Into a Strange New World

Prologue

The light shown through the tree leaves as I awoke. I looked around taking in the realism of this video game world I had created. I could smell the waters of the brook as it babbled over the small rocks with in it. I felt the wind and heard the birds it carried up towards the Heavens. I was really here in the world I had created with love, blood, sweat, tears, and team work. I stood there taking it all in the beauty of the world and my new form.

It felt off at first as I started to walk around this new world I thought I was so familiar with. My form my in game avatar, it was what I used to promote the game to begin with. It felt weird truly being it, though I felt as though it would draw too much attention. Using an in game spell only the game makers, and a few chosen players could use, I transformed into my dragon-kin form. This form would be fine for now I thought. Though it meant learning the basics of moving again, now having large leathery wings on my back.

I took my time in practicing, flying with these wings was the hardest part to learn, all in all it took me a week or so. Knowing the time difference from this world to the real one brought me peace as every two months in here was a day out there. This gave me time to learn fully then it was time to leave. I pressed the button to return to the real world, and nothing happened.

Haruka: "Wait what happened? Why didn't the return device work?" I

looked the device over taking my time keeping as calm as possible. Then I saw why,

Haruka: "It's dead? But how I should have another month of charge left. ...Wait, that snake tricked me! He handed me a dead device! I'll get him back when I get out of here, that I promise!"

Chapter One: Updates And New Technology

Haruka: "In three months the servers for Atlantis: The New World will be shut down temporarily to make way for major updates."

That's how it started, I notified everyone at a press conference that my game's servers were shutting down for an undetermined amount of time for updates. What I didn't tell them is that it was to not only experiment on a new game, but on new gaming technology. I had been working on a way to literally step into the world of the game, and I was close to perfecting it. I wanted to test this new technology on a new game a prequel to Atlantis The New World. I was still working on a name for it but I was leaning toward Yggdrasil: Tree of Dreams. I had transferred my data into the new game, and was ready to test the portal platform with some non-human items. First with a cup, then an apple, some plants, and finally a mouse all tests were successful minus the cup that was sent over but exploded on arrival. After weeks of work I felt I was ready for the ultimate test, then backed out cause I needed to make a way to get back. I worked for months and figured out a way back, then I made the announcement that the game was temporarily shutting down. I needed the extra power from the servers to run my machine so I shut them down.

I had taken my time in setting up my final experiment, I had to make sure everything was correct to make the jump. After another few weeks of preparation I was ready. I called in who I thought I could trust most, my company president to help me with my work. I didn't know it at the time but this would be the greatest mistake I have ever made, I got the platform ready and he handed me the return device. I carefully stepped on and he hit the button. In a flash of light and energy I felt like I was ripped apart the pain was so intense I couldn't feel it properly and passed out.

I was gingerly woken by the sounds of the forest, bird calls, bugs chirping, and little critters rustling around in the leaves. As I opened my eyes I was greeted to a wondrous sight, a beautiful forest unlike any I had seen outside of my game worlds. I looked around in my special avatar at first but thinking I'd draw to much attention in town I changed into a vessel, and fell with the sudden change in character model. I took my time getting back up the size and shape of my vessel was difficult to get the hang of at first. The first thing I did was take myself over to the babbling brook, I was a bit surprised at the refection of my face but I wasn't shocked. I had seen this face before in VR but I had never felt it before as I explored it began to hit me, this wasn't a virtual world. I had done it, I had created a new world through technology, and had stepped into it, the feeling was euphoric as I felt and smelled the water, the dirt, and the mosses of the forest. In this world I was no longer Haruka, in this world I was Solaris The Creator God.

As I walked through this glorious wonderland of mine, I began to grow hungry. Usually a sign to log out and eat, now it was a sign to hunt and catch some food. I used the benefits of my dragonic form to hunt down a rabbit and cook it. Though I wasn't the best chef, it was the best thing I had eaten in a while. After I had washed down my meal with a bottle of juice I had in my inventory I decided to make camp. Setting up an old fashioned tent was a new experience, but after almost an hour of wrestling with it I won and was ready to sleep. I decided now was as good a time as any to try magic and used the repel magical beasts and bugs spell, to make sure I didn't get any surprises in the middle of the night. Another new experience was sleeping on hard ground with a thin sleeping bag, though it wasn't to bad with my dragonic scales I bet it would suck in my human form.

After a long night of sleeping on cold hard ground I was ready to start my exploration once more. Due to my high level and form most of the monsters in the area stood clear, though the odd few did attack at times. After what felt like hours of walking I came along a cliff side.

Haruka: "Now's as good a time as any to try gliding I suppose."

I made my way to the cliffs edge and peered down. Though it wasn't a high cliff it was perfect to practice my gliding, with a deep breath like one would do before jumping into a pool. I leaped off and opened my wings as wide as I could, I glided for around five seconds before falling the rest of the way down. Obviously I would have to learn how to better control my wings to glide farther or even fly but I felt up to the challenge. It took almost a month to get the grasp of gliding and semi flight but it was worth it to glide across the top of the forest. After a full month and a half I felt like I was flying like a bird, well a hatchling at least. I used my wings as much as possibly learning to use them without thinking but soon I felt it was time to move to harder flight training.

Chapter two: The Dragon Takes Flight

After nearly three months of flight training I felt like I was king of the sky I had even learned how to preform mid air combat thanks to some Wyverns. It was a hard fought battle the Wyverns better experience with flying, I was being easily out maneuvered. Though my elemental breath gave me a decisive combat advantage being able to attack at a distance. As I flew above the trees I wondered if the NPCs would be friendly towards me. I had set it up so they wouldn't be hostile but I had made sure they had a natural progress system in place so they could be racist toward non humans with out my realizing.

I decided going to a town may be a little to dangerous at the moment so I continued my training to get as used to my form as I could. After around another week or so I decided to try an experiment I cast invisibility magic and flew to the closest town. The town in question was a small village at the edge of the forest. I wanted to see for myself how humans interacted with the other races I had programmed into the games world. I was a bit shocked to see that a number of races were living together in such a small village though I do not see any dragon-kin. I thought to myself as I landed at my base camp that a dragonic form may have been a bad idea. Not knowing what else to do at the moment I decided to scroll though my preset vessels to see if another would fit better. While I looked though them I was alerted by a loud snap as someone entered my camp. Quickly turning to face the intruder I was surprised to see not an enemy but an NPC I had created to watch over my guild's dungeon.

With a gentle curtsy they bowed before readjusting their skirt back.

???:"I found you my lord tell me why are you all the way out here?"

This question threw me off a little bit, but I regained myself and answered quickly.

Haruka: "Ah Modna right Modna Tengi the younger of the dark elf twins yes? Why are you dressed as a girl are you not a boy?"

I remembered making the pair of twins myself but was confused as I didn't remember making them cross dressers. Blushing lightly almost wiggling on his feet he confirmed my thinking with his answer. I had forgotten to actually answer his question though seeing him in drag took me by small surprise, remembering to I answered him swiftly.

Haruka: "Oh right you were asking why I'm here. I was doing an experiment and thought this would be the best place for it. Though the village here doesn't seem to have dragon-kin so this vessel doesn't seem appropriate anymore."

Confused to my answer he explained himself a bit better.

Modna: "No Master I mean why have you not came to the Temple yet to see everyone? I'm sure you know where it is."

He said almost pouting his cheeks puffed up. I stood there thinking to myself, why haven't I been to my Temple. There was no reason not to If I was truly stuck in this world for the time being, would there not be the perfect place to train and practice undisturbed? Modna was left watching me as I thought it over for some time before picking him up in my arms.

Haruka: "You're right, I should have visited sooner well then. You ready for a small present Modna? I am personally going to fly you to the great temple myself as an apology for making you wait."

Shocked by my claim he tried to say he was unworthy I was again confused as I had not programmed anything other then loyalty. Had making this world into what boiled down to another reality created different personalities for my personal NPCs? This needed farther investigation so I held onto the young Dark Elf tightly. I flew off towards the Temple of The Golden Moon my temple as a creator god of the game as well as my guild's hall. Modna was scared at first but loved the ride by the end as I landed at the Temple. I put him down and walked over to the door which was locked by my secret code. Trying to open it with out the code took players to the church in the near by city but with the code... you walked into the main hall.

As I walked in I was completely shocked to find all of the custom NPCs I had created nearly 500 in total not counting the monsters that were in Dungeon areas. I didn't know what to think as the giant doors closed behind me cutting me off from the outside world. In the pocket dimension that was the inside of the temple I saw 500 NPCs bowing to me. Taking this chance to let loose not needing my Vessels at the moment I transformed into my God form as we called it. Power beyond imagine flowed through me it was intoxicating to say the least and I was left thinking what the hell is this? What insanity have I actually created here, was this really okay creating a world were people can become freaking gods? Then it hit me that was the purpose we created games and stories to begin with. To create our own escape from our powerlessness this is the purest form of gaming and it was a dream and a nightmare all in one.

Chapter Three: Investigating The NPCs And The World

I set up my Temple's NPCs through a tier system from weakest to strongest. The weakest NPCs were maids, chefs, butlers, and other servants like that. Above them were the foot soldiers and low level monsters, they made up the first line of defense for the Temple's Dungeon areas these have special respawn points in the Dungeon. Above them were the low level catacomb bosses that made up the second line, They respawn in specific points. The highest and most powerful NPCs were known as "The Great Guardians of The Golden Moon" I took extra care to make them. Though I couldn't tell you their stats and back stories by memory as I didn't memorize them past their names and ages. There were the twins dark elves Modna and his sister Cyan Tengi age 76 still children in terms of dark elf age but nearing teenage years they are more mature then most. Though they seem to be way more mature especially given their appearance, or maybe I have dark elf ages wrong. Sapphira Bloodshadow a true blue blooded vampire and day walker age 2000. A friend of mine who's motto was "needs more lolis" wanted to make a NPC for me and ended up making a vampire loli for me though I picked out the name. The succubus named Fuyuko age 2100 her personality change was the most jarring in my opinion. I made her myself loosely based on an old succubus picture I used to use to troll people online.

The rest for now can remain a mystery as for their personalities, the twins were cross dressers as I thought though it didn't bother me much that is unless Modna tripped as more often then not his skirt would end up being flipped up. I don't know if he is actually clumsy, or playing it off to be cute, I'll have to investigate that later. Sapphira became super clingy the only way to put it is like an anime sister with a major brother complex. Fuyuko became well an overly sexual newly wed bride, and I was the husband apparently. How did this turn into a harem anime with me as the Main Character, and why is there a gay love interest?! Not that I haven't thought of swinging the other way before but still.

I decided the first thing I needed to investigate was how different the personalities of the NPCs have gotten. Using my god tier spell perfect invisibility I took a walk watching them closely. I was intrigued by their changes though the monsters in the dungeon acted the same this included the Catacomb boss monsters. I was not shocked that they didn't change at this point but kept walking. I noticed Modna walking freely around and decided now was as good a time to see if he was clumsy or faking. ......He wasn't faking at one point he fell down a flight of stairs, another tripped and spilled a pot of water, and another point he sneezes and fell off a balcony. That one I stepped in and caught him so he wasn't to hurt, though I think he enjoyed being caught and held a little to much. I swear sometimes I can't help but think he's a girl, I hope that doesn't come back to bite me later when he's older. Though technically he's a fictional character in a video game, and over the legal age. I've spent to much time in Japan working on games I think.

After my walk I sit down and began to write down notes on the changes the NPCs have gone though. After taking the time to write out everything I had learned in great detail. I decided to use one of the unique items I have from the other game, a magic mirror called "The All Seeing God's Eye". I wanted to see what changes there were in this world I had created, to see the differences from the other world my friends and I created together. As I gazed over the world of Yggdrasil I saw many, many things, unlike the other game my friends and I spend year making down to the last lines of code. I wanted something more real I had spent the better part of two years creating a special program. I wanted the most realistic feeling in this game so I made a program to simulate evolution on a massive scale. It started with the big bang, and speed through to certain points, where I pushed things a bit to make sure the races evolved properly. I added the religions from the other game as well as my friends God Character data. Then I added special items like toilet paper, and soap, if you're stepping into another world you wanna have certain products right? After that I let their civilization evolve on it's own, I wanted to see how it would form, what would all the races do if left to their own devices. Though I never expected to see a booming slave trade, warring nations, warring races, religious factions, and wide spread poverty.

Haruka: "Heh. This world is way to real, I didn't expect a fantasy game to become its own little universe like this."

I said quietly to myself cupping my chin in my right hand. Even with magic, science, and knowledge, they seemed to be more medieval then I thought they would be. Ironic seeing as the other world was a melting pot of themes, much like the real world yet way different at the same time. As I stood their watching through the looking glass, I was shocked to heard a small voice from behind me. I turned to see Flewidia Flutterbee another NPC of mine whom was actually from a scrapped quest. I liked her design so I used it to make her one of my NPCs. My Flewidia is a fairy with tattered wings age 102 young for fairies but not a child. Her original design was created by my friend from japan, a loli fairy who had her wings were ripped off, and her quest had the player finding a way regrow to fix her wings. My friend had made her look younger to ensue a feeling of compassion from the player. Though she couldn't fly fully she could still hover and change her size. Oh right I guess I should teach you about Fairies. In this world Fairies are magical spirits of the forest, and they can change their size at will. Most fairies can change their size from as small as four inches tell to around two or rarely three feet tall, but their are some known as rare breeds that can grow as tall as four foot two inches in some cases. Flewidia is one of them though she can only reach around four foot even.

Flewidia: "My lord I came as you asked, if this is about a mission, I can't as I can no longer fly due to my wings being ripped."

Haruka: "This isn't about a mission, I called you in here to fix your wings"

The little fairy was taken aback at my statement and almost fell to the floor. She got back up and fluttered over to me landing on my desk. I made her take her max size of two foot, now before you ask at the moment her max size is two feet because of her wings. Rare breed fairies have colored wings if their wings are damaged they can no longer reach the full size of four feet tall till its healed. I pulled her close, and gave her a healers kiss, a spell used by level 50+ healers to regrow the limbs of their teammates. After the kiss her wings glowed green for a moment and healed completely allowing her to take her full size at long last. Over joyed she tackled me with a hug before flying around my study. After that I let her leave to enjoy herself and resumed my watching of the world.

Chapter Four: A Plan Of Sorts

I spent hours watching the countries of this world, my world and I didn't hate it. I saw slavery, hate, war, suffering, but more often then that I saw, love, understanding, compassion. In many ways it was better then the real world and in some it was the same but it was never worse. Though I knew I needed to get back to the real world but at least I knew I hadn't been gone long. It had been almost half a year since coming here I'll save you the math but that means I have been stuck in the game... a little over three days in the real world. Wow, I thought it would have been longer too. With that out of the way I set my mind to finding a way home, as the modernized cities of the other game have yet to be built, the result was I had no way to charge the return watch. I paced my study for hours not realizing how long had pasted till one of the maids came in with food and drink. I sit down allowing her to serve me, she of course also played the role of food taster though I didn't see the point as my God form was immune to poisons. After eating I relieved her for the time being and went back to thinking of away home. At this point, I started going by my Character's name as it was easier, and what all the NCPs called me. Hopefully I don't forget my real life name...

As Solaris paced intently in his study Sapphira and Fuyuko watched the door way in the hall leading to his private space.

Sapphira: "This is so annoying, Master finally comes to this world, and instead of doing it with me he's locked himself in his study."

Fuyuko: "Doing it with you? Don't make me laugh, obviously I will be the one to be masters wife and lover." Sapphira scoffed at Fuyuko puffing out her chest.

Sapphira: "Oh really? And you're telling me not to make you laugh?"

As the two argued in the hallway Modna was watching them and giggled slightly. Both of them looked up at him glaring daggers asking what was so funny.

Modna: "Nothing it's just a little silly to argue about. I mean why wouldn't master have a harem? Besides if you two are competing you're behind me cause I was carried in masters big strong arms."

He said blushing bright as he held his hands to his cheeks. The girls looked at Modna in slight rage and disbelief grumbling and growling lightly to themselves before regaining their composure.

Fuyuko: "Well I will agree that Master would most likely have a harem, BUT I REFUSE TO BELIEVE I AM BEHIND YOU IN THE FIGHT FOR HIS LOVE!"

Sapphira: "I agree with you there. Besides you're nothing more then a child and a boy to boot."

Modna: "True, and true, but us Dark Elves reach sexual maturity at 55 even if we don't reach adult hood until we're over 300. And who's to say Master wouldn't enjoy both genders."

Again Modna left the girls in shock before they both chased him down the hall angrily.

While the three would be "wives" had their game of cat and mouse another NPC know as The Frozen Shadow Umbraglacies aka Umbra. A four armed swordsmen who specializes in Ice and shadow magic came knocking on Solaris's door.

Solaris: "Enter and be heard."

As Umbra entered Solaris's study he gave a polite bow before standing at attention.

Umbra: "My lord I have come to ask you for a request."

Solaris: "Interesting, what is it Umbra?"

Umbra: "My request is that you spar with me later I wish to see the gauge in our power levels."

It was indeed an interesting request to which I agreed to with a smile he left to train as I resumed my work. I was watching some of the warring countries now and two things stuck out to me. One the technology of the larger country was much more advanced than most of the other countries I had seen and two they seem to have made more advancements to their technology rapidly through out this war's history. Lucky for me I could look back through their history thanks to my God's Eye mirror. A plan was beginning to take shape, if I couldn't find the technology to charge my return watch I will have someone make it for me. Although I had no idea how, even if I found someone to try, the level of technology in this world was to low. The only way would be to... right then and there a plan came to me it was stupid, crazy, and sounded fun. I'll conquer a country and use my knowledge to increase the worlds technology level. While I couldn't make anything more advanced then the level of technology if that level increased then I could create power sources to charge my watch.

As I looked over the countries I looked for the ones with the highest level of technology. In the end I decided I would go with the country of Litharda, the country of Dwarfs and Elves Capital city Kig Nyaver. Unfortunately I knew my god form would be next to useless as this worlds religion was not yet the one of Atlantis The New World. As such I would be labeled a false deity so I needed a plan. After days of thinking I decided it best to get out of the study to walk around the halls of my guild building to relax my mind. As soon as I stepped out into the hall I was near assaulted with tackle hugs by Fuyuko, Sapphira, Modna, Cyan, and Flewidia. Dodging the assault of "love" left them all in a big pile of squirming bodies.

Solaris: "And what pray tell was that about?"

After getting themselves untangled from one another they all stood there in embarrassed poses.

Solaris: "Standing there embarrassed doesn't explain anything. What was with those attack hugs?"

Finally after minutes of awkward silence Flewidia was the one to speak up.

Flewidia: "We were trying to see who could hug you first thing in the morning."

She said her head down.

Flewidia: "That and who could steal a kiss."

She continued quietly.

Solaris: " And why pray tell were you five trying to steal a kiss and hug?"

This time it was Cyan's turn to speak up.

Cyan: "Weeeell, Sapphira said the first one to steal a kiss and hug would be a step closer to..."

Before she could finish Sapphira quickly covered her mouth with her hand.

Solaris: "To what, Well Sapphira?"

Sapphira gave a few weak chuckles and lowered her head.

Sapphira: "beming yur bide."

She said mumbling heavily.

Solaris: "To... what?"

Solaris said in a slightly annoyed voiced glaring down at the short vampiress. Sapphira looked down more and with a slight yell said "To being your bride, okay?" Solaris rubbed his brow with a slight ugh.

Solaris: "And whom said I wanted one at this time? Ugh never mind."

With that Solaris walked off leaving the now five would-be "wives" standing in embarrassment. After Solaris left them alone the five of them rushed embarrassedly to one of the more less traveled break rooms. Once inside they collapsed in various positions on chairs, the couch, and the floor.

Fuyuko: "I have never been so embarrassed in my life. Sapphira this is your fault."

Sapphira: "How is this my fault, you guys didn't have to take the challenge. And why are you even trying to be his wife Modna? You're a boy!"

Modna puffed up half yelling back at Sapphira. Modna: "So I can be a wife if I want to."

Cyan: "Yea but it's still a bit weird bro."

At that Modna started lightly punching at his sister with the bottoms of his fists. Not doing any damage as his sister giggled teasingly. Flewidia just stayed laying on the couch sighing heavily her face red with humiliation and embarrassment. After dodging the brides to be Solaris went to the battle arena to practice combat. After grabbing a super great sword Solaris walked in to see Umbra already practicing. Solaris throwing the sword over his shoulder walked over to Umbra.

Solaris: "Well then, hard at work this early?"

Umbra: "My lord how are you? It's a rarity to see you outside your study these days."

Solaris: "True, but I thought why not practice my swordsmanship."

Umbra: "If that is true why don't we have that sparring session now?"

Solaris: "Well that sounds interesting."

Walking to the sparring arena in silence readying themselves for their match. Taking their stances Umbra was first to attack with all four swords at once. To Solaris it was as if the swords were in slow-motion making them easy to dodge before he gave a good swing. Umbra dodging the swing was thrown back to the edge of the arena. Stunned by the power in Solaris's half hearted swing he stretched his shoulders. In doing so His heavy weighted training armor came off with a loud deep thud. Readying himself again Umbra charged in full force and full speed. Solaris surprised by his massive increase of speed was actually excited to see what his favorite warrior could do. This time dodging Umbra's swords wasn't enough Solaris had to block as well his body moving almost on its own with the years of VR battle experience. Unknown to the two of them they kept rising their levels to the point the entire planet sized temple was shaking with each attack and subsequent block. Solaris was slowly getting more into the sparring match until every Guardian jumped the two to stop their match.

Solaris: "What is this? why did you stop our match?"

Fuyuko: "Are you trying to destroy the world below along with the temple?! Your little match was causing massive damage to the World below as well as shaking the temple to its core."

Cyan: "Yeah if we didn't stop you from going over .25% you could have destroyed the planet below and the temple. Next time you should really use a battle box."

Solaris stood up brushing himself off.

Solaris: "I see. I didn't think a small sparring match would be so dangerous for everyone below. How much damage did we do?"

Fuyuko: "Well lucky we stopped you in time and the damage wasn't to bad through a ring of uninhabited islands did end up sinking due to the temples position. You're lucky the temple is 500,000 miles from the world below or you would have destroyed it already."

After getting chewed out a bit he apologized and went back to his study.

Modna: "Jeez that was scary I thought we were going to die when the temple started shaking like that"

Cyan: "Yea I know and that wasn't even half a percent of masters power. Just think he had went all out."

Fuyuko: "With out a battle box? If he did the whole of creation would probably be destroyed though he could just bring it back like nothing happened I believe. I believe all of the gods are about that strong."

Modna: "T-that's insane. And there are others with that same strength?"

Sapphira: "Now imagine that power in bed."

Before anyone could think Fuyuko had punched Sapphira on top of her head causing a loud ow.

Umbra: "I apologize for the ruckus we caused I didn't think he was that powerful. I was nearing full strength when you interfered."

Fuyuko: "How much of your power were you using? As the master's head warrior you are the strongest in combat power."

Umbra: "Around 85% or so I'd say."

Shocked by his statement the others began to wonder the vast depths of Solaris's true power. As his NPCs pondered to themselves Solaris made his way down from his study to the world below with a plan. Inspecting the areas of the sunken islands Solaris noted it was rich with precious metals. Using a special spell only available to god level characters. Solaris used the destroyed islands as well as his mana to create a large semi circular island. He then created a large mountain like area where the precious metals could be mined. Using that as the main island he also created smaller islands around the main one. After that was completed he used a similar spell to create houses, shops, stables, roads, and so on, creating an island nation from the remnants of the destroyed islands.

In Litharda near the eastern boarder moments before Solaris and Umbra's sparring match. At a garrison a group of soldiers sit down for a meal. Among them are Sergeant Armiiss Athal a High Elf, and Corporal Tuph Ironrock a Dwarf. As Tuph sat to eat she was greeted by an annoyance in the form of Armiiss pulling his usual snobby attitude.

Armiiss: "Oh my, who let this child in the mess? And in a uniform no less."

Tuph slammed her silverware onto the table as she stood up.

Tuph: "Who are you calling a child? I am a soldier same as you long ears."

Armiiss: "That's adorable this child thinks she's a soldier."

Tuph: "Just cause we dwarven women look like kids our whole lives don't make us children you snooty high elf."

Armiiss : "Forgive me I didn't think Dwarfs had pointed ears."

Tuph: "Shows what yo..."

Before Tuph could finish her retort massive quakes shook the area. Acting quickly the soldiers made their way outside the garrison after suiting up for the coming rescue once the quakes ceased. After a few minutes the quakes stopped and the soldiers began to move towards the near by towns.

Meanwhile Solaris completed his work on the islands even going so far as to create villager NPCs to live in the town. One of whom a slave trader gave him a Arachne slave girl as tribute. (For those unfamiliar with Arachne they are a centaur like creature with the upper half of a human and the bottom half of a spider. They are known for their trap making and will usually only breed with humans they have trapped in their webs. As they do not usually feed on humans they are usually only avoided rather then killed.) After changing into a more inconspicuous form Solaris creates a mansion for himself to act as a village noble. Before retiring to the mansion Solaris appoints a village chief to act as leader as well as giving the work force tools and equipment. While taking a coach up to the mansion the Arachne is given the name Ashlee and made a servant of the mansion. After settling in Solaris makes a body double splitting his consciousness between him-selves to act as head of the household as the real him heads back to the temple. While Solaris settles back into the temple after being gone a few days. The village leader decided to erect a stone statue in Solaris's image as he works on opening a mine.

Meanwhile in Litharda the clean up efforts are nearing completion as a report of a new giant Island are being circulated. Among the soldiers most qualified to sail Sergeant Armiiss Athal, and Corporal Tuph Ironrock are chosen to lead the exposition to the new Island.

General Ironwood: "From this point on you'll be acting as C.O. Sergeant. The Corporal will act as second in command as well as lead a small secondary vessel full of supplies and weapons."

Tuph: "Why is he the C.O.? I've more experience at sea and in the field."

General: "This isn't up for debate he has the leadership experience and is higher rank. Don't like it get promoted. DISMISSED!"

After meeting with the general the two head out towards the docks. Where there ship were being prepped for the long voyage.

Dock-master: "No! Those supplies go on the OTHER ship! Six cannons on the main ship 8 on the supply ship."

Armiiss: "Having problems Dock-master? I can spare a few hands if need"

Dock-master: "No need just have a few green hands working but I'm cracking on em."

Armiiss: "Tough as always I see."

The Dock-master chuckled as he got back to work prepping the ships to sail. The two watched as the Dock-master whipped the green horns into shape with relative ease. A sign of his decades of experience Tuph couldn't help be smile in amazement with a firm hand he worked them into shape. Though they had a good way to go they were in great hands. Soon the ships were ready to set sail to new horizons as the two got on their respective ships the waved a hand to the Dock-master thanking his hard work. Soon the ships were prepped and ready to leave on their long journey to the newly discovered Island. With the winds at their backs they set sail towards unknown lands.

The first few days at sea were calm, almost boring but on the forth day they hit a storm. With powerful waves threatening the ships they had to think ahead. Tuph raised her main sails first Armiiss soon followed her lead raising the main sails but only his main sails. Using the oars were out of the question, as was tethering the ships together it was every man for themselves. Right as the main ship was nearing the ring of the storm their front sails were struck by lightning catching fire. With help from the rain they put out the now ruined sails as soon as both ships were safe they hooked together to trade damage reports.

Tuph:" No damage on my end really. Our aft sails were hit by lightning but they were put up so the didn't get to burned up"

Armiiss: "Can't say the same here our forward sails got ruined by a lightning strike."

After some talking and repairing/replacing of sails they continued their journey moving ahead towards their destination. A week and a half into the journey some small problems were coming out from the main ship. While Tuph's leadership was hard but fair Armiiss was more noble then sailor. Though he got the job done his higher then thou attitude was wearing thin on the rest of the crew. Some of them were more then happy to tell him to his face how they thought his attitude was. A few brawls later and they gave up, though he was for the most part a pompous windbag whom loved to talk about himself. He had the skills to back it up in kind, which the crew was about to find out.

Two weeks in they came across an angry sea serpent which coiled its way onto the main ship. The beast knocked out five crew members before Armiiss using his high elves swordsmanship took it down. That night both ships ate well filling themselves with the fresh meat of the sea beast. With Armiiss showing he was more then simple talk, the crew found a sort of respect for the pompous high elf though they didn't show it much. Soon more small storms gave the crews a nice shower, literally as they had special water tanks made to catch as much water as possible. Half of the water was used to bath in large shower areas one for males and another for females. After over two weeks of sailing a nice hot shower reinvigorated them nicely. Two more weeks came and went as the ships neared the Island they were forced to drop anchor a check point.

Check point soldier: "What business do you have in these water? Speak clearly and respectfully we have cannons at the ready."

Armiiss: "We heard reports of a newly discovered Island near here and simply wish to visit it."

Check point soldier: "And why is that?"

Armiiss: "We simply wish to establish trade, and possibly share our dwarven technology with them."

Check point soldier: "Stay as you are, I need to call this in."

With that the soldier went into the station leaving Armiiss to wait.

Crewmen: "Sir this could be bad, if the check the supply ship and find all the weapons, they may see us as hostile."

Armiiss: "You're right but we don't have much choice here, we wait."

Crewmen: "Yes sir."

After some time the soldier returned and eyed both ships carefully.

Check point soldier: "My orders are to check both ships, and barring what's found let you pass."

With no choice but to cooperate they allowed the soldiers to check the ships.

Check point soldier: "Sir there are a lot of weapons and the remains of a Sea serpent on the second ship."

Check point Commander: "A sea serpent huh? That's a nice catch. As for the weapons..."

The commander paused for a bit before continuing.

Check point Commander: "They're fine you guys are free to pass, but be warned any misconduct will be noted. We may not look like it but we have a powerful military, and the protection of our god on our side."

After the Commanders warning they were free to sail forward to the main Island. After making port Armiiss and Tuph took a small team to investigate the town while the reason of the soldiers stayed behind to protect the ships. Looking around the town it appeared to be unassuming, other than the giant mansion atop a hill near the base of the massive mountain. Armiiss was first to see the stone statue adorned with jewels from the mine, as well as a large golden crown also adorned with jewels, and in it's hand was a magical staff unlike anything they had seen. Tuph noticing soon after read the inscription. "Solaris the God of Gods, creator of the island and life itself. Praise he who came before all and who will be here after." One of the priests that came with them spoke out in disgust over the statue.

Priest Soldier: "What horrible disgusting Heretics! How dare they speak not of the Goddess Nadia the one true goddess."

At this point many villages had stopped their daily lives and started to gather near the group in noticeable anger. The Priest continued talking as the crowd grew, before Tuph knocked him out with a hard punch, another soldier took the priest back to the ship, as a knight in Mithril armor asked them to follow him. The group was lead to the village chief's house, where Tuph and Armiiss was lead into his office, as the rest of the group were left outside with a few armed guards.

Tuph: "Did you notice?" she asked whispering to Armiiss.

Armiiss: "Every soldier was wearing Mithril armor."

Tuph: "How is that possible? I thought the one that lead us here was the captain of the guard, but every guard here has mithril armor."

There was no more time to talk as they entered the chief's office. Greeted by a surprisingly young man with white hair and purple eyes they were offered a seat and some tea.

Gabriel: " My name is Gabriel, I am the chief of this village. I was told by one of my guard, that one of your companions was making a huge fuss over the statue of our god Solaris. Though it would appear that one of you had ended the conflict yourselves."

Tuph: "We're sorry about our priest's behavior. We don't want to offend any of you."

Gabriel: "It's fine that's not the reason I called you here anyway. As you can see we are a stable yet small country, with a lot of valuable resources. We also have the protection of our God Solaris, so we wish to start a trade with your country in hopes of technological development."

Armiiss: "You say you are the village chief, yet you seem very young. How did you become the chief of this village?"

Gabriel: "I was chosen to lead by Solaris. He appointed me as village chief."

Armiiss: "I see, and how did he appoint you is there a ritual how do you talk to him?"

Gabriel: "Interested in Solaris are we? Well to answer there is no ritual, he just visits from time to time."

Armiiss: "Visits?"

Gabriel: "Well that's enough of that, lets talk about business."

With that Gabriel had a long talk with the two of them. A few hours later after a lengthy chat with Gabriel, they returned to the ships to find the priest awake and irate.

Priest: "How dare you punch a Priest you demi-human bitch!"

Taking a swing at Tuph the priest soon found himself on the floor a blade to his throat.

Tuph: "Do that again and I'll take it as treason and execute you on the spot."

Kicking the priest in the gut for good measure, Tuph ordered him locked to the brig till he calmed down. The next morning Tuph was awoken by one of the the ship's crew. It seemed as if the priest had escaped just before dawn with out a trace. To make matters worse, a small squad of armed guards, all in mithril armor came to the ship looking for her and Armiiss. Taking them both into custody, they threw them both into the back of a jailer's coach and rode off. At first the two were quite confused, and assumed they were headed to the village chief's dungeon. That changed when they saw the town's statue, The crown, staff, and jewels that once adorned the statue were no where to be seen. It was then they figured what was going on. The priest must have broken out just before dawn and stolen the crown, staff, and jewels. Tuph feared the worst as the drove closer to the chief's house, but was met with more confusion as they drove past.

Armiiss knew what was going on, obviously the village chief was a figure head. They were about to meet the real leader of the village, and that terrified him to his core. Though the low roads they crept closer to the hill top mansion, Tuph realizing to late as the coach head up the semi-steep hill. Closer, and closer they ride towards the ginormous near castle like house of the hill, once past the front gate they coach slowed to a crawl, as if to let them take in the majesty of the large mansion, and the land it laid upon. At the main entrance the carriage came to a stop as the guards forcefully pulled them out. The guards dragged in Armiiss, as one carried in Tuph over his shoulder, like one would a child throwing a tantrum. Once inside they were greeted by the village chief.

Gabriel: "Care to explain why the towns most sacred treasures are gone?"

He asked in a tone that barely hid his great anger. Armiiss was the first to speak up at his question.

Armiiss: "It seems the Priest we had locked up escaped and made off with them. I apologize immensely for this offence. We will do all we can to help you find the treasures he stole."

???: "No point in that. It would appear your rouge priest stole a small sailing vessel and fled. By now he's either long gone, or at the bottom of the seas with the treasures."

Turning their attention to the stairs down came an older, albeit dashing gentleman. Tall, slightly darkened skin, with a fresh tropical tan, much like the rest of the village, minus the Chief who almost seemed albino save for his eye color. Dressed in very fine clothing golden buttons and diamond studded cuff-links. His hair was slightly lighter then most though it was unknown if that was from age or natural.

Gabriel: "Sir I know you said we should use you mansion to hold this meeting , but you have no need to join us."

Armiiss: "I'm sorry to ask but, who is that man?"

Gabriel: "This is sir Phoebus Apollo Lord of Remnant that is was the name chosen by the villagers for this island nation."

Phoebus: "I'd say nice to meet you, but during this circumstances, I will have to refrain."

Tuph: "What happens now?"

Phoebus: "Now? Now we either go to war, one you would lose no mistaking and sale you two into slavery as will as you're crew, or... you find some way to repay us for the value of the stolen and now lost treasures."

Armiiss: "And how much were they worth?"

Phoebus: "Five mini elemental gems, twenty sapphires, and one emerald in total."

Armiiss: "There's no way it was that much!"

Phoebus: "I can assure you they were. The jewels where diamonds of various colors, the crown was a special alloy of gold, magic steel, and mithril, and the Staff was given to us by Solaris himself. Honestly I feel like I maybe under selling the value quite a bit."

Armiiss had no more words nothing any of them, himself, Tuph, or the crew could say would defuse this situation, or so he thought.

Tuph: "What if I gave you something equal in value?"

Suddenly Tuph spoke up standing up cautiously.

Phoebus: "What do you have that you think comes close to that value?"

Tuph gingerly moved from behind the table standing at a measurable distance from Phoebus.

Tuph: "How about my virginity."

Armiiss: "YOU CAN'T!!"

Armiiss jumped up from his seat nearly knocking it over as he looked at Tuph.

Tuph: "He was part of my crew, and I let him do something unforgivable to these people. If that will make up for it then I will do what I must."

Armiiss: "You do this and you'll never be able to get married!"

Phoebus clapped his hands loudly, almost ear shatteringly so before speaking.

Phoebus: "Do you think your worth is equal to those treasures?"

Tuph: "I do, yes."

Phoebus: "And why is that?"

Tuph: "I'm the twelfth daughter of the great Dwarven king. A Maiden of honor in the court, as well as a holy knight. I believe I have the worth needed to trade values."

Phoebus looked at the small dwarf scratching his chin lightly.

Phoebus: "And if I asked you to please every man in the guard?"

Tuph: "If that would prevent war then I would."

Phoebus slowly walked over and examined her carefully. He even checked her stats and background though magic to see if she rang truth.

Phoebus: "I see and do you have proof of your words?"

Knowing already what she said was the truth he waited for her response. Tuph responded with the dwarven royal seal that adorned her ring, prove of her linage and of her telling the truth. Phoebus/Solaris were at a loss this was the perfect way to start a war and this princess was presenting herself, her maiden hood as a trade for the treasures. Certainly the maiden hood of a true blue princess was equal in value but it felt wrong to take. Seating himself, he moved for everyone to sit back down as well. As he sat there holding his hands to his forehead he thought long and hard about the situation at hand.

Phoebus: "Right then."

Suddenly Phoebus looked up a small fire burning behind his eyes drawing everyone attention.

Phoebus: "We'll forgive the theft, on the condition your country and ours become allies. Sooner or later the business brought from this will pay back the value."

Tuph: "Can you really do that? It seems,... a bit wrong."

Phoebus: "I can, and I am."

Everyone else was unsure even Gabriel.

Gabriel: " I know you speak for Solaris sometimes as a medium but is this really okay?"

Phoebus nodded and ordered his servants to get them all some tea. After everyone had a chance to calm down with some tea, Tuph voiced her concerns yet again only to be shut down. After everything that happened and the refreshments were severed. It was to late in the night for the two to return to their ships. As such they were offered rooms to spend the night in. As Phoebus sat in bed watching the clock as it ticked away, he was slightly surprised by a soft knock on his bedroom door. His bed creaking softly as he stood up, he walked over opening the door cautiously. In the darkness of the night, he almost didn't notice the small dwarven princess as she stood outside his room. Knowing what she intended, he couldn't turn the lady away, and he invited her into his room. The next morning Tuph awoken to an unknown ceiling with a small start. Looking around in slight confusion the remembrance of her nightly campaign caused her to blush madly.

Phoebus: "Awake are we?"

Tuph squeaked lightly holding her cheeks.

Phoebus: "You okay? You seem a bit out of it."

Tuph: "W-wh-what happened last night?"

Phoebus: "Hmm, nothing really. You came in a bit drunk, and I let you fall asleep on the bed, while I took the chair."

Tuph: "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have drank so much last night. I'm not a big drinker usually, but I was pretty stressed last night."

After a bit of a chat the two of them left Phoebus's room to the dining hall. As they entered Armiiss grabbed Phoebus by the collar of his shirt.

Armiiss: "You bastard, you said all that last night and yet you..."

Tuph: "Armiiss stop! It's not what you think! Nothing happened."

Armiiss lost for words let go of Phoebus who fixed his shirt collar.

Armiiss: "I apologize to you. I'm sorry."

Phoebus: "It's quite alright, anyone would have thought the same. On the bright side, I was able to enjoy her cute side this morning."

Tuph blushed furiously at these words as Armiiss teased her slightly asking what he meant.

After breakfast the two were allowed to leave, heading back to their ships in order to explain the situation with their crew. As that event came to a close, back in the temple Solaris was busy practicing his spells. Up till now they were second nature to use as the systems where nearly identical, but the new spells that were added to the game he had no practice with. Subsequently he had no idea if they worked properly or even what some did in this virtual universe. While testing the new powers Solaris unintentionally created a copy of the island. It was a complete mirror image including the text on the statue. Devoid of life he had his other self Phoebus create a teleportation gate to and from "Mirror Island" to Remnant so he could easily travel there and back.

Solaris: "Hmm, greater creation massive object. That magic is a bit on the nose, but I can see it being very useful in the future."

Three weeks came and went sooner then expected, With Solaris busy finishing his magic investigation, he could safely say that while some of the abilities weren't as he thought, they worked as designed. While that was finishing up Tuph and Armiiss had returned sooner then expected and given their report. While the King was happy to see his daughter safe, he was a bit unwelcoming of the news about the priest and the offer of a treaty.

King Ironrock: "No matter the circumstances a treaty with an unknown entity is dubious at best. If the island is as small as you say my troops can easily beat them."

Tuph: "Father you weren't there you didn't see their troops. Even the lowest ranking soldiers wear MITHRIL armor."

Putting the greatest emphasis on the word mithril she looked at her father with pleading eyes. The King looked at his daughter with contempt and disgust as he tapped his fingers.

King Ironwood: "It seems... I've raised quite the cowardly princess. I care not of their armaments or armor, our kingdom's resources are nearly gone. We need to find a new source of wealth, and now that we have, you cower in fear like a scared child?! Or perhaps you have been taken in by this Phoebus person?"

Tuph's pleas would fall on deaf ears, fed up with her continuous whining her father ordered her locked in the highest ranking prison. There she would remain until he conquered this new land
