After Greg's match with Aya Suzuki the final match of round one had ended with a two to zero victory though we were having a discussion elsewhere so we couldn't see the what the team that won used in the match. It was now the second round and it was called to begin soon after a break.

Levi and his companions were gathered in their space as Kreg sighed in boredom and decided to speak up.

"That guy is never here! Why doesn't he show up when its his plan! Sometimes I wonder if he can actually give us what we want" Kreg complained

"Bite your tongue Kreg! Don't you dare question Master Levi's master!" a female voice shouted

"I told you before Kreg, our master is doing an important mission" Levi explained

"Being the idiot he is of course he would make the mistake of questioning the master" another female voice proclaimed annoyed

"SHUT UP! Gah whatever he better deliver" Kreg said annoyed

~Back to tournament, Timeskip~

The first match of the second round was close to ending with Demon Justice, Levi's team against Miraculous Venice and although they held the lead...

"Gwen finish the fool off" Levi said

"Of course Levi, darkness punch!"

"Game Over, Winner Levi Garcia"

"What an upset! One of the favourites to win Team Miraculous Venice has lost to the team Demon Justice!" The organiser announced

After the fight Levi smirked as he returned to the dugout and I was angry seeing him walk away but Charlotte placed a hand on my shoulder snapping me out of my train of thought.

"Don't let him get to you Masayo" Charlotte said

"Thanks I needed that" Masayo said taking a deep breath and letting out his anger

"W-well the show must go on so to continue things its America's Razor Storm and Japan's Honorus Magus Draconum and I'm sure it will be one to remember!" The organiser said

The crowd cheered as he made the introduction and everyone was pumped up to see the fight.

~HMD Dugout~

Ishin, Yudai, Jessie and Tsukomo were busy deciding who would go first for the fight since it was gonna be a tough battle ahead but what happened not long after their discussion surprised them...

"Tsukomo you want to fight first?" Jessie asked looking to Tsukomo after he said he wanted to fight first

Tsukomo gave a nod as a response and Yudai looked to him.

"Are you sure you wanna fight right now though? Last time you fought you ended up passing out for a second" Yudai asked

"Yeah I know. But I gotta fight, I know I can make up for my loss before" Tsukomo answered determined

Yudai and Jessie looked to Ishin to hear what he had to say and Ishin shrugs looking to all three of them.

"We might as well let him fight first if he wishes to. I'll sit out the round while you three handle the fights" Ishin commented sitting on the bench in the dugout

"Thanks Ishin I won't let you guys down" Tsukomo said determined as he dashed out onto the field

"Hopefully he'll be alright.." Jessie commented

"All we can do is make sure if it happens again we can help him" Yudai said

As Ishin watched Tsukomo leave the dugout he had a feeling something was up but he decided to contemplate on it later as the fight was about to start.

"First up for Honorus Magus Draconum! He had a hard time in the first round and is aiming for redemption. Its Tsukomo Yasagatsu!" The announcer stated the crowd cheering loud

Tsukomo arrived to the podium as he was ready to start the fight with a smile.

"Then for Razor Storm! With a deck of iron and a will of steel, he doesn't show any mercy in battle! Come on out Darren Hikari!" The organiser announced with the crowd cheering once again

Darren had walked out onto the field with a stoic expression looking towards Tsukomo who was smiling.

"Lets have a fun fight Darren" Tsukomo said with a smile that didn't fade

Darren seemed to stay silent until he said something in a volume that only the two on the field could hear.

"A fake smile to hide intention huh?" Darren said with little change in his expression

Whatever Darren had said to Tsukomo his expression seemed to change for a second before it was back to its usual expression making me confused.

"Lets Luminize fighters!" The organiser announced interrupting my train of thought causing Darren and Tsukomo to bring out their core deck cases

"King of Magic and Master of Spells! Luminize! Magic the King!"

Tsukomo's usual turquoise core deck case with magenta trimmings transformed into its usual armband.

"With a body of steel and a blazing weapon! We head towards Hades with our steel will! Luminize! Raging Titanium!"

Darren's orange core deck case with brown lining transformed into an orange battle axe.

"Fighters ready! Buddy...." The organiser started

"FIGHT!" The crowd cheered as the fighters began

"Raise the flag!" Both fighters announced

"Magic World!" Tsukomo announced

"Danger World!" Darren announced stoically

"I'll start with a charge and draw"

"I pay 1 gauge and equip, Explosive Axe, Ricdeau Demon Slay"

A steel battle axe with red lining between the blades formed from a light into my hands as I slashed the air ahead with it.

"I set Dangerous REIZI"

A purple orb appeared beside me that had the writing for Dangerous REIZI appeared beside my flag.

"That set spell will be trouble for Tsukomo.." Ishin commented

"Yeah he'll build up his weapons soul faster with that card" Yudai agreed

"Explosive Axe, Ricdeau Demon Slay!"

"I pay 1 gauge and cast Chillax"

"I use Dangerous REIZI's effect to place the top of the deck into the soul of Ricdeau Demon Slay"

As Darren added the card to his soul it was surrounded in an aura in the shape of Armorknight Eagle "A" before disappearing.

"When Darren used REIZI's effect..." Greg started

"We noticed, since Darren now has Armorknight Eagle "A" in his weapons soul Tsukomo can't return it to his hand or destroy it" Charlotte finished knowing what Greg was thinking

"Thats the thing about the Ace series, they work to boost the weapon while in soul so it won't be easy for Tsukomo if he can't handle the damage they can deal" Tai commented

"I cast Key of Solomon, First Volume to gain 2 gauge, next I call Magical Secretary, Genjuro Saki to the right. I cast Nice One! for no gauge thanks to Genjuro Saki"

"What your doing won't help you" Darren suddenly said with his stoic expression remaining

"It will. Genjuro attack the fighter!"

"At once, mystic break!"

"I cast Bold Retaliation"

As Darren's life dropped to 8 a light formed at his gauge as it split into 2 more cards.

"Wow! What a move by Darren with that his gauge is moved up to its original 3!" The organiser commented

"End of Move"

"I draw, charge and draw"

"Paying 1 gauge and life, cast Burst Deity Calling Ritual, I draw 1 and with a weapon I draw again"

"He just dropped his life for a 2 card draw" Greg said

"Because he plans to build up his weapons soul again later on" Masayo said

"I call Armorknight Battleborg to the left. Now attack the fighter"

"Armor battle fire!"

"Now Ricdeau Demon Slay!"

"I cast Chillax!"

"Thanks to Genjuro that Chillax didn't cost Tsukomo any gauge" Jessie said

"But he can't keep the defence up forever" Yudai stated

"And once he runs out of defences" Ishin said

"You won't last much longer" Darren said one eye closed

Tsukomo seemed unfazed by his statements as he kept a calm expression.

"I pay 1 gauge to use REIZI again"

Like before as the card from the deck went into Ricdeau Demon Slay's soul an aura surrounded it as the form of Armorknight Griffin "A" appeared then disappearing.

"End of Move"

'With his set up at the moment I need to be careful about what Darren does with that Ricdeau Demon Slay' Tsukomo thought looking to his hand

"I pay 1 gauge and cast No Pain, No Gain! I draw 2 and discard 1, since I discarded Battle Wizard, The Ace I pay 1 life to draw a new card"

"That combo helps Tsukomo to keep a decent hand to defend against the assault" Greg said leaning over the stands

"If he gets the cards that can let him" Charlotte said as she pulled Greg away from the edge of the stands

"I cast Key of Solomon, Second Volume I draw 1 and gain 1 life. I call Black Demon Swordsman, Jace Aldis to the center and pay 2 gauge to equip Gunrod, Stradivarius!"

A black rod that had a gun barrel appeared in my hands.

"I use its effect to rest it, deal you 1 damage and give Genjuro 3000 power"

I pointed the gun barrel at Darren as I fired making a black dot with red lining in his body but he wasn't fazed as his life dropped from 7 to 6.

"Jace attack the fighter"

"Fatal Ripper!"

"Genjuro Saki attack the fighter"

"Mystic Break!"

"I cast Shredding Battle Wall! With a weapon equipped I nullify the attack and gain 1 life"

"I cast Infinite Demon Slash Slash. Paying 2 gauge I destroy all size 2 or less monsters on your field"

I jumped in the air towards Tsukomo's monsters as I slashed them both a once turning them to orange squares.

"I buddy call to the left Armorknight Archangel placing Battleborg into his soul"

"Let the battle begin!"

"Archangel take the fighter down a peg"

"Of course! Death Barrage!"

"I cast Magical Goodbye"

"You got me this time!"

"He comes back with soul guard"

"But that was only round 1! Double Attack!"

"I cast Magical Goodbye"

"Again!"

Unlike before Archangel returned to my hand but I continued as I jumped into the air.

"I attack. Ricdeau Demon Slay!"

"Gah..."

"I pay 1 gauge to use REIZI's effect"

A third time as the card went into Ricdeau Demon Slay's soul an aura surrounded it as it formed Cerberus "A" then disappearing.

"Things got worst for Tsukomo" Ishin stated

"With Cerberus Ace in soul he can get Ricdeau Demon Slay to a high critical" Yudai added

"The deciding point could be right here" Jessie said

"I call to center! Flame Master, Ganzack "Dva" to center!"

"My flames are ready to serve"

"Alright with that card he could make a turn around"

"I cast Key of Solomon, Second Volume I gain 1 life and draw, I also cast First Volume to gain 2 gauge, then I pay 5 gauge and since Ganzack is in my drop zone I deal 3 damage"

"Feel the magic flames burn for the sake of my masters victory, Burning Wave"

Darren's life dropped from 7 to 4 in a flash but once again he wasn't fazed as a card in his hand that he raised glowed.

"I cast Bold Retaliation"

In an instant Darren's gauge increased to three.

"Darn he ended up getting a benefit from it!" Greg said

"But he could still pull through this" Masayo stated

"I use Stradivarius to deal 1 damage and give Dva power"

I fired another magic bullet at Darren but he was not affected by it as his life became 3.

"Now Ganzack attack the fighter"

"Mystic Fire!"

"You think it would be that easy? I cast Shredding Battle Wall"

"No!" Greg said

"Tsukomo couldn't break through" Tai said

"End of Move"

"You failed to beat me last turn...so now I'll beat you" Darren said a wild glint in his eye

The crowd felt a slight shiver seeing the wild glint in his eye feeling as though something will happen.

"Draw, charge and draw"

"I call Armorknight Kaari to the right. Using its ability I place a Ace monster in my hand to the soul of Ricdeau Demon Slay"

For a fourth time the aura surrounded Ricdeau Demon Slay as the form of Armorknight Demon "A" appeared and disappeared just as quickly and seeing the card Ishin sighed.

"Yudai get ready" Ishin said seeing the result in front of him

Yudai looked to Ishin but didn't deny what he was saying as he nodded looking back to the fight.

"I activate Roaring Charge"

"This is Cerberus ability" Masayo and Greg said in unison

"Now that he's paid 3 gauge his Ricdeau Demon Slay has a critical of 8" Tai added

"Not only that his weapon has Penetrate thanks to Griffin" Charlotte stated

"I attack your center with Ricdeau Demon Slay"

"I cast Solomon's Shield!"

"So you still had some defence left, well to reward your efforts I'll beat you with this instead...Final Phase!"

"This impact is.." Tai started

"Instead of using Armorknight Demon "A" he's using..." Jessie continued in the dugout

I was surrounded in a blue aura as my hair stood on end with my eyes becoming a red colour and I felt a wild power rise up inside me.

"I pay 3 gauge...True Ultimate Battle Skill!"

I rose up again with Ricdeau Demon Slay a black and red lightning surrounding it as I charged at him.

"GIGA DEMON SLAY!"

As I yelled that with a wild aura in my tone I slash Tsukomo as his center monster was sliced in half and with Penetrate got hit by the blast having his life rocket down from 8 to 0 as his flag broke up into orange squares.

"Game Over, Winner Darren Hikari"

"What a finale! Tsukomo's defence was obliterated by the force of Darren's Ace monsters!" The announcer shouted with excitement as the crowd cheered in a frenzy amazed by that fight

"In the end Tsukomo couldn't do much..." Masayo mumbled

"Even if Darren didn't use Giga Demon Slay he had the gauge to use Demon Ace ability to stand and attack again" Tai stated

"With Demon Ace and Giga Demon Slay the match was over for Tsukomo" Ishin said explaining the same thing to Yudai and Jessie

With that Tsukomo walked back with his head down back to the dugout and was greeted by Ishin and the others.

"You did your best Tsukomo" Jessie said

"You managed to hold out for so long so know need to be down" Yudai agreed with Jessie

A small hard to notice smirk could be seen on Tsukomo's face then mumbling something.

"Sorry guys" Tsukomo mumbled as he passed out on the floor causing a panic for everyone on Honorus Magus Draconum and Universal Alliance who saw what happened from the stands

"Tsukomo" Yudai and Jessie said in unison with concern

"I'll take him to the infirmary. You guys focus on the fight" Ishin said as he headed to the infirmary carrying Tsukomo

"What happened?" Masayo said with worry seeing what happened to him with Greg, Charlotte and Tai showing the same reactions as him

After a couple of minutes Ishin was with Tsukomo in the infirmary and as the official said for Ishin to return to his team he complied and wondered about the smirk he barely saw as he walked back.

'That smirk on his face...something was up with it..' Ishin thought continuing to walk back
