Midnight faintly smiled as they sauntered along, struggling to hold their composure as they watched Blueberry gracefully prance ahead without a single care in the world.

They couldn't tell which was more prominent in the sapphire crewmate before them—obliviousness, or flat out ignorance.

Either way, they couldn't help but to chuckle to themselves in adoration as she performed a little spin, facing Midnight as she stopped and lowered her arms.

She then outstretched her gloved hand to them as she stepped closer, and they grasped it with little hesitation, allowing the smaller girl to gleefully drag them onward. Their mind was racing and they were trembling from her touch, but she didn't seem to notice.

How Blueberry could be so cheerful during such a crisis, Midnight would never know.

The only thing that pained them to know is that they couldn't ever reveal their secret to her.

Not until the very end, at least.

If they did, they knew that she wouldn't accept them.

She could never love an imposter, after all.
