Hello, Beautiful People!

Before we officially start our gatherings, the ChickLit Team has a new project to present to you: HerStory.

This project is unrelated to the Gal Pals Gatherings, and were you (Beautiful People) to adopt it, it would be hosted in a dedicated feature.

What is HerStory?

HerStory is a place of sharing, supporting one another and growing together, through real stories from each one of us. In HerStory, you get to read about other Wattpad women's real life stories, and you get to share yours, if you want to. These stories are about life in general, but with an accent on womanhood and our contemporary struggles, to inspire and get inspired, encourage and be encouraged, support and be supported.

What should you expect?

Each month (or week, depending on the amount of entries we receive), we will post in the dedicated feature a story shared by a member of the community. These stories can be:
- Testimonies of something that happened to them, to raise awareness, share advice, cheer others, or even simply share the happiness of the moment;
- situations they're dealing with or dealt with, to seek for advice, support, or just vent out their frustration;
- touching scenes they witnessed and want to share with us;
- popular and inspiring tales from their culture they want to share with us.

What we are looking for

We are not asking for professional writing. This is not about sharing novels you get to publish on Wattpad (although you're free to publish YOUR stories on Wattpad). Instead, this is about sharing as you feel it. Entries are not links to stories written on the platform, but just a text typed in the submission form.

We do not ask you to send an awesomely written text. In fact, writing skills won't be taken into consideration. We just ask you to avoid grammatical errors as much as you can. So whether you are a writer or not does not matter. What matters is that you have a story you want to share with us.

We require the stories to be in English, but in case English is not your primary language, you are free to request for some editing from the ChickLit Team. To do so, just indicate it when filling the submission form.

There is no limit as to how many stories you can share, but we ask you to fill the form again for each story you want to share. Each story must not exceed 3500 characters (approximately 600 to 800 words), and be sent in one single submission. This project has no time window, so there is no deadline for submissions.

Important Notice

In order to protect the users' privacy, all submissions are anonymous. We do not ask for usernames or any contact information, we are only interested in your stories.

And whether you're just sharing your story or commenting on someone else's story, we ask you to keep in mint the Wattpad Content Guidelines and Code of Conduct. Note that we will not accept stories that violate Wattpad's guidelines, and any inappropriate comment will be removed.
