Despite your skill as a monster Hunter, you're more of a researcher and Inventor at heart.

You absolutely adore studying new monsters and biological life and coming up with new gadgets.

Even if some inventions did end up blowing up in your face, sometimes resulting in injuries.

In fact a failed invention was the reason you now had a prosthetic arm which you needed to regularly maintain and as you got older keep removing and replacing since prosthetics don't grow with you.

In spite of that you never stopped inventing or studying new life keeping your usually bright and cheery demeanor.

Which contrasted your dark and menacing appearance.

Plus with a prosthetic you could add a lot of useful and cool gadgets onto it to help in the field such as a grappling hook, a crossbow, Elemental bombs and more.

You always got excited to study new creatures and that same excitement was evident when you were one of the Hunters chosen to go and assist research in the new world.

A continent that was just discovered no doubt crawling with interesting and new flora and fauna for you to research.

You packed up your equipment and brought your Felyne assistant Bartholomew with you.

Bartholomew was a loyal little guy who assisted you in your research, he admired your intelligence and hoped to make you proud as his assistant.

However, you noticed she was injured having a large gash on her back and so you decided to help her out.

Plus she could speak and so she was intelligent to know you meant no harm.

After you patched up her wound she thanked you and ran off.
