Both fighters and their buddies stared each other down intensely. With both their dreams, their future on the line, this will be the final turn. "So, how did Flare take that form?" Tai held up a blank card and it was changing into Flare's current form. "Our bonds have fully synchronize to create the power to lead to the future!" "I'm Neo Armordragon, Rising Flare 'Nova'!" Flare roared.  Shadow Tai smirked. "Bonds, huh? I have 10 life! Show me what this bond can do!" "I will use Flare's first effect! Since I have a card with Flare in the name on the field, I will draw. I will cast Dragonic Grimoire! I draw until I have 3 cards in hand! Now I will cast Dragonic Way! I draw 2 cards. Now I discard a 'Flare' card from my deck to the drop zone to equip, Rising Holy Sword, Flare Punisher!" The sword that Tai equipped was the same sword that Flare had. "Aw, that's so cute! You guys are twins!" "Let's go Flare." Flare nodded and charge at Shadow Tai, but Rebellion stopped the attack. "You got to do more than that." Shadow Tai scoffed, but Tai smirked. "I use Flare's effect! Since there are 3 or more 'Rising Flare' cards in the drop zone, he gain plus 5000 and 1 critical until the end of the turn!" Flare's aura was getting stronger as he overcame Rebellion. "Now since he has a soul with Flare..." "I gain Penetrate!" As he was done with Rebellion, he continued his attack with Shadow Tai. "I cast Shadow Art, Endless Demise! If a Shadow monster was destroyed, I gain life based on it's critical! So I gain 3!" Once Flare slashed Shadow Tai, he swung again. "Double Attack!" "Cast! Shadow Dragon Shield!" "Now my turn! Flare Punisher!! Since I have a Flare monster on my field, this attack cannot be nullified or reduced!" He declared as he sliced him. He didn't flinched. He actually started to laugh as Tai went back to his spot. "And after all of that, you barely made a mark. I am at 10 still! Not even you're Gargantua Punisher can finish me!"

Tai looked at Flare and nodded. "You maybe right but even in the deepest of despair, hope still shines through! I cast Dragonic Way once again!" Then he raised a card into the air, and the clouds started to swirl. The Guardian Wielders regain consciousness. "Wha....whoa Tai look at you!" Hallie said. "Looks like he pulled another miracle." Luke replied. Blair nodded.
"Everyone! Lend me your strength and spirit!" Tai cried. The gang knew what he was trying to do and took out their buddies. Then their buddies changed into balls of light and when towards the sky.

Everyone around the world saw the light going into the sky, and held their buddies up, and changed into light. Even the buddy police lend their buddies to the cause. As the energy was being collected, a giant blade started to form. "Come on!" Tai cried. Blair remember Red Dragon and Card Burn. She took them out and they turned into light towards the blade. Shadow Tai was speechless. There before him was a golden blade, one like Tai's and Flare's. "How..." "This is our soul, this is our spirit! I discard my hand! For every card with Flare in the name, I gain 1 critical! Since I have 3 plus 7 cards, equals 10 critical!!!" "No...it can...be.." "This blade will lend us into the future! Guardian Strike!! Celestial..." "PUNISHER!!!" Everyone cried in unison as the blade came crashing down. Final Score: Tai-2, Shadow Tai-0.

After the match was done, the portal started to go out of control. It was creating distortions everywhere. "What is going on?" Hallie asked. "It portal is out of control, since Shadow Tai was defeated." "How can we stop it?" Blair asked. Tai looked at the giant blade on the field, and got an idea but something that will end all. "I could use the power from the blade to close that portal." Tai said. "Are you crazy?" Blair said. "There must be another way than sacrificing yourself!" "Don't worry, I can make miracles happen." He said calmly with a smile. "But-" Before she knew it, Tai had kissed her. He pulled away, he hugged her. "It's okay, I will come back." Tai said comforting her. "Promise?" She asked softly. "Yeah, promise." She pulled away and pushed him towards Flare. "Then go and save the world!" He nodded and took off with Flare. "You think he's coming back?" Hallie asked. "I don't know." Luke replied.

Tai and Flare lifted the blade and plunge it into the portal. The portal was giving resistance, but the two Guardians kept pushing. "Keep going!" That was what was going through their heads. It was just not them two fighting, but all the buddies on the planet. It was becoming harder and harder the closer they got. Tai got an idea. "Flare! Give me your power!" "But Tai-" "FLARE!!"

In a white subspace, Tai and Flare was facing each other, not in the Ultimate Golden Guardian mode. "Flare, please lend me your strength, so we can save this world." "But Tai, if you do this, you'll have too much resulting in...in..." Tai went up to him. "I know that. But I want sacrifice my life to save the world. I'm sure understand that too." He said clamly. "Please Flare." Flare grit his teeth but gave in. "Fine, you win." They both smiled. "We been through so much together, I seen you grow from a boy to a legend. You kept hope while facing despair. That's why," He offered his fist for a fistbump. "I'm proud to be your buddy." Tai finished, while accepting. A light shined between them, resulting Flare went back to his normal form. He went back to the ground while changing into a card. "See you later, buddy."

Tai was overflowing with energy now he had Flare's strength. "Let's end this once and for all!" While letting out a cry, he plunge the sword all the way. There was about to be an explosion, but Tai use all his energy to contain it in a sphere. "Thank you everyone. I am glad to be your friend." A light blinded everyone and once they we able to see, the sky's was blue and rainbow particle was floating around. The Buddy monsters were returning to their owner's, and in a certain spot, two bodies were formed out of some of the particles. The bodies was 2 teenage girls, one with black hair while the other had lavander. Red Dragon and Card Burn was next to them. As the Guardian Wielders and Masayo gain their buddies back, Blair received something else. It was a Buddyfight deck. She flipped it over to she the 'Guardian Strike! Celestial Punisher!' on the front. She read it's flavour text out loud. "The future, the past, and the present. I will protect all of it, no matter what! So you actually used it to save the world." A tear fell on the card. Hallie approached her. "Hey Big Sis, are you okay?" Blair wiped her tears and looked towards the blue sky. "I'm fine. He will come back one day. I know it."

Six months later, reconstruction was done and the gang was going along with their lives. Luke, is the commander of the Buddy Police, while Blair is working with the Buddyfight Association. The reconstruction went by faster than normal because the monster helped out. During the reconstruction process, it was discovered that Tai actually combined the world's into one. The Association gave the Guardian Wielders a chance to name it. Today they was going to a celebration of the renew world. Blair was at her desk, looking at something, when Rosena came in. "Hey, it's almost time." She said. "Thank you, I will be down in a moment." When she left, Blair put her item down and made her way. "One day." She turn the lights off and left. On her desk, a faint light was coming from the item. It was Tai's deck. The Future was safe, and peace has returned. And thanks goes to the one and only, Tai Rhinehart.
