2B was an Android created to protect you on your space journey and Alita was an old friend of yours who got into an accident and got converted into a Cyborg.

In this story, we're in a fictional Earth future so just roll with it.

She began working for the government after that and so you both were separated for a while, but after you became an astronaut and she was chosen to help you on this journey you were reunited.

You weren't popular with women back on Earth, with Alita being the only girl who ever liked you.

I know these two aren't robots, their a Cyborg and Android respectively, but they'll be the only exception with the robot rule.
