Sidharth returned from his clinic after a tiring day and I, as an ardent wife present him tea. He sips it sitting down on the floor while I sit behind him on the sofa placing my legs over his shoulders giving him a head massage thinking about his birthday surprise.

Sid: Shehnaaz, why are you so quite today? Anything wrong?

Shehnaaz: Hmm.. Nothing..

Sid: You blabber so much while massaging everyday. I can't believe that there is nothing. Tell me darling! Have I done anything wrong?

I tighten my grip on his hair and pull him back and kiss his forehead. He smiles.

Shehnaaz: How can you do something wrong baby? I am just bit tired as I went to shopping today with Reshma. You know na its her engagement next week?

Sid: Okay!! Did you buy something for yourself?

Shehnaaz: Yes, I did but I can't show you right now.

Sid: Okay! I love surprises!!

Sidharth is sleeping like a baby, I pull his blanket at 11:55 pm. He gets scared.

Sid: Huhh.. (sits up straight) What happened Baby? Are you alright?

Shehnaaz: I think there is someone in the hall. I could hear some noise.

Sid: Is it? Let me check!

He walks out of the bed, while I hold his hand and we walk towards the hall. It's dark there and when we reach the centre of the hall, the lights are on and there is a big noise

'Surprise! Happy Birthday to you.. Happy Birthday to you.. Happy birthday dear Sidharth, Happy birthday to you"

He smiles and hugs me! While Reshma blasts a confetti bomb on us! Few of our close friends and family were present in their pajamas. It was a pajama party.

Sid: Thank you all! That was a great surprise!!

I pick up the gift box placed on the table and hand it to him with a big smile. I ask him to open it!

He smiles and opens it, everyone watching joyfully. His face shows confusion since the box is full of confettis. I ask him to dig it and he obeys. He pull out something and everyone is perplexed about what it could be. His eyes are now filled with tears so are mine and there is a big smile on both our faces.

Sid: Is it? (Looking at Shehnaaz)

I nod shyly and he hugs me tightly for long time while people around look at us in surprise and Reshma recording the moment for us.

Sid: Guys!! This was the best surprise birthday gift I could ever have! For those wondering what is the gift, we are pregnant!! (Big smile flashing the tested prego kit with 2 lines on it)

Everyone applaud, hoot and whistle with joy! Mom and dad (Sid's parents), give us a hug and bless us both. Everyone congratulates us one by one.

Sid: Sweetheart, I am so happy today! So finally after 6 months of our marriage, my kiss worked. (Winking)

Shehnaaz: Yeah!! (Giggling)

Sid: So how many months pregnant are we? You seem to become a smart-ass hiding things from me!

Shehnaaz: Remember, I went for shopping with Reshma 2 days back? While talking to her, I told her that I've missed my periods, that's when she told me to take the test. It's been 2 months and I didn't have any nausea so I just couldn't doubt before. So smartness credit goes to Reshma here!

He kisses me and we enjoy our happiness with friends and family.

Sid: Baby, don't worry! No need to rush, there is still lot of time for the Mahurat.

It's Reshma's wedding and I am huge in size, my clothes which I bought for her wedding is tight and I have to do last moment alterations. The tailor is working on it and I don't want to miss Reshma's wedding at any cost.

Tailor: Ma'am, it's done! Can you try and check?

I take the cloth and walk into the trail room. Ta-daa!! Perfect!! I come out with a big grin. Sidharth smiles looking at me!

Sid: Someone's looking damn sexy!! Chalo, let me take you to the parlor for quick make up!

I blow him a kiss while the tailor smiles at our cute moment!! We reach the wedding venue after the parlour visit. Mom and dad were already there and Reshma gave a big sigh as I am her only family!!

The priest declares 'Vivah sampann hua" (Declared Married) and while everyone claps, I feel warm fluid gushing down my pants! I hold Sidharths arm tightly and he looks at me.

Shehnaaz: Sidharth, I think I peed in my pants!! How embarrassing!! What do I do now?

Sid: (he looks down and at Shehnaaz) Calm down. I will take you home.

He takes me out carefully holding my hands and help me sit inside the car. He closes the door and before coming to his driving seat I find him talking to someone on phone.

Shehnaaz: Hey Sidharth, I think you are going in a wrong direction. And this stupid pee is just not stopping. (Annoyed)

Sid: it's ok Darling! Just relax! I know we are on right track.

He pulls the car infront of the Maternity Home!

Shehnaaz: What's this Sidharth? I need to change, why did you get me here?

Sid: Baby, just don't panic, your water broke, it's not pee. Can you imagine we are having our baby today?

I am shocked, he was so calm all the way. Ofcourse!! He is a Doctor! Suddenly I scream.

Shehnaaz: Sidharth, its hurting!

Sid: Baby!! I know it hurts!! Just breath. I'll help you out of the car, we will walk inside. The more you walk, the better during delivery. Just remember the breathing exercise we practiced everyday. Ok?

I nod and we walk to the labour room slowly. Mom, dad, Reshma and Jiju (Reshma's husband) arrive. Everytime I scream, I unkowingly crush his hands and he calmly reminds me to breath. Just when it's time, he asks me to lie down on the bed and places his hand on my forehead while the gynocologist help me push out the little life out into this world.

His eyes glow looking at the little bundle of joy who is now happily feeding my milk. Sidharth holds the baby adoringly. Mom and dad kiss the baby and puts a black dot behind her ear.

Reshma: You love me a lot Motto, this is the best wedding gift! My little motto! She is so adorable!

Shehnaaz: Jiju, did I ruin your wedding celebration?

Jiju: Not at all Shehnaaz. (Pointing at Reshma) She wasn't this happy when we took our wedding vows. My happiness lies in her happiness and hers in yours.

I hug Reshma and we shed some tears of joy. We look at Sidharth who is happily holding the baby even though is clothes are fully wet by baby's pee.

Sid: Shehnaaz, she is giving you a tough competition in cuteness.

Shehnaaz: I am happy to lose the competition darling!
