So I'm sure you've all hear of Sirius Black and his younger brother Regulus Black. But have you heard of their sister, Aquila Lyra Black? The younger sister of sister of Sirius and older sister of Regulus? No, well this is her story through the Marauders Era.

(Flashback September 1971) Aquila's POV

"What does is matter that he was in Gryffindor?!" I demand glaring at my parents as Regulus stands beside me. "He is our brother, your son and the sorting hat is never wrong" I state.

"It matters silly girl because the sorting hat takes you opinion into account when it decides" mum states. "If I had it my way, he'd be t of this house and family for bringing such dishonour to this family" she snaps.

"Walburga, calm. Aquila is young and does not know any better yet. But she will" dad tells her.

"But dad if what mum says is true. Then Sirius should of been sorted into Slytherin" Regulus states. "He is your heir, he may not act it and follow our family traditions. But he should of made the hat put him in Slytherin" he states.

"Oh my son, how I wish you were our heir" mum says hugging him.

"Well I don't!" I snap. "I love you Regulus, but things are different now. The world is changing, we shouldn't have to be in Slytherin just to make our parents happy. They should be proud of us no matter which house the hat chooses for us" I state. "If you disown Sirius, you'll have to disown me too" I tell my parents.

Mum slaps me and I fall to the ground. My cheek stinging badly as I fight back tears. "Go to your room and stay there" mum orders me. "No supper and don't come out until you are a proper lady of the Noble House of Black" she states. I ran to my room.

(Present 1975)

"Aquila!" my cousin Andromeda calls. Pulling me from my memories. I look up from my old scrapbook. Where I had been looking at a photo of Sirius, Regulus and I before Sirius' left for his first year.

"Yes cousin?" I ask as she holds her three year old daughter.

"Ted is waiting for you, if you don't go now. You'll be late" she tells me.

"Right, fourth year of school" I say and whistle. Corona appears and lands in her cage. I shut her in. I grab my trunk and follow Andromeda downstairs.

You all are probably wonder why I am with my cousin and her family. Well it all started during my brother Sirius' first year. After he was sorted into Gryffindor. I longed to be free of my family and wrote to Sirius often. He meet our 17 year old cousin and discovered her secret. She was in love with a hufflepuff muggle-born wizard in her year. He kept her secret she had him tell me if I ever needed a place to call home, her door was always open. So I started writing to her and even Ted.

When I started at Hogwarts. I became an even bigger disgrace then Sirius. I was placed into hufflepuff and was disowned. Any belongings I hadn't brought were thrown out and I was blasted from the family tree. I even got a howler, I was so humiliated. But my house mates and Sirius along with his friends helped me get over it. Since I couldn't go home I went to live with Andromeda and Ted. Who had married after their first year and had had a daughter. Nymphadora Tonks, a metamorphmagus.

Anyway I'm still living with them even now. I baby sit my baby cousin Tonks. She hated her first name. Only time she doesn't cry or throw a tantrum is if we call her Tonks or her dad calls her Dora. Andromeda would tell me about the two sisters she had lost when she was disowned. She always said she envied Sirius and my relationship. I vowed one day to reunite her with her younger sister Narcissa. Ted taught me about the muggle world and muggle artifacts. Honestly muggle studies has is so wrong with somethings.

"Ready?" Ted asks holding his car keys.

"Yes" I tell him. I hugged Andromeda goodbye and kissed Tonks head. Before Ted took me to the station. Where I meet up with Sirius and his friends. I joined them in their compartment.

"How's Tonks?" Sirius asks me.

"Growing quickly" I tell him with a smile.

"What colour is she today?" James asks.

"Purple" I state.

"Purple?" Peter asks confused.

"Who is Tonks?" Remus asks curious.

"Mine and Sirius' little cousin. She's a metamorphmagus" I tell them.

"A meta what?" Peter asks confused.

"Someone who can change their appearance at will" Sirius tells him.

"How's the potion?" James asks me.

"I have all the ingredients needed, this year we'll become Animagi" I state smiling.

"You guys don't have too" Remus tells us for the hundredth time.

"Nothing you say will change our mind Moony" Sirius tells him.

"So shut up and help Peter with the spell" James adds. Sirius sighs in defeat. Before leaving to go attend to his prefect duties. I hand out mandrake leaves. We place them in our mouths using a sticking charm. Which we'd remove in a month. Just then Dirk appears.

"There you are, the guys are waiting" he tells me.

"I'm coming" I tell him. Dirk is one of my closest friends. He is in my house and year. A muggle-born wizard obsessed with Goblins. My other friends are Adrian Smith an Irish half-blood who is always taking photos with his camera. Hannah Stebbins, she longs to be an auror like her grandfather. Lastly my best friend Barbra Hemlock, a muggle-born witch who is gifted in potions and protective charms.

We arrived and I greeted all my friends warmly. Though notice something different about Debra. "What?" she asks me.

"You've meet a boy" I say teasingly and she blushes. "By the way congrats on becoming head girl" I tell her.

"Thanks and yes, his name is Henry Haywood. A muggle" she states. "We've known each other a few years and fell in love. He asked me out" she explains.

"Good for you" Hannah states.

"Enough boy talk, who's head boy?" Dirk asks Barbra.

"Malcolm McGonagall of Gryffindor, rumor has it he quit quidditch this year to focus on his NEWTs" she states. The rest of the train ride was uneventful. I can't wait to see what this year brings for us.
