liii.
Mingyu stares at his phone silently as he sprinkles some spices into the chicken he's making. The rice cooker suddenly lets out a shrill whistle, causing him to jump. Mingyu quickly moves to slow the gas, sighing in relief once the sound has stopped and he can hear the song playing on the radio again. He sings along to the height of the song loudly, using the ladle as his microphone, and when he's done singing his part, he hears the front door open.
"Wonwoo-hyung? Is that you?" Mingyu calls. He slows the gas and walks into the hallway, dusting off his hands on the apron he found in Wonwoo's pantry. He smiles when he sees his boyfriend taking off his shoes.
"How was your night? Did you guys have fun?" Mingyu asks, taking Wonwoo's jacket from him and hanging it in the closet.
"It was nice. They seemed more interested in your life than mine though," Wonwoo replies. "Especially Woo-hyuk. Ever since he found out that you two like a lot of the same things, he's been obsessed with you."
"He's cool! Such good taste...truly a man of culture. I like him and your other friends," Mingyu tells Wonwoo, smiling. "Not as much as I like you though, of course."
"Dork." Wonwoo grins at Mingyu's pouting face before saying, "I'm going to go take a quick shower."
"Alright. Lunch should be ready soon," Mingyu says. "Don't take too long." Wonwoo nods his agreement and walks off to his room.

"I'm finished," Wonwoo announces, walking into the open living room. He turns on the TV and lets some random drama play before walking into the kitchen.
"About time," Mingyu teases. He's stirring the rajma when he feels Wonwoo come up behind him and hug him from behind.
"What're you making?" Wonwoo asks, placing his head on Mingyu's shoulder. "Indian food?"
"Yeah," Mingyu responds, slowing the gas for the chicken curry. He dips the ladle in the chicken curry then raises it for Wonwoo to take it, gesturing for the older boy to taste it. "Does it taste alright?"
"It does." Wonwoo nods, and Mingyu smiles. He turns off the gas for all of the dishes and turns around in Wonwoo's arms.
"You didn't dry your hair?" Mingyu questions.
"You told me to hurry," Wonwoo points out. Mingyu sighs.
"You're going to get cold if the water wets your clothes," Mingyu tells Wonwoo.
"That's what the towel's for." Wonwoo points to the towel around his neck. Mingyu rolls his eyes and grabs the towel, drying Wonwoo's hair softly with it. Wonwoo hums.
"That feels nice," Wonwoo says, smirking proudly at Mingyu. Mingyu stops rubbing the towel across Wonwoo's head and frowns.
"You just didn't dry your hair because you wanted me to do it for you, didn't you?" Mingyu accuses, and Wonwoo winks. Mingyu huffs. "Lazy jerk."
"You still like me though," Wonwoo retorts, and he grins at Mingyu's frowning face.
"Whatever, Wonwoo-hyung. Just go get the garlic naan out of the oven and get us plates," Mingyu commands, and Wonwoo salutes him playfully.
"Yes, sir!"
