Plot:
Your name is (Y/N) Hale and you are the son of Saxton Hale himself.

Saxton Hale:

Your father can be described in one word.

"Manly."

Saxton Hale is the Manliest Man to ever Man.

This man doesn't cuddle with a teddy bear while he sleeps, he cuddles with an actual bear he tamed.

He is responsible for the extinction of many animals.

How?

Well he wrestles them.

He's basically the guy Gaston from Beauty and the Beast thinks he is.

Unfortunately, you are not like your father at all.

You aren't strong or very athletic and you haven't wrestled a single animal.

Not that you ever would even if you could.

You love animals and can't stand hurting them.

The only creature you wouldn't mind going extinct are Mosquitoes.

Fuck Mosquitoes.

However you are quite intelligent and good when it comes to running businesses.

Which will serve you well in the future.

You see Saxton Hale is the CEO and President of Mann Co and so that means you'll eventually inherit the company yourself.

However, Saxton as your father is still extremely worried about you.

He's worried you won't be able to defend yourself in case you need to get physical.

He needed a way to toughen you up, that way whenever he dies, most likely in an over-the-top way he can rest assured that you will be fine.

How would he toughen you up?

Why he'd simply drop you in the middle of Mexico between where the Gravel wars were taking place.

What are the Gravel wars?

It's a long and complicated story.

Just know that it involves a lifelong and very stupid quarrel between two past owners of Mann Co.

And as a result of this quarrel, 2 teams of mercenaries are now in an eternal war that will seemingly never end.

Saxton thought this would be a perfect environment to leave you in to get you to toughen up.

Life is the best teacher after all.

Plus this would also leave you under the watch of the Administrator Helen.

Helen the Administrator:

Saxton was sure she'd make sure you wouldn't die.

However, Helen was extremely displeased with Saxton's decision.

She didn't want any side to gain any kind of advantage in the Gravel wars, she wanted perfect Neutrality and you could potentially ruin that.

Unfortunately she couldn't refuse Saxton and begrudgingly let you become the battlefield Janitor.

You see in an eternal quarrel there will be death and in one like this, death will be messy.

You see these Mercenaries are all rather insane and kill each other in over-the-top ways.

Because of this the battlefield can get messy with body parts, blood and bones.

So they'll need someone to clean it up and unfortunately that would be your job now.

Don't worry, anyone who died in a battle gets better.

You didn't want to be part of this at all, the sight of death and gore always sickened you but...you didn't want to be a disappointment to your father.

You wanted to make him proud and so you put up with it.

You begrudgingly began cleaning the battlefield after every match, usually trying not to throw up as you did.

As you do this you end up getting involved in many adventures with the Red Team of Mercs and the Blue team.

You get stronger, find confidence and begin uncovering whatever the Administrator has planned.

You never trusted that woman from the start.

Also you bond with Mercs quite a bit and all of them are female by the way.

This eventually leads to them falling for you and you even begin trying to bring peace between them and end this pointless war.

Something the Administrator doesn't like and has tried assassinating you on many occasions.

Thankfully even Miss Pauling, the Administrator's lackey began developing feelings for you and so she does end up secretly saving you on occasion if she needs to.

You have truly become a problem for the Administrator and now things are about to get even more chaotic.
