Willow's POV
So you all are probably wondering who I am. Well allow me to introduce myself, I am Willow. Just Willow. I'm an orphan werewolf, who is also a witch. I've entered my third year at Hogwarts. Anyway my mother was a witch, dad a muggle. Mum died giving birth to me and dad hated me. He only kept me for money he got from the government, which he never spent on me. Whenever I did something out of the ordinary, he'd beat me.
I finally had enough when I was eight and ran away from home. Except it was a full moon and I didn't know werewolves existed. And was attacked by one. I was taken to a muggle hospital by a good samaritan. Where they discovered the evidence of my years of abuse at the hand of my father. He was sent to jail and I was dumped into an orphanage.
But then was kicked out after my first transformation where I destroyed my room. I was passed around for orphanage to foster carer for the next two and half years. Until I got my Hogwarts letter. Things have been better since I came here. I take a potion that allows me to keep my mind every full moon. But I don't have many friends and none know about me being a werewolf. Professor Snape also sends me Wolfs bane potion over the holidays, at Dumbledore's request.
Who has been trying to find a wizard family to take me in. I actually spent most of the summer with two wizarding families. The Tonks and Weasleys. Both lovely families and I can tell the adults are sympathetic, but they don't understand how hard my life is. I wish there was a nice werewolf to take me in, who would understand my pain. Or a family who have raised a werewolf before. Dumbledore said he had three new people in mind and one of them is my new Defense teacher. Professor Lupin and the other is his father. Though they are getting on in years.
Anyway I just had my first defense lesson with Professor Lupin. Who I had suspicions about and were confirmed when his boggart was a full moon. Judging by the scars on his face, he'd been a werewolf for a long time. Maybe since he was my age if not younger. I hung around as the other students left.
"Willow?" Parvati says confused looking at me.
"I'll catch up, just want to ask Professor Lupin a question about the lesson" I tell her. She nods her head and left. I notice I am now alone with Professor Lupin.
"Can I help you Willow?" he asks me.
"I just wanted you to know, I understand your fear" I tell him as I grip my right for arm.
"My fear?" he asks innocently.
"The full moon, I understand it" I state. He looks at my grip on my arm.
"You're a..." he starts to say shocked and I nod my head.
"I was eight when it happened" I tell him.
"I was four, nearly five" he admits sadly.
"Then you truly understand how hard it is for me. Except you had two loving parents to help you" I mutter. "I had better get to my next class, but I hope we can talk" I tell him.
"Of course" he says and writes a note. "Give this to your professor and my door is open anytime you need someone to talk too" he tells me. I give him a grateful smile before leaving and hurrying to my next class.
(Time skip) Lupin's POV
After teaching my fourth year students. It just a revision of red caps that they should of learned about last year. I was originally going introduce them to erklings. But I couldn't stop thinking about Willow. Why hadn't Dumbledore told me there was a werewolf student? So that's where I am now at his office to talk to him about her.
I knocked and he said I could enter. To see my dad there. "Father, what are you doing here?" I ask him surprised. I hadn't seen him much since I completed school. Even less since mum's death. He invited me to move back in with him, but I refused not wanting to disturb his peaceful life.
"Albus has asked if I'd be willing to adopt Willow" he tells me.
"Why didn't you tell me about her?" I ask Dumbledore.
"I meant to, I've been trying to find a wizard to adopt her since she started at Hogwarts. She hasn't really felt at home with any choices I've suggested so far. Then I thought about you and your family. She has said she wished to be raised someone who'd understand her. She believes only another werewolf or someone who has raised a werewolf from childhood would understand" he explains. "I wished to offer you both a chance to adopt her" he adds.
"I'm not as young as I used to be Albus, I don't think I'd be able to keep up with a teenage girl" father tells him. "And I have no experience with raising a girl" he adds.
"I have no experience in raising a child" I state.
"I understand, but you both are the only people I'd trust with her upbringing outside of Hogwarts. Who meet what she wants in her future guardians" Dumbledore tells us. "You need not decide now, think about it. Get to know her Remus. An orphanage is no place for a witch or wizard. Especially one with her condition" he states. We nod our heads in agreement. He then left my father and I alone.
"Son, I know you've never wanted to settle down for risk of spreading your furry little problem as James called it. But this girl needs you" dad tells me.
"I can't give her a decent life" I tell him.
"She doesn't need the world handed to her Remus, she just wants a loving parent who will support her. And will understand her pain" he tells me. "According to Albus she was abused by her muggle father before she was bitten. She's started to come out of her shell since coming here. But still needs help to become the amazing witch I know she'll become under your care" he states. "Think about it" he adds placing a hand on my shoulder before leaving by the fireplace.
I sighed and went to my office. Where I started to mark the sixth year essays. While thinking about Willow. Could I really do it? Be the father she deserves? Also wondering what Willow is doing now.
