Pokemon Anime x Male Reader:

Reader Info:

Your name is (Y/N) and you have lived your whole life in Pallet Town with your best friend Ash Ketchum.

Ash Ketchum (Young):

You'd always make sure he stayed out of trouble and kept an eye on him as per his mother Delia's request.

You and Ash were like siblings, you being the responsible one.

As you both grew older, you also developed a bit of a friendly rivalry.

Unlike Ash's rivalry with Gary which was less than friendly.

You and Ash both loved Pokemon very much and both dreamt of going on your own journeys one day.

You hoped to become a great Pokemon Master one day, even surpass your father who was a retired Elite 4 member.

You promised that you'd become a Trainer at the same time as him to set off on your journey at the same time.

You promised you'd grow and learn together and eventually meet each other in the Pokemon League.

You both hope to eventually face each other as true Pokemon Masters.

Years passed and you both grew up.

Ash Ketchum: (Present)

Unfortunately when the time came for you both to head off on your journeys you both ended up oversleeping.

This resulted in both you and Ash missing a chance to get your own Starters.

You both were crushed by this, fearing you'd both have to wait another year to begin your journeys.

Fortunately, Professor Oak had 2 Pokemon for you both to use as Starters.

Ash ended up with a Pikachu.

Pikachu:

And you ended up with an Eevee.

Eevee:

Ash's Pikachu was rather aggressive and disobedient and would constantly zap him.

Your Eevee on the other hand was shy and afraid of you.

According to Oak it was abused by it's previous Trainer and as a result had trust issues.

Hearing that made you angry.

It made you sick to think there were people out there who abused their Pokemon.

The reason didn't matter, it was disgusting and you vowed to eventually gain the trust of this shy and scarred Eevee.

You and Ash both went your seperate ways and promised to eventually meet up and have a battle.

After saying goodbye to your parents and getting some supplies of course.

Once nightfall came you set up camp and let Eevee out of it's Pokeball to have a talk with it.

The poor thing was shivering and would cover it's face every time you made eye contact.

Whatever it's past Trainer did, it was bad and you swore if you ever ran into them, not even the move protect would block the beating you'd give him.

You decided to go get some wood to make a fire and told Eevee you'd be back soon.

When you returned however, you found Eevee getting beaten by a swarm of Ratatta along with a lead Raticate.

You immediately dropped the wood you had gathered and smacked the lead Raticate away with your backpack and stood in front of Eevee protectively.

You yelled at the lead Raticate and the Ratatta to back off.

The Lead Raticate of course refused and ordered the Ratatta to attack you and Eevee.

They attacked you and you made sure they never touched Eevee, you took every single attack and all Eevee could do was watch as you protected it.

The Lead Raticate then gave your arm a devestating Super Fang which hurt badly enough for you to scream.

Hearing you scream triggered something in Eevee.

After the abuse it suffered you had been so kind, caring and understanding of it.

It would not allow you that Raticate to get away with hurting you.

Eevee, filled with strength and determination, jumped in and Skull Bashed the Raticate into a tree.

It then growled at the rest of the Ratatta, daring them to try and hurt you.

The Ratatta swarm with their leader down cowardly ran away.

That moment solidified yours and Eevee's friendship and you both became the best of partners from that moment forward.

And together you'd both reach the top.

Eeveelution:

I held a vote for you guys to decide which of the friendship Eeveelutions your Eevee will become in the future and Umbreon won by a wide margin.

Pokemon Team:
So like Ash you'll eventually travel beyond Kanto and have a lot of different teams in each reason.

But like Ash's Pikachu, Eevee and whatever Eeveelution it becomes will remain on your team no matter what.

Also since Gary had a Blastoise and Ash had a Charizard, you're getting a Venusaur during the Kanto part of the anime.

And for the Hoenn since May has Blaziken and Ash has Sceptile, you will be having a Swampert.

Pokemon Leagues:
So, eventually you do need to win a Pokemon League like Ash eventually did.

So which League should you win?

Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, obviously not Alola since Ash will be Alola's champion.

And not Kanto, Johto or Hoenn since those are very early.

Also, regardless if you win the Sinnoh League or not Ash won't be losing to Tobias there.

Instead he'd lose to you.

Cause fuck Tobias, that cheating Legendary-using  bastard doesn't exist here.

Yeah, I'm still salty cause that guy literally only existed to make sure Ash didn't win.

So for the Sinnoh League you'd beat Ash which would be better since you've been on a Journey just as long as him and grew just as much as he did.

So anyway vote on which League we should win.

Companions:
Should we get travel companions like Ash does?

We will obviously meet up with Ash and stick with him for a few a few episodes before going off on our own again.

So, should we get some companions like him.
