Yuki Chang is the adopted daughter of the Chang family. She has an older brother called Ichiru. Both are in Ravenclaw. Yuki is friends with three girls, one from each of the other three houses. Anneth Cunning of Gryffindor, Zoey Bones of Hufflpuff and lastly Elise Malfoy of Slytherin. Who was disowned for befriending a muggle born and gryffindor. She now lives with Anneth and her family. They re all in the same year as the Marauders.

Anyway, Yuki is a Maledictus. A maledictus iss a female individual who carried a blood curse that eventually turned her into a type of beast permanently. The curse was carried from birth and passed down from mother to daughter. Yuki promised her mother before she left, that she'd never have children and risk passing on their blood curse. She was adopted by her mother's best friend Mei Chang, who has a husband and son.

Yuki's beast form is a maned wolf. Only her family, 3 friends and Dumbledore know of her curse. But what happens when she catches the eye of Remus Lupin? A werewolf and a member of the Marauders. Lets find out together.

Yuki's POV

It's time for my fifth year at Hogwarts. I am waiting for my friends while Ichiru went to see his. I am reading my new potions book. I love potions, it's my favourite and best subject. I'll miss making potions once my curse activates. Which won't hopefully be for another ten years. But who knows.

"Sorry, didn't know someone was here" a guy says. I look up to see a boy my age covered in scars. Werewolf I think.

"It's fine" I assure him.

"I'm Remus, Remus Lupin" he tells me.

"Yuki Chang" I tell him.

"May I?" he asks gesturing to the seats and I nod my head. "I've never seen you before, are you new to Hogwarts?" he asks me curious.

"Nope, this is my fifth year. I tend to keep to my group of friends and my house" I tell him.

"Same here" he tells me.

"Understandable given your situation" I state.

"You know?" he asks shocked.

"Ravenclaw" I tell him as my brother appears. "Ichiru" I say with a smile.

"Come Yuki, your friends are waiting for you" he tells me. I nod and he grabs my luggage.

"See you around Remus, enjoy school" I tell Remus. Before leaving with Ichiru.

"What has my father told you about talking to boys?" Ichiru asks me and I sigh.

"Not to, without you present" I state.

"Exactly" he states. "You know we only want to protect you" he tells me.

"I know, but he's cursed too" I state.

"Yes, but his curse is different to yours Yuki. It'd be best if you stayed away from him and his prankster friends"he tells me. "Do you understand?" he asks me.

"Yes brother" I say as we reached the compartment with my friends inside. He smiles and kisses my forehead.

"Take care little sister" he tells me before leaving. I enter the compartment. Zoey helps me put my trunk in the luggage rank. We all sit down.

"So how was your summers?" I ask them.

"My family and I went to Ireland, it was fun" Zoey states.

"Mine tried to arrange a marriage, but I reminded them they disowned me and have no say in who I marry in future" Elise states.

"We then went to the Quidditch world cup" Anneth adds.

"Wish I could of gone, Ichiru and I love Quidditch. But his mum says it's to dangerous" I mutter.

"Honestly, you'd think you'd be turning any day the way she worries" Anneth states.

"Doesn't help that the curse seems to trigger sooner with each new generation" I state. "Anyway lets not worry about it, it's our OWL year. We should focus on our classes" I tell them. They agree and we all relax the rest of the train ride.

(Marauders compartment) Remus' POV

"What's up Remus?" James asks.

"You've been quiet since we joined you" Sirius adds.

"A ravenclaw knows my secret" I tell them.

"Really?" they ask surprised.

"Is he a werewolf too?" Peter squeaks.

"It's a she and I don't believe so" I tell them. "Though something seems off about her" I add.

"Off how?" Sirius asks.

"Like she understands how I feel" I state.

"But how can she if she isn't a werewolf?" James asks.

"I don't know" I tell them.

"Looks like we have a mystery to solve, but first we have to become animagi" Sirius states.

"Don't forget exams" Peter squeaks.

"Those are months away" Sirius says waving his hand.

"Plenty of time to focus on quidditch, pranking, becoming animagi and solving the mystery of this ravenclaw girl" James states. "What's her name?" he asks me.

"Yuki Chang" I tell them.

"Chang? As in the captain of the ravenclaw Quidditch team Ichiru Chang?" James asks.

"Her older brother" I state.

"I've seen her around, keeps to herself. Very smart, good at potions" Sirius states.

"Maybe she can make our potion for us" James muses.

"Lets befriend her first, before we ask her that" I tell them. They agree. The rest of the train ride was uneventful.
