"GGAAAHHH!! Why am I suddenly losing? I lost to Tai now this girl!" Hallie gave him a stern look. "My name is Hallie not "this girl"!" Hallie went to Blair and Tai. "I did it! I won my first match! It's thanks to both of you guys for helping make my deck. Thanks again Tai for giving my buddy." She went to hug him. Tai looked at her. "No problem. I am impressed by how you handle your deck. You did it like you been playing for awhile." She started to blush. Then Charles came over. "Thanks for the game Hallie. You did good." He held out his hand. "Thanks." She shook it. Blair looked outside. "I think we should go home."

On their way home, Blair realized something. "Tai, when you gave Hallie her buddy, you said somebody you yours. What is your buddy?" Tai looked at the sky. "It was my best friend who gave this card." He took out Rising Flare Dragon. The girls were in awe. Blair asked if she can hold it. She was examining it. "Not only Rising Flare Dragon is rare, since it is foiled, it is a triple rare!" Tai nodded. "She gave it to me before she moved away the next day. But before she moved we made a promise to never lose until we face each other." Hallie was looking at Blair. "Looks like you could of had competition." Blair's face turned red. "Really! Thats what you got out of that!" Hallie starts to laugh. They made to the girl's house. "Bye, Tai." They both waved bye. As Tai starts to walk home, he thought to himself, "Will I get to see her again?"

At Krono's castle, Roderick was making a plan. "The guardians have to appear somewhere. They usually partner with a person of great skill and spirit." He starts to pace around. "Maybe we need an event. Yes, that's good." Kronos walks in. "What's good?" "Milord, I came up with a plan to bring out the guardians." "Okay, tell me." "A buddyfight tournment with the greats." Kronos looked puzzled. "Let me explain..." He told him the plan. "That's good. Lets do it."
