(Dan's Pov)

When we reached her room and the door shut behind us, she went straight to the mirror to take off her makeup. I walked the bed and sat down. "Sorry the date was a bust," she said and I jumped. "No no it's ok!" I said quickly. "You can relax. I'm not going to hurt you. You're about as dangerous as a pink butterfly on a pastel marshmallow. So if you misbehave I can easily take you," she chuckled and I let my body relax a bit. "So since you freaked out last time that I didn't give you a warning. I'm going to change into my pajamas. You should change too. I think I have a pair from the last guy that was my pet," she said as she walked to her closet and I prepared to close my eyes. She began to strip and I snapped my eyes shut. I opened them when I felt silk on my face. I pulled it off to reveal a pair of silk pajamas in my hands. "Go ahead I won't look," she teased as she turned around and I quickly changed. (Y/n) walked to the opposite side of the bed as she sat down, she got out her phone and started going through social media.

"So is this it for tonight," I asked. "Well we didn't get to eat because of that dick-bag so I just texted my guard to go get us dinner. Do you have any allergies," she asked which surprised me. "No I don't," I said and she smiled. "Good," She said. "Are we eating on your bed," I asked. "No, they will bring a fold up table and chairs. You can use that tablet over there. It only has movies on it so don't get excited, but it will help pass the time," she said hopefully.

"You really got everything here," I said and she chuckled. "You could say that. Now I have a friend so now I really do have everything in here," she smiled. "Even if I wasn't your pet I would probably be friends with you," I said and she leaned closer to me. "Well aren't you sweet. Thanks. I appreciate it. Oh and your name was Dan right. Figured you deserve a name. Normally I pick something humiliating for you, but I think I have a soft spot for you now," she chuckled leaning back and I blushed.

After 15 minuets two guards came in with the take and chair and another with a large silver tray. They set it all up and when they left we sat down. "So we're having (fav food), hope that's ok," she smiled. "Yeah, I haven't had this in a while," i said and we just started eating. I got half way done when I needed to say something. I don't like silence, even though she seemed content with it.

"So you like gambling," I asked. "You could say that," she said taking another bite. "What do you mean," I asked. "Well I had to get good to survive. As the daughter of the boss I can't turn down a challenge. The bets you heard upstairs happen frequently. For my body, my life. Money is the last thing I'm worried about loosing," she smiled. "Wow sounds harsh," I said before taking a drink. "Hey it makes it thrilling. I love the rush it gives me when the stakes are at its highest. I guess I'm a little odd," she chuckled. "I see," I said. "You sure ask a lot of questions. Is someone interested," she teased. "What no!" I said quickly. "Hahaha that's so cute. If your weren't my pet, I may have liked you too," she chuckled. "Really," I asked surprised. "Yeah besides the wimpy exterior, You're a real sweet heart. Better than any guy I've dated so far," she smiled. And my face got even redder. "Plus I like it when you blush," she winked and I covered my face. She laughed and I smiled.

"Well I can't believe I'm thinking this, but I think I have a crush on this crazy girl," I though eating some more off my plate. "So Dan tell me about you," she asked. "Uh well (life story). So since it's my birthday, my friend and I came here," I finished. "Wow this feels so much like a first date," she chuckled. "Thanks I guess," I managed to say. "Let's keep getting to know each other. Ask me anything," she smiled. "Are you happy," I asked with out thinking and she went quiet. "Didn't expect that first question. Um you could say I'm comfortable. I guess I'm happy. This is the only life I know, so I have nothing to compare it to. Not much to complain about to be honest," she explained. "Sorry that question kinda slipped out," I apologized. "No no it's ok. I like how much you care about a stranger. It's refreshing," she smiled. Before I could finish she whispered, "So this is what it's like to be cared about."

(Narrator Pov)

"I want to gamble with you," he said hesitantly. Catching her off guard. "Hm? Ok," she smiled as she turned and got a pack of new cards from the a dresser drawer behind her. "The game is higher or lower. The higher the bet, the choice of you picking what is the value which the cards are judged. So let's get started," she smirked. "Deal," said Dan and she delt the cards. "We'll start with 20 chips. Each worth 1.5 million dollars. If you win you could buy back your freedom," she said and Dan was surprised. "Why are you doing that? You want me to get my freedom," he said confused. "I want you to be happy. You know life beyond these walls. Honestly you made me care about you," she softly smiled. Dan looked at his hand. Then said, "ok I bet 20 chips," he said and she was taken back. "Wow you must really want the power of choice. No surprise, you must really want to leave," she said a little sadness in her voice. "How about we make this more interesting," he smiled. "What do you have in mind," she said as she raised an eyebrow.

"So if I win, you come back with me to England and live with me. But if you win I move to America and I live with you," smiled Dan. "Hahaha it's a deal. It's your call" she smirked. "I call. Higher," said Dan laying his hand down. She smiled looking at his hand, before throwing her cards behind her saying:

"I fold."
