----TWO WEEKS AFTER THE PREVIOUS CHAPTER----

Gajeel's POV

I sat in the cell, waiting for what was going to happen to me. What happened two weeks ago gave me nightmares.
I could still remember the smell of the blood, and how when the police stormed my hands were covered in Owen's...
Stop. I have to stop thinking of it. Shrimp didn't exactly help me. She couldn't say anything.
That was because she was scared. Gajeel, c'mon dude. Imagine if you were her.
But then again... She said that she killed his parents... AND when her parents died she went through intense training so that she could stay alive and defend herself...
She's full of lies.
Over the two weeks, I developed a small hatred for the bluenette. It was only small, but it was still there.
I stood up in my cell and walked over to the bars.
"Hey." I called out to the police officer behind the desk. He looked at me, then I saw his eyes drift towards all of my metal piercings.
"They hurt?" He asked.
"Eh, I've been through worse." He nodded and sat up.
"What do you want?"
"To know when I'll get my sentence."
"How old are ya?"
"Seventeen."
"You that kid who they found with blood on his hands and the little girl?"
"Yup."
He took a sharp breath through his gritted teeth. "They said they'll be here at twelve."
I looked at the clock. It read eleven fifteen.
"Was it you?" The man approached me.
"Yeah, I was protecting Levy-"
"The girl? I nodded. "Proceed."
"He was going to kill us both, so I shot him... I was meant to shoot like his arm or something..."
"But you shot him in his chest."
"Uh huh."
The man looked at me again the scrunched up his face.
"I've seen kids like you who we're yelling for their release saying the didn't so it. You're the first I've seen admit to what they've done."
"Thanks, but that won't help me."

I sighed and sat back down in my cell. The officer walked back to his desk and sat on his chair. 

I don't know how long we sat there for, but eventually a more important looking guy walked in and handed the officer a piece of paper.

"Hm? Oh... I see."

"What is it?" I asked, the guy in the suit.

"Your jail sentence."

I took a deep breath. The trial was all blurry, and I had to leave halfway because of some strange reason.

"How long?"

"Do you really want to know?"

"I'm the one who's going to be rotting in that cell for that time, so yeah."

The man passed me the piece of paper and I read the time.

That ain't too bad... "Will I finish school?"

The man shook his head. "You're going there tomorrow morning." With that, he left the room leaving me and the officer in silence.

Damn, I hid in the corner of my cell and leant against the wall. I wiped my eyes and sighed. Shrimp... DAMMIT!

Levy's POV

I was curled up in a ball in my bed, clutching the covers and taking deep breaths. I lied about having to go through intense training, it was just something Erza taught me once. I'm still glad it worked though, Owen seemed scared.... Crap.

I couldn't help but cry, it was my fault that he was dead. That his whole family was dead.

-(FLASHBACK)-

I was crossing the road from school. It was a lovely sunny day and the town was nice and quiet. I didn't see the car coming from my right. Across the road were Owen's parents who were telling me to run. I didn't know why they were waving, so I waved back.

Mr Williams ran towards me followed closely by Mrs Williams. I stepped backwards because I was scared, but when the car suddenly crashed into them it wasn't me who screamed.  I turned around to try and identify the voice the person was gone.

I was alone, with the crying driver and the Williams.

--(FLASHBACK END)--

I was awoken from my thoughts when there was a knock at my door.

"Levy? Hey, it's Lucy." I wiped my tears from my eyes and walked over to the door. Once I opened it I saw Lucy as well as Erza, Natsu, Gray, Juvia, Wendy, Romeo, Mira, Lisanna and a couple of other students. Lucy hugged me tightly. "We've been so worried! You wouldn't return any of our calls or texts and you locked your door! Have you been eating enough?!"

"Yeah, don't worry. Is that all you guys wanted?"

They all exchanged glances and then sighed together. 

"Gajeel.." Erza began.

"Levy, Gajeel's going to jail for fifteen years." Natsu finished.

My heart sank. Tears filled my eyes again. My head throbbed.

Wh-What?!

"No!" I broke down. I couldn't help it. I fell to my knees and held my head in my hands. Lucy knelt down beside me and gave me a hug. Others joined in. "If only I'd gone to the trial! I don't need shock therapy! Just please... NO!" I screamed.

"Ah-hem." I looked up and saw the group had parted to create an aisle for... HeadMaster Makarov. "Levy, I understand that you know fully well what happened. Have you told the authorities about your role in the matter?"

"No, not really."  I replied sheepishly.

"Well, tomorrow morning we'll all go down to the station, you tell them what happened and we'll see what happens." Makarov smiled at me. "It was self-defense wasn't it?"

I nodded. "Owen was going to kill me, the katana at the crime scene... He dropped it when Gajeel shot him. To protect me."

"I see, but did Gajeel aim for Owen's chest?"

I shook my head. "He had his eyes closed."

Makarov nodded. "Well then." He turned to the small crowd. "Fairy Tail! Tomorrow we shall serve justice!"

The crowd roared in agreement and I smiled as people told me to stay strong.

Gajeel... We're coming to help you,
