POV: Midnight 

I sat in bed, staring at the ceiling. "I require food." I murmured blankly, sitting up and sliding out of bed. I hummed a small tune as I walked the short distance from my room to the kitchen. My red dragon wings fluttered as I opened the fridge. I looked around and saw a box of blueberries. 'Suitable enough.' I thought, using my grubby little claws to grasp the plastic box. 

I closed the fridge with a wack of my tail, smiling with satisfaction. I turned and walked away, holding my prized possession, that being the blueberries. I glanced at the door, thinking for a moment. 'Do I go interact with people or hide without sunlight?' I thought to myself. I decided to go outside, I was in a friendly mood. 

After a short walk to the local park, I entered. I saw many people chatting, all laughing about the dumbest things. I smiled, going to sit on an unoccupied bench. I hummed, grabbing handfuls of blueberries and shoving them in my mouth. "Hey! Midnight!" I looked up to see Phantom (@enby_ofdoom), one of my friends, walking towards me. 

"Can I sit with you?" Ae asked. "Sure!" I replied. Phantom sat next to me, a smile on aer face. "Want some blueberries?" I asked, offering aer some. "Okay." Phantom said, taking them from my hand. "Dang." I murmured. Phantom looked confused. "What?" 

"I secretly hoped you didn't want any so I could eat more." I explained. "Then why'd you ask???" Ae asked. "Because I'm great like that." I answered in a snarky tone. Phantom laughed. 

I nomed more blueberries, shoving them in my mouth. "How do you not get sick eating that many?" Phantom asked. "I've done this my whole life." I replied, eating more blueberries. Phantom looked both amazed and concerned. 

Phantom grabbed some blueberries and snacked on them, dropping a few. "Oof." I murmured, trying to suppress a giggle. Phantom glared at me, but I could tell ae was also trying to suppress laughter. "Anyway, please tell me how much angst you plan to add to FC." Phantom said, their tone a pleading one. "I can't handle much." Ae added. 

I shivered when ae said 'FC'. 'F you, past me, making the initials that.' I thought angrily. "I will add a lot, but I'm also adding a bunch of fluff so you won't die." I responded. Phantom nodded. "Thanks." Phantom said kindly. 

I reached to grab more blueberries when I realized I was out. "Nooooooooo!" I exclaimed sadly. Phantom looked over then giggled. "You knew that was going to happen." Phantom said, flicking aer green wings. I growled. "Still." I murmured, kicking my feet. 

We sat in an awkward silence, neither knowing what to say. "Anyway, what was your life like before Wattpad?" Phantom asked, trying to start a conversation. I froze, fear striking me. "Oh, is that a touchy subject?' Phantom asked after a moment. I simply nodded. "Okay. I won't pry." Phantom said, smiling. I felt grateful. 

"Anyway I need to go inside, I've had too much sun for one day. I am 'midnight' after all." I said, standing up. "Okay, cya!" Phantom said, waving aer hand. I smiled, walking away. 

My tail thumped against the ground, as I walked to the end of the park. Just as I was about to leave- 

bonk.

I slammed against an invisible wall and I stumbled backwards. "YOU OKAY?" Phantom shouted from back at the bench. "PHYSICALLY YES MENTALLY NO" I yelled back. I kicked the invisible wall, knowing it would fix itself soon. 

I decided it would be funny looking if I leaned against the invisible wall. So thats what I did. I hummed, just bouncing my foot up and down. I started snapping, creating a steady beat. I glanced up to see Phantom still at the bench, watching me to see if I could eventually get out of this park.

"So you're sure you're not a magician?" It was Ari (@Demon-in-the-closet),  who was walking towards me. "Not really." I joked, a smile on my face. "But I'm kinda trapped in this park. Its a glitch, it'll sort itself ouT-" 

At that moment the invisible wall disappeared and I fell onto the concrete outside of the park. Ari and I burst out laughing. "There goes my back health." I joked, getting up. Ari smiled. "Anyway I gotta go. Cya!" I said, turning around and walking away. "Cya!" Ari said, waving their arm.
