..." He gestured like it is obvious.

"Right! About that ." She suddenly started chanting in Latin.

"animam meam audiunt et proiice,
dat animam ponere vada
exaudi me Dominus ex mortuis ego enim venient in shelther"

Soon , out of sands a boat started to appear and Asteria beamed.

"You are smiling like that boat is any useful." Daniel looked at her annoyed.

"Of all things! You never complimented anything about my magic. You mortals just know how to criticize ugh! I can't believe Athena was right." She retorted.

"Umm.. sorry. I was impressed by your magic when you teleported us here but I thought that no one is bothered by it since you lived among gods so I just wanted to feel like I am also familiar with it even though I actually wasn't." He explained.

"You are so weird. But thanks." She smiled.

"Now hop on the boat coz today we are sailing sand in Egypt." She announced.

"That is not very cool line." He commented to which she glared. The boat started to sink in the sand and Daniel started to panic thinking he was gonna die and by drowning in sand . That is great.

"You are gonna be fine." Asteria assured him.

"Alright! If you say so. " He calmed down but was still very much doubtful. For whole 10 minutes , the boat was now sailing through water and there was darkness.

"What is this place?" He asked her.

"Duat. I guess he is apologizing a Millenia later." She blushed.

"Alright! Who is apologizing and for what ? And why are you blushing about it?" Daniel fired questions.

"You ask so many questions. He is Anubis. We kinda had moments a millenia ago when I visited this place because I wanted to visit Egyptian underworld. He didn't allow me coz Osiris prevented it and now Osiris is in deep slumber so he is lord of dead. Does that answer your questions." She asked looking at him.

"Yes! It must be quite a sight to see gods dating . I mean how do you guys..." He began.

"We didn't date." She quickly chimed.

"Yeah! Made love or ..." He said without care.

"Are you going for death wish. We just had moments." She fumed.

"Alright! No need to get red." He calmed her.

"Good. And there in no difference among feelings or date in any organism. It is same, idiot." She told him.

"Relax! I was just asking." He gritted his teeth.

"Okay! Do you have anything to eat?" She asked him .

"Where did that come from?" He asked puzzled.

"Just asking. I won't exactly die from hunger ." She stated.

"Oh! Thank you for that reminder. Yes! I do." He sassed.

"You should really stop with sass. You will like gods here. " She smiled at some thought.

"I like gods everywhere." He bluntly stated.

"Well! Good for you . You haven't met Ares yet. " She giggled.

"If we are gonna stay in Egypt hiding from Lucifer, I may never do." He whined.

"What do you want me to do? Face him." She turned away.

"Maybe. Aren't you more powerful than Olympian deities even?" He stared at her .

"Ever heard that "Out of practice makes powerless" ' She bit her lip.

"No!" He shrugged.

"Oh! I can swear ..." She began

"Because it is 'Practice makes a man perfect.' " He continued.

"Potato. Po-ta-to." She smirked.

"Are we just gonna talk all the way like this? It is so damn slow." He hit the sidebars.

"Hey! Don't touch them.' Asteria warned but he had already done.

"Why? What is gonna happen?" He asked taking his hands off it quickly.

"Well! Let's just say you are gonna die from a disease very quickly." She recalled .

"What?" He cried.

"Well! You see this ferry was built by corpses of all dead pharoahs. So they only allowed people of rich status to travel in it. And since you are a commoner, well there is a curse." She stated calmly.

"Why is it only on sidebars?" He asked with disbelief.

"Anubis made certain compromise for us travelers. But you screwed up. Looks like end of our journey." She sighed.

"How are you so calm?" He wailed.

"Well! I am just enjoying the satisfaction that how you believed my every word and almost got scared to death." She laughed.

"You ..." He fumed and then started laughing too.

"So gods know how to joke too." He chuckled.

"Everyone does. I am pretty sure " She grinned.

After a few minutes, they stopped at banks. There was a silver light coming out of throne. On two sides were jackals roaming around.

"Hi Asteria! Welcome back to Egypt." Anubis rose up smiling. Asteria smiled back looking at him.

"Umm.. guys you are really staring for quiet a time. " Daniel chimed "Immortal crush! Huh." He whispered to her and she bit her lip smiling.
