You were originally studying the human psyche and became obsessed with the subject of fear.

Your obsession took you down a dark path and you began performing experiments on human subjects.

This helped you develop your own fear toxin which made anyone who fell under it's effects see their worst fear.

However, you were eventually found out and sentenced to prison, you did break out however and once you were on the outside you took up the mantle of Scarecrow to not only further your research but show this world true fear.

Armed with hooks, chains, scythes and various other blades you are a force to be reckoned with.

You also developed an immunity to your fear toxin so using it against you was useless.

To make matters worse your fear toxin seems to have become more supernatural than scientific.

You had been dabbling in Occult research as well and seemed to have payed off.

One day you were seemingly caught by the police only for you to break out your latest version of the fear toxin which would allow them to feel physical pain if whatever they were hurting them.

However, something seemed off about this Toxin, the mist went dark and seemed to solidify into a mass of black tendrils.

The tendrils snatched you up and transported you somewhere else.

You were now stuck in an endless game with other killers or monsters overseen by an Entity, the very Entity that snatched you up.

However, you refuse to be it's plaything, you'll go along with it for now, but even this thing isn't immune to fear.
