Atomic Involvements

When I think of the energy, the heat emanating from you – the atomic, anatomical and molecular involvement actually needed for that warmth, to share that energy, that whole process – it quite takes me aback. 

Even writing it down as you do, expressing, defining  it - giving me a literal, corporal and corporeal description of your affection - is an intricate and very intimate thing.

And when I think of all the atoms and molecules we constantly exchange and of all the ones swirliing around in me that are actually you – I do not wonder at the loss I feel, perhaps you feel it too ... as we say goodbye, for now ... and I softly replace the handset.
