Chapter One: Beginnings
Annalise Demne woke in Her cabin, sunlight streaming through the windows, to the sound of another demigod arriving. Her cabin so far was the smallest so she'd volunteered to take this one, she just hoped that it would be worth it. She quickly slipped her feet into the bear slippers her father had gotten her for Christmas and stepped out, the pebbles crunching beneath her feet. She pushed through the crowd of demigods, continually saying, "excuse me, coming through, this ones mine," until people got the point and let her through. In the middle of the circle was a girl about the same age as Annalise herself, looking extremely confused at why everyone was staring at her.
As Annalise stepped out and stuck out a hand to the girl, a wind picked up and threw her blonde hair in her face and she lifted a hand to push it away, "Hi, I'm Annalise, you can call me Anna." The girl smiled and shook her hand, "My names Mars." Everyone gasped when she said that. No one had ever been named after a god before at camp halfblood. The girls green eyes darted about, and the strands of her black hair came out of her ponytail as the wind blew. "Um, why is everyone staring at me?" She looked at Annalise. "I mean, my dads an astronomer, is it that bad to be named after a planet?" Her face began to blush because everyone was looking at her.
Annalise sighed, "Just follow me and I'll tell you on the way." The girl quickly nodded and followed Annalise to her cabin. Telling her about the gods, and all that jazz. When they got back she looked, if possible, even more confused then before. Anna gave Mars the bed next to hers and a camp half blood t-shirt. When she had changed, they headed over to the dining pavilion for breakfast.
