Meet the Team

Danny was looking around in awe at the endless stars and lights of space while Zane just calmly drives the ship towards their destination. Danny has never seen the world outside of Avalion, so all of this is pretty exciting and scary to the new recruit. He never knew there were so many more stars in the sky, and getting to see some of the other planets at a closer view was a nice touch also.

Zane looks up from where he was sitting and smiles as he sees their destination in view, while Danny walked up next to where the commander was to see what exactly he was looking at. He then looks up also, gasping in amazement, and was motionless due to the awesomeness of the structure.

The big ship that they were looking at was far longer and bigger than the one they are currently in. It had a strong rectangular hull with a row of windows stretched across the front and the sides. If you looked closely, there were lines that made up squares on the sides of the ship, quite possibly where the cannons are. At the back of the ship, there were four wings that were positioned on each corner along with a whole 3 by 4 row of thrusters to make the ship move.

"That's ours" Zane informed the still amazed Danny as he drove up to the side of the big ship, which then opened up to where their ship entered inside onto the hangar and the door that opened for them closed after the commander landed the ship onto it's spot. The hatch opened up again as the only two passengers walked off of the ship and onto the floor of the hangar, which was spacious considering that the ship they arrived in was the only one.

"This is the hangar" Zane tells Danny as he stretched his arms out to mention the hangar as Danny looked around in interest. "It seems pretty spacious for the one ship" Danny commented on the space of the hangar. Zane nodded in agreement, "Yes, but that's usually for when other people enter the ship with their own spacecraft" the commander answers to Danny's insight. The two then walked up the stairs and through an automatic doorway that showed halls going into different directions, leaving Danny wondering where they lead.

The commander guided the recruit forwards and into a big room full of screens, controls, and the big window view. "This is the control center. Basically where we work" Zane educated Danny about the room, "We get our missions here along with controlling the ship." Danny kept admiring the many lights and screens of the room before they both heard the door behind them open. "Must be another member of the Galactic Squad!" Danny thought as they both turned around.

There was a robot standing in front of them as the door closed behind it. The robot was shaped to be like a human, but you can tell that it was a robot due to it's yellow eyes with no pupils and it's wrists were just two gears that connected the hands to the arms. It's body also had a pale look to it and just about Danny's height.

"Whose this person?" The robot asks Zane as it looked at Danny blankly. Zane then wraps one arm around Danny while smiling at the robot, "This is the new recruit, Danny" the commander informed the robot, "Danny, this is our technician: Super-ego." The robot nods as it walked up to Danny and stared into him with its eyes for a second before speaking, "As long as he isn't reckless like Jakk, then I'll allow it."

The robot then walks off in the opposite direction as it left the room to wherever else it may go. Zane looks back at Danny as he wondered why it didn't like Jakk.
The commander noticed his confusion and answers before he could ask, "Jakk came from the Storms, so he's pretty reckless at times."

Danny nodded in understanding, but he wondered now who exactly were the Storms? Danny knew every famous event and people in Avalion from first to recent, so who were they?

Danny just kept that question to himself for now as Zane and him left the control center and down another hall. The hall they were walking down in had smaller doors than the few that they went through. Zane walked him to the first door and opened it to show a room with rewards and newspaper articles on the walls and four big portraits of different groups on them while they entered. "This is obviously my room, although it isn't much" Zane explained as a closet door was opening next to him, in which he closes it without looking. "It's just rewards and achievements for the Squad's work, that's all," Zane added as he looked up at the portraits and got Danny to look at them also, "And these portraits here are the previous members of the Galactic Squad." Danny gets a closer look at the portraits and noticed Super-ego was in all of them. "Ego's been here for a long time then?" Danny asks Zane, in which he nodded. "No one can get the ship repaired faster than him," Zane informed Danny.

After a while, they left the commander's room and walked directly to the door in front of the room to see another room, where another man with long white hair and a strong body was there with his legs crossed and candles next to him as the room seemed to be less decorated than the commander's. At the front of the room, there was a large sword there with a crimson handle and a sharp triangular blade on one side and a rectangular blade on the other side. Each blade was connected to a circular hilt which also connected to the handle.

"That's Xavier, the warrior of the team" Zane introduced the strong man there who was meditating. "Warrior? As in soldier?" Danny wondered to Zane as the commander shook his head in response. "Xavier doesn't use any guns at all. All he needs is his sword" Zane pointed to the sword at the wall to bring attention to it. Danny looked at the sword and then back at the meditating Xavier. "Should we talk to him?" Danny asks the commander, wondering about him. "He's meditating," Zane tells the recruit, "We only talk to him when he's like this only for crisis, such as surprise attacks."

The two close the door to let Xavier meditate in peace as they walk down some more as they encounter another set of rooms that weren't far from the other two. As they walked to the door on the left, they heard the sound of drums being played on the other side. The door opens to reveal a messy room with a drum set in the middle as another person was there with his black hair with blue strands in it was playing them.

"I'm sure you met Jakk before!" Zane said to Danny, slightly louder over the drums being played. Danny didn't recognize Jakk before, but then he saw the grenade launcher next to him, now realizing who he was now. Zane tried to get Jakk's attention for a couple of seconds, but to no avail. Eventually Zane just shrugged and closed the door as they open the other door next.

The next room that they looked at was almost just as messy as Jakk's, however this room had posters on the wall and also had a large T.V with two bean bag chairs on the ground. Sitting upside down on one of them was a girl with short red hair with a controller in her hands playing a game on the T.V.

"That's Sinx, our scout" Zane introduced Danny to her. The recruit looked around the room and then at the game that she was playing. Just like last time, Zane called her name multiple to get her attention, but her mind was just focused on the game. For a few seconds it continued on, which ended in the same way. Zane closed the door again to head onwards, but once he closed the door, Sinx moved her head up and looked at the door, thinking she heard something, before shrugging afterwards and resuming her game.

The two turn around a corner to enter the next hall, only for Danny to bump into someone else and hear something hitting the floor in front of him. Danny backs up a little to see another girl with long blonde hair and in white clothing. They both looked at the ground in front of them and saw books there. Danny knew he didn't bring any along with him, so he presumed that it was the girl who dropped them. They both bend down and started picking up the books, "I'm sorry" the girl tells Danny as he smiles and shakes his head. "No, I'm sorry for bumping into you" Danny replied to the apology once all of the books were picked up. The girl smiles in return, "Thank you" she tells him before walking off again to wherever she was going. Danny watches her go as he wondered who she was.

"That's Rosette, the team's medic" Zane tells Danny as he puts his hands on his hips, "I would say something here, but then it wouldn't be so subtle." Danny looks back at Zane with a confused look, "What do you mean?" He asks the commander. Zane shook his head in response, "Oh, it's nothing" Zane replied as he continues walking and opens up an empty room and waved it for Danny, "This will be your room" Zane informed the recruit. Danny took some time to look at the room before closing the door and looks back Zane, wondering what to do now.

"Here. Follow me" Zane asks as they both went back into the control room and sat on chairs close to the consoles. Zane kicks his feet onto the edge of the controls as Danny watched. They both were looking out the window and into the many stars and endless space.

"You know," Zane said, "I think you'll like it here." Danny looks at Zane and nods, "Me too" he replied before looking back out the window.

For a few seconds of silence, Danny then suddenly got a thought. "Hold on," He said, getting Zane's attention, "The Commander Back there got punched in the face by that robot." Zane nodded in understanding, "Yeah? What about it?" He wondered. "Well why did he need a crutch then?" Danny asks the question on his mind. Zane was surprised by the question as he began to think about it.

After a minute, Zane's eyes widen and sat back up. "Hey wait a minute!" He said in realization.
