The Battle of Earth? It was one of the most terrifying battles in the history of the universe. The Mad Titan, Thanos, had arrived on Earth on a quest to reclaim the Infinity Stones for himself, but was stopped by the Avengers. A lot of heroes sacrificed themselves to protect the universe, Thanos was defeated, and the Stones were scattered, destined to be lost forever.

The others were quiet as I aired my opinion. Max looked at me expectantly. Tania quietly fidgeted with her fingernails, probably trying to comprehend the circumstances. Dr. Strange appeared distant and pained, as the painful memories came flooding back to him. I know what it feels like- to lose people you trust, who've always got your back.
He stood up and walked to the window, looking out in the darkness.
The sun had set, and everything was warped in the embrace of a soothing darkness.

"There was an idea." He started slowly." To bring together a group of remarkable people, to see if they could become..... something more. So when they needed us, we could fight the battles. That they never could."

His voice became heavy." The Avengers were much more than a race of heroes. They stood as a symbol, a beacon of hope, a guardian of the light. So even when everything else had gone wrong, we were there, to fix it."
We looked at him in silence. I felt his pain, yet I felt relieved that he was opening himself to us. Sometimes you need to let the pain flow out, rather than try to stop it.
"Soooo, you guys stopped this Thanos?" Tania asked.
"Yes,but at a steep cost." Strange sighed.
I asked." From what I've heard, someone is behind all this. The war, destruction of the Novas,this massacre for the Stone..... someone has been orchestrating this play. We need to find this Master."
" Can you?" Tania looked at me.
I thought of Kragil and his prisoner." Yes."
" So we just sit idly in the meantime?"
"No." I said." We've a job to do. Dr. Strange, do you know the current whereabouts of the other Stones?"
"Why?"
"I feel that we are just mere pawns in a more intricate game. If this Master went into such trouble to acquire this Stone, chances are he's looking for the others too. But if we can find them before him....."
"We can stop this war?" Max asked, excitedly.
Strange nodded." That could work. The Infinity Stones are the greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in it's destructive capabilities."
It was not much of a plan, but it was a start.
Strange concentrated for a moment. Channeling astral energy through his hands, he conjured them into golden discs hovering at his hands- astral discs.

He concentrated on the opposite wall. Images started to flicker. Five images-of five glowing stones.
"The Power Stone is currently safe with Tivan," Strange said in a deep voice."but it's future is uncertain. Soon it will pass to a dark entity.
The Mind Stone is currently safe with the Garoglanthians. Wait. There's a conflict. It is..........AAAH!!"
With a scream, he collapsed on the ground. I and Tania leapt to our feet. With the help of his attendents, he slowly came around.
"I haven't used my powers for a long time. It drained me." He said, massaging his head." And there was a lot of dark energy hovering. I couldn't sustain for long."
"Did you see them?" Max asked.
"Yes." His face became dark." Nearly all of the Stones are now in the possession of the Master. He has already assembled his army, and is searching for the final Stone. We have lost."

WHAT???

"No. This isn't happening." I stood up." We've got to stop him. We must get back to the Novas, gather whoever's left,and call on our allies. We have to stop this war, once and for all."
Max looked at me." But Captain, the Novas are destroyed. How can we face the Master and his army alone?"

Tania smirked and crossed her legs." And that is why, boys,you need my help."

"Federation?"
" You're a part of the Federation?"
Tania looked incredulously at Max's and my astonished faces.
" You honestly didn't think I was born here or something, did you?"
I shuffled in embarrassment." No,uh.."
" Save it,buddy." She pushed me back." I too was escaping from my enemies like you. I got hit and crashed here, and the Doctor found me. For years I tried to communicate with the Federation, but they never responded. Long story short, they abandoned me."

" I'm sorry. I didn't know."
"I didn't expect you to." She said." Normally, I would never have gone back, but since the situation has changed....." she shrugged.

Three days had passed. Max and I had healed totally and were allowed to resume our daily activities. Glen was still unconscious,but we were assured that he was progressing better. As for us, me, Max and Tania were busy stocking a ship with necessary supplies and weapons for our journey.

"I never thanked you for saving me that day." I heard Max tell her. I didn't catch what she said, but Max's face turned red with embarrassment as she smirked and walked back to the ship, leaving him shuffling uncomfortably.
" All set?" Dr. Strange came up. He and his men had helped us a lot over the last few days.
" Location of the Federation base is in the navigation system. You can either warp or fly there." He handed me a communicator." I'll keep you posted about your friend and any other information I can get my hands upon."
" We're indebted to you." I told him." You've helped us immensely over the past few days."
He shrugged it off." Thank me after you've defeated him."

Tania and Max had finished, and were now aboard, waiting for me.
As I climbed up the stairs, Strange called." Steve." I looked back.
" Be careful. Your future is uncertain and hazy. Destiny has dire plans for you."
I smiled,though shaken mentally. "And I have dire plans for destiny." I shook his hand.
He didn't appear convinced. Entering the ship, I took over the navigation panel and input the coordinates of our destination. I sat back on my seat.
" Everything ready?"
"Yes, Captain."
" Engines at full." Tania said.
" Forward thursters, now."

There was a slight bump as the ship took to the air. From here, I could see tiny figures of Strange and his men looking up at us. He waved.

We need luck. I thought.
Slowly, our ship left the atmosphere. Free of the planet's gravitational pull, I instructed Max to warp us to our destination.

"Here we go." was my last thought as the ship warped off into the dark space, with an uncertain future.

At last! At last! I could finish this chapter. My last update was what.....a week ago? I was so busy studying for the exams that I couldn't concentrate much on the story. Sorry I kept you waiting.
So what do you make of this chapter? It tells us about the Battle of Earth,the Avengers and more. And now Steve and his group are ready to fight, and are on their way to get help. Will they? Let's see.
