Yue is a maledictus. A Maledictus is a female individual who carried a blood curse that eventually turned her into a type of beast permanently. The curse was carried from birth and passed down from mother to daughter. Yue's beast is a cheetah. She has very little control when her beast goes into flight or fight mode. But otherwise, is pretty chilled most of the time in beast & human form. She is entering her fifth year along with Percy Weasley, Penelope Clearwater and others in her year. She is also the female gryffindor prefect.

Yue's POV

I look out the window bored as the head boy and girl tells us prefects what to do. Soon the meeting is over and I leave with Percy. "Did you even listen to them?" he asks me.

"Of course I did, hope you can handle the first years alone while I go on patrol" I tell him.

"They're first years, I'm sure I can handle it" he states.

"Remember the password" I tell him.

"Of course I do" he says annoyed.

"Great, see you around" I tell him and left him. I do my rounds. Before going to my usual compartment. To see a busy haired girl first year and a boy her age.

"Hello, I'm Hermione Granger" the girl tells me.

"Yue, gryffindor fifth year prefect" I state.

"Neville Longbottom" the boy states.

"Mind if I join you both?" I ask and they shake their heads. I look out the window at the passing scenery. Hermione goes back to reading her book. When Neville checks his pockets and becomes frantic. "Something wrong?" I ask him.

"I can't find Trevor" he states.

"Trevor is?" I ask raising my eyebrow.

"My toad, he was a gift from my gran" he states.

"We'll help you look for him" Hermione tells him.

"He should be on the train" I state. "You guys go right and I'll go left" I tell them. They nod their heads and we go our separate ways. I had no luck finding his toad. But everyone assured me if they found one, they'd bring it to my compartment. Hermione and Neville had no luck either.

But I found out after the sorting. That Hagrid the game keeper had found the toad and returned it to Neville. Both Hermione and Neville were sorted into gryffindor. Along with Percy's youngest brother Ron and the famous Harry Potter. Something tells me, this is not going to be a normal year with Harry Potter here.

"Miss Cheetor, can you please come to the head master's office after your rounds?" Professor McGonagall asks after the feast.

"Of course professor" I tell her. I then go on my rounds. Which was pretty boring. Aside from a couple of gryffindor second years who didn't have the password. Which I gave them before continuing on my patrol.

"Any thing happen?" Percy asks as we meet on the seventh floor to swap rounds.

"Not really, a couple of gryffindor second years who didn't have the new password. But otherwise nothing" I tell him. He nods his head. "Anyway I'm needed by our head of house, see you in class tomorrow" I state. He nods his head and I left him.

I arrive at the headmaster's office entrance, where McGonagall is waiting. "Blood pops" she says and the stair case is revealed. I followed her up them.

"Good evening Yue, how are you feeling?" Dumbledore asks me.

"As well as one can expect, still able to attend school" I tell him.

"I am glad, you are a very gifted student. It will be a shame when our world loses you" he states.

"Nothing I can do about it" I tell him with a shrug.

"Have the transformations become more frequent?" McGonagall asks.

"Not since the end of last year" I state.

"Any idea what you will do once you have turned?" he asks me.

"Not really, maybe go to Africa and live there. Or something" I state.

"You could have a home here, we'd set you up a den. You could run in the forest" Dumbledore tells me.

"I'll think about it" I tell him. "Thank you for your offer and allowing me to attend school" I state.

"We welcome everyone here at Hogwarts" he tells me. "You know what I say" he adds.

"Help will always be given at Hogwarts to those who ask for it" I state with a smile. "I'll remember that always" I assure him. "Anyway I have class tomorrow, see you class Professor McGonagall. Good night professors" I say bowing my head in respect.

I left and return to the common room. "Caput Draconis" I say and the fat lady lets me in. I see Hermione by the fire reading her charms book and smile. "You should be in bed" I tell her, startling her. "Didn't mean to scare you" I state.

"Startled" she states.

"Well off to bed, you have classes tomorrow" I tell her.

"Can you walk me to the great hall and give me a tour?" she asks me.

"Sure, see you in the morning at seven" I tell her. She smiles and heads up to her dorm. I hear a hoot and turn to an eagle. I smile. "Hey mum" I say giving her a pat. She may of turned into an owl, but she's always watching over me. We'd race whenever I turn, its' fun. Everyone believes she is my eagle and I do have her send letters. But otherwise she spends most of her time flying free. I wish I could fly like her, but I love being a cheetah and running at top speed.

I tell her about my train ride and Hermione. She then left and I went up to my dorm. Where my dorm mates are already asleep. I got changed and brushed my teeth. Before calling it a night. I dream of the life I'll never have. A life where I'm married with children of my own. Grandchildren. But somethings are not meant to be and will only ever be dreams.
