it's been so long since she felt anything
so when she felt the last raindrops touch her heart
and cascade down her skin
and saw the dark sky slowly clearing
her fake smile washed away
she didn't remember when everything went wrong
but now she had repented of her sin
she had nothing left to offer
and nothing left to hide
but she didn't feel the need to belong
