Gajeel's POV

I landed several punches on Owen before he started to bleed. It felt good, getting all of my anger out. I'd punch him in the face, then maybe in the stomach. Soon I'd forgotten why I started punching him, I just knew that this was fun.
"Gajeel...? Can you find out how to get this bomb off of me?" Levys voice brought me back from wherever I was. It definitely wasn't sanity.
"Hm? Oh, uh sorry Shrimp." I backed away from the beaten up Owen. Levy cautiously walked over to him, flinching every time Owen coughed.
"Owen? Please, answer our questions and we won't hurt you anymore. At all." She gave me a death stare. I put my hands up and sat down.
"Okay, perfect." Levy smiled at me then turned back to Owen. "How can we remove this thing?"
"You expect me to tell you?"
"Uh duh! I don't know if you've already realised this but-"
"But what?"
Levy stood in silence.
"I don't know." She fell to her knees and sobbed. "I just don't want to die! I want to become a doctor! I- I want to see the world! I want to study ancient languages! I want to get fired! I want to find a husband! I want children! I want a life!" She continued to cry before she started to tug on the bomb.
"Levs, i wouldn't do that if I were you."
"I don't care Gajeel. I'm already going to die in, like eleven hours and some minutes... Why not end it all here? In some alleyway?!"
She wouldn't listen to any reason I gave.
"We have to tell the others that-,"
"That we're okay? That we have Owen? Like that'll solve anything!"
"Levy..."
"What?! Why couldn't you have left me alone instead of trying to protect me?"
Her words hurt.
But...
I...
Damn.
"FINE THEN! I'LL LEAVE YOU ALL RIGHT! HOW ABOUT I LEAVE YOU RIGHT NOW?!" I stormed away with Owen in tow. "I'm bringing this shithead to the station. Even if you have an easy way out, I have to prove my innocence."
I didn't look back as levy kept screaming my name.
I endured the pain and walked away.

Just to hear minutes later,
"You are one bad boyfriend."
I glared at Owen.
"Oh come on Gajeel, it's obvious she likes you and you like her too."
I kicked him where the sun don't shine then punched him in his stupid face.
"One. Levy and I are friends. Two. You are going down. And three. I don't care if I'm seen as a bad guy, this is a story where the guy doesn't get the girl. This thing or whatever you planned is just going to kill a girl who made a silly mistake once in her life. If anyone should be killed, it should've been the driver. And guess who the driver was?"
Owen raised his eyebrows.
"Who? WHO KILLED THEM?!" He questioned.
I smirked and laughed.
"Oh you thought you were one smart son of a bitch. Well you're wrong! The real killer was my father!" Owen held his head, mumbling about planning his next kill. "But do you want to know the thing which will make you go mad? He disappeared seven years ago."
"What?!"
"That's right, you can't get any sort of revenge!"
Owen smiled and looked at me. "On the contrary. I can always kill you."
I chuckled. "Well, that's going to be a hard thing to do from a cell!"
I took my phone out of my pocket and called Flame Brain.
"Hey Natsu, it's Gajeel. ...look I don't care if you know it's me by caller ID! I've got Owen. Levy... She's in trouble................... Why? She has a bomb around her neck and she is about to set it off."
"We'll come as soon as possible. Don't worry Gajeel! Wait, were you at the bakery?"
"Yeah."
"We're on our way."
Owen sighed as we waited for Natsu and the others. I didn't go after Levy. Why should I?
When Natsu came, Lucy was right behind him.
"Where's levy?"
I shrugged. "You'll know it's her because of the bomb around her neck."
Lucy slapped me.
"She has a frickin' bomb around her neck and you left her all alone-,"
"In an alleyway." Owen added.
"In a probably very shady alleyway without anyone to help her?! How do you know she hasn't set it off yet?!"
"There hasn't been any sort of explosion."
Lucy slapped me again then turned to Natsu. "We're going after her. Me and Gajeel are anyway, Natsu it's up to you to take Owen back to the station."
He nodded then grabbed Owen and ran off. Lucy turned to me and frowned.
"why on earth does she like you?"
I shrugged.
I really didn't know.

Levys POV

After Gajeel left me, I kept crying. I was scared beyond belief, if there wasn't someone there to hug I would've pulled the bomb off straightaway.
"Huh?"
"Meow." PantherLily was sat beside me tilting his head as if to ask what was wrong.
I pointed to the bomb and he sniffed it. He sat back and looked at me with a straight face.
"It's a bomb. It's going to explode."
...
"Wait, you're just a cat. You don't understand me at all." I cried again, but this time PantherLily snuck into my little arms and lay there. "You're a good cat."
We stayed like that for a while. But finally PantherLily left my arms and walked away, but before he exited the alley he looked back at me, beckoning me to him. I followed him, wondering where this cat was going to lead me.
After a while, we came to one of the most beautiful places in Magnolia.
It was a cliff behind an old abandoned inn called 'Love and Lucky'.
I sat near the edge of the cliff and sighed. It overlooked the sea and the beach, it was stunning.
I looked at my watch and breathed in sharply.
I only had a couple of hours left. The trek here had taken ages.
"Oh well, at least nobody will hear me die."
I became curious about the inn and stood up, I was going to die in a couple of hours so why shouldn't I check the place out?
I opened the old door and stepped inside. The furniture was covered in rags and cloth. I strolled along the hallways and found a pen lying on the floor.
"I wonder if there is any paper?" So I went on a search for some paper, and found some behind the front desk.
Once I'd found a sturdy surface to write on, I began to write my last letter.

To my dearest friends,

It took me minutes to write my letter.
I noticed that I still had more paper, so I wrote another letter. To someone who I cared about.
Who? I won't say.
That letter however, took me an hour. The sun was setting by that time and I sat on the cliff edge once again.
"Levy?!" I turned on hearing my name to see Gajeel and Lucy, following PantherLily. "Get away from there! We'll help you!"
I shook my head and walked towards them. But I didn't go with them. I placed down the two letters I had written than started to walk backwards.
"I'm sorry, but I can't. I may be young, I may want things... but I took something precious away from somebody's eyes. This bomb, is impossible to take off. Without me dying of course."
"Levy, what're you doing?!" Lucy screamed, tears running down her face.
"if I'm going to die, I'd want to die in a place which would be beautiful." I gestured to the inn and to the sunset. "And I wouldn't want anyone to get hurt seeing me die. So please, look away."
"No! You're not going to die here levy! For gods sake! I love you!" Gajeel shouted .
My heart fluttered. But it was already too late, my foot which was stepping backwards met the air, and I fell off of the cliff.
As I fell, I heard my loves voice from above.
"LEVY!!!"
