Hey guys its me, Skye. Sorry I haven't updated, buy I've been busy with my other book. Hey guys, great news! We've reached 150 reads!!!! Yay!!! That means extra chapter!!!! Yass my new goal is 500 reads!!! So lets work hard to beat it!!! I'm so excited! So we just found out that Edge is a girl. Pay attention, in the next chapters surprise number 2 is coming!!!! Yay! Ok so this chapter is gonna be long because I haven't updated a lot lately. Again I'm sorry. Here is chapter 7, I hope you like it!!!! Hiccup sat there by Toothless. By a campfire, where silence was the only thing that could be heard. Toothless was bored, so he got up and went towards Edge's satchel. Toothless slid the satchel latch over, opening the satchel. Toothless began looking through the satchel. Hiccup got up and took the satchel away from Toothless.

"Toothless! No! We don't want to be snooping around with her stuff. We have her trust, we don't want to lose it." Hiccup said holding the satchel far from Toothless' grasp.

Toothless tried to bite the satchel strap to swipe it away from Hiccup, but he failed. Toothless sat up and wiggled his nose. Toothless began giving him the silent treatment. He sat facing Edge, away from Hiccup.

"Toothless, are you pouting again?" Hiccup asked.

Toothless mocked him, acting like he was Hiccup. He acted like he was talking, making noises every time he opened his mouth. He didn't even look at Hiccup.

"Toothless!" Hiccup said, walking up to him.

Hiccup tried giving him eye contact, but Toothless preferred to pay attention to Edge, who was calmer than Hiccup was, since she was unconcious.

"Come on big baby boo! Toothless!" Hiccup groaned.

Hiccup had left the satchel behind Toothless. Toothless smirked. Once Hiccup had focused his attention on something else, Toothless quickly turned around and grabbed the satchel and began pouring all the contents out. Toothless was looking for something. Hiccup heard clanking. He had his focus on Edge, looking at her. Her nose was small with pouty lips that were now purple, instead of her natural color. Her lips were full. Her eyelashes were medium sized. Her face was even out. Hiccup wondered what her eyes looked like. She was peaceful and innocent when she was asleep. Once he heard clanking and rustling, Hiccup immediately turned around. He had forgotten about the satchel! Hiccup looked at Toothless, who was rummaging through the contents of the bag. It had all sorts of things. Knick knacks, pens, inventions, journals, books, and the first aid kit. Hiccup noticed that Toothless had grabbed one thing: the journal. Hiccup raised his eyebrow at Toothless. Toothless smiled and stuck his tongue out at Hiccup.

"Very funny Toothless. Please put the stuff back in her satchel. It's private, bud. Maybe she doesn't want to share it with us. Maybe she will when she gets up. Just let her decide when she gets up, ok. It's much better than snooping around without her permission. Then she won't trust us anymore. Right now we don't need that. We have to be home." Hiccup said.

Toothless moved the journal with his snout. Something fell out. A picture. Hiccup picked the picture up. It was a little girl with wavy black hair standing by an older woman, presumably her mother. Hiccup looked at Edge, maybe that was her mother. Then another picture slipped out, as Toothless moved the journal a little more. It was the same little girl but this time with a tall man and another little girl. They looked alike. One was taller and the other was shorter. Hiccup looked at the pictures then at Edge. Toothless wanted to see the pictures, but Hiccup didn't let him. Hiccup then started putting everything back in the satchel. Toothless agreed, as he helped Hiccup put everything back in the satchel, except the journal Edge had been drawing in, earlier. Toothless hid it under his tail. Once Hiccup had placed everything back in the satchel, he placed it beside Edge. He kept the pictures out though. Toothless dragged his tail and laid his body beside Edge. Hiccup was on the other side. Hiccup and Toothless had already eaten, so all they did was wait. Hiccup couldn't help but stare at Edge. He smiled. He didn't notice Toothless was watching. Toothless grinned at Hiccup. Hiccup finally noticed Toothless. Toothless gave him lovey dovey eyes.

"Toothless, no. Don't start with that face." Hiccup said slightly annoyed.

Hiccup knew what this face meant. He remembered him doing that when he and Astrid had their first romantic flight. Hiccup smiled at remembering that and their first kiss. When he had finally gotten accepted by the world. Oh, Hiccup wanted to be back home. Toothless nudged him.

"What, bud?" Hiccup asked.

Toothless pointed at Edge. He did his best to wiggle his imaginative eyebrows, just like Hiccup would of. Hiccup's cheeks changed color slightly. Getting rosier and pinker. Could this be true?

"Toothless, don't go there. I was just thinking. . ." Hiccup said quickly making an excuse.

Toothless gave him a sarcastic face saying, "yeah sure." Hiccup rolled his eyes. Toothless with force nudged Hiccup over towards Edge. He landed right on Edge. Umph. Hiccup quickly got off of Edge.

"Toothless!!!! No. It's not like that! We are just friends. . . not even that acquaintances!" Hiccup said gulping the last part.

Toothless laughed as Hiccup got redder and redder, as he tried explaining their relationship. The harder Hiccup tried explaining to Toothless, the harder Toothless persisted. Hiccup tried his best to keep it in.

Then he started thinking, "What am I doing? I have Astrid. I should be happy with that. Come on Hiccup, wake up, you don't even know her. Astrid is everything I've ever wanted, so snap out of it!!!! Even if Toothless persists. Astrid is all I need and she will make me the happiest man alive. . ."

Hiccup then snapped back to reality. Toothless gave him love eyes, but this time Hiccup was prepared.

"No, Toothless. I've got Astrid and I'm pleased with her. She makes me the happiest man alive. Stop it. Me and Astrid are happy together and nothing is going to change that. No girl or stranger or pouty dragon is going to change that. Ok. " Hiccup says confidently.

Toothless slapped the back of his head with his tail and went to sit by Edge. He nudged her a few times, but still no response. Toothless knew Hiccup could be stubborn, especially around girls. Toothless looked at Hiccup, who just stared at the fire. He began poking a stick into the engulfing flames. Toothless wondered what was going on his head. With Hiccup anything is possible, he thought. Especially the ideas and thoughts in his head. Truthfully, Hiccup didn't want to play this game with his feelings. Feelings are the hardest thing to understand. Would she be OK? Hiccup kept going back to that question. Would they get back home? Would he see Astrid or the gang or his mom or Gobber again? Hiccup looked at Toothless. He was now sleeping. Maybe the pouty dragon was just cranky and needed a nap. He smiled then he looked at Edge. He touched her cheek. It was considerably warmer than last time he had touched her. Her skin was soft as silk. The closer Hiccup looked at her the more he noticed that to him she didn't have any imperfections, at least physically. When Hiccup carried her, she was light, but from just looking at her Hiccup understood how appearances can be deceiving. She wasn't thin, but she was muscular and curvy.

"Edge, please wake up! I couldn't live with myself knowing that you died for my protection. I'm sorry. Please wake up. You wouldn't have to be alone, anymore. You could come to Berk with us. You'd be happy and safe." Hiccup said as he began leaning in.

As he was about to press his soft lips on her cheek, but he felt liquid meet his face instead. Hiccup backed away, wiping his nose and face off. Was that salt water? He looked at Edge who began twitching and moving her head sideways, back and forth. Edge was waking up! Toothless felt movement beside him, so he opened his eyes, waking up. He grinned from ear to ear his gummy pink smile, when he saw Edge moving around. Edge then began coughing out sea water. Cough! Cough! Cough! Edge began flinching, and then stopped. Hiccup looked at her alerted. Toothless was restless, so he faced Edge's face and stuck a small part of his pink tongue out. He licked her small, warmer, tan nose. Lick! Lick. Lick. Edge felt Toothless' wet tongue touch her nose. She didn't know what it was, so she turned the other way. Toothless began licking her nose again, this time Edge scrunched her nose. Then she began remembering. Hiccup, Toothless, the gronkle, the spell, the hit. The memories began replaying in her head. Toothless kept licking, he wasn't going to give up. To Edge, it felt like a tingly sensation, like something was tickling her. Wait! She felt something one her nose. Her mask! Oh no, her identity! Immediately, she opened her eyes and got up. She was panting heavily. Then she saw Toothless, smiling, while Hiccup quickly went to her side. Edge felt a sharp pain in her arm and head. With her uninjured arm she touched her head and quickly regretted that action. She groaned and grunted in pain. She felt her face, her soft lips and nose. Where was her mask? Her breathing slowed down, as she calmed down.

"Edge! Your awake! Are you OK?" A concerned Hiccup asked.

Edge touched her forehead, " Where am I?"

Hiccup replied, calmer, "Safe! We're by the ocean."

Edge asked, "What happened? What is this?"

Edge pointed towards her wrapped arm. She then looked at Hiccup, with raised eyebrows.

"What did you do to me, Hiccup?" Edge said crossing her arms, in pain.

Hiccup replied, "You were hurt and I just made the bleeding stop. Why didn't you tell me you were hurt? Edge I need to know if you're hurt. Me and Toothless aren't the only thing that matter. You do too."

Edge wasn't happy, "And you decided to help me, by revealing my identity and wrapping my small cut. . .cute, but I can survive by myself thank you very much. Do you not think I can survive on my own? Because if you don't, I suggest you try surviving by yourself!"

Toothless came up behind her and sat beside her like a person would, nodding like Skye was doing. Did she just call Hiccup's actions at trying to help her, cute? Toothless hugged Edge, making the corners of her mouth rise up.

Hiccup slightly angry, replied, "Yeah. I did, because I care for people. Don't tell me that you don't, because that's a big lie and you know it! You know you do. If Toothless likes you, its for a reason! Why didn't you tell me you were a girl?"

Edge was astonished, "Because no one takes a girl seriously. I'm tough and I don't need your approval to do anything. As for your dragon, I think I like him better than you!"

Edge faced the other way, hmphing him. Hiccup stuck the bottom part of his lip out as Edge gave more attention to Toothless than she did to Hiccup. It got quiet. After a while Edge broke the silence. She saw how sad Hiccup looked. She felt horrible. She was tough, but she wasn't a careless heartless person. She had to apologize.

"Thank you, Hiccup. . . ." Edge said nicely making Hiccup smile, his emerald eyes glowing with happiness.

"And. . . ." Edge gulped, "I'm sorry. It's just, I haven't been with people in a very long time. I appreciate your concern, but I'm fine, I was fine."

Hiccup scooted closer, "Edge, its OK. I'm sorry. Look Edge I-"

Hiccup was cut off, "That's where your wrong. My name isn't Edge, its Skye. Skye Worthington. I'm sorry I didn't tell you I was a girl or my name."

She held out her hand so Hiccup could shake it. He did. Hiccup shook her hand. Hiccup felt Skye's hand. It was soft and fit in his hand perfectly. Hiccup held it after they had a proper hand shake. It took a couple seconds for Hiccup to let go, earning a blushing Skye and his blushing self. Skye only held her own hand before her cheeks returned to their natural color. Hiccup looked at Skye, this was the first time she had actually smiled with emotion. Hiccup remembered the photos he found earlier.

"Skye. . what a beautiful name." Hiccup said aloud.

He didn't realize he said that until Skye's cheeks unwantedly turned pink. Skye looked away fixing her bangs and getting then out of her face. Hiccup got back to the point.

"These fell out your satchel, Ed- Skye." Hiccup said as he handed her the photos.

Skye looked at them. She held the picture side by side.

"I haven't seen these in a while. . . time has changed." Skye said.

Hiccup was curious, so he scotched beside Skye. Skye looked and him and smiled.

"Is that you?" Hiccup said, as he looked at the picture beside Skye.

Skye smiled, "Your a observant and perceptive one, aren't you."

Hiccup teased, "I try my best."

Skye giggled, "That was me and my mother and the other picture is Alice and her father."

Skye frowned, she hated Alice's dad. Those pictures brought horrible memories. She was going to throw the pictures in the fire, but Hiccup stopped her.

"Don't burn them. They are your memories. Why would you burn them?" Hiccup asked.

Skye looked down, sad.

"Too much pain. When I'm ready, someday. . .I'll be able to talk about it more." Skye said, trying not to cry.

Alice. Her mother. Her parents. The abuse. She couldn't hold it in anymore. Tears began sliding down her cheeks making her eyes glossy. She began sniffling. Hiccup hugged her.

"Hey, its OK. Don't worry about telling me. Like you said, when your ready, I'll be here." Hiccup said in her ear.

Skye dug her head on his shoulder.

"So much pain, Hiccup. That's why I'm like this." Skye said, her voice muffled.

Thy broke away. Skye cleared her tears as Hiccup smiled his toothy grin.

"Your a great Chief." Skye suddenly said.

Hiccup looked at her, "Why, would you say that? You don't even know me. "

Skye smirked, "I know what I see. You seem like the compassionate person, who has an adorable dragon that I could never be angry at."

Skye rubbed underneath Toothless' chin. He began prancing around. Then he licked her cheek. Skye giggled as she cleaned the dragon saliva off her cheek. Skye kissed Toothless' snout. Toothless using his paw, passed the journal to her. Skye smiled.

"Why thank you, Toothless. " Skye said in appreciation.

Hiccup looked at her. He tended the fire and handed Skye a crunchy fish. Skye gratefully took it and ate it. Once she finished she drank some water. Skye handed the picture of her and her mother to Hiccup.

"Here. I want you to keep it. It's a gift from me to you." Skye said.

Hiccup took it.

"Skye, you didn't have to. . ." Hiccup said.

"Oh but I do. I'm grateful and this is the only way how I know I could possibly repay you." Skye said.

Hiccup raised his eyebrows, "I know another way."

Skye looked at him confused, "How?"

Hiccup smirked, "You come with me and Toothless back home."

Skye looked at him astonished.

"Hiccup. I don't think so. I'm where I belong. I can't go back to where people live. I haven't been with people in 5 years. They won't like me. Your joking, right." Skye said, thinking he was joking.

Hiccup nodded "no".

Skye looked at him, " Sorry, Hiccup, but I don't think going back with you is something I'd like. I have things to tend to."

Hiccup didn't buy it, not for one minute.

"I think you doing want to go because your hiding something. . ." Hiccup gave her a suspicious look.

Skye teasingly pushed him over. Hiccup did it back.

"I'll sleep on it, ok, tornado hairs. Good night." Skye said.

Toothless didn't like this. So he pushed Hiccup over, on top of Skye.

"Whoa!" Skye said.

Hiccup got off of her quickly. He helped her up.

"Sorry." Hiccup said sheepishly.

Skye smiled. He was kinda cute. Wait! She just met him.
Skye saw that Hiccup was cold. His clothes were torn and the fabric was thin and not a great insulator. His tux, was now shreds of it. Skye took off her hood and cloak and walked up to Hiccup. She put it on him and kissed his cheek, making Hiccup's cheek flush a red color. Skye laughed as she laid on her side and began falling asleep. Hiccup looked at her. Did she just? She did!!!! She did! She kissed Hiccup's cheek. Hiccup liked it. Uh oh.

"What's going to happen now?" Hiccup asked himself.

Toothless gave him lovey dovey eyes as he scoffed at him. Toothless then went to sleep beside Skye and keep her warm. His body wrapped in a ring around her. Hiccup looked at her. She was wonderful. How could a wonderful person have such a horrible childhood? Hiccup started falling asleep, so he went to sleep beside Toothless, on the opposite side of Skye.

"Good night Skye." Hiccup whispered, before he fell into a deep slumber, as did Skye and Toothless.

The night was calm that night and only the moon shined on ocean waters. Drago was furious once he found out what happened to Hiccup and Toothless. He was so angry that he executed on of his very own guards. Luckily it wasn't Shear. Drago was now preparing for retaliation. He was determined to get Hiccup and Toothless back! Now all he was going to do was plan his next attack. Very carefully. Berk doesn't know what's coming.

Hiccup said it, what's gonna happen next? You'll find out! So Hiccup is sorta liking her, we don't know yet. I can't spoil anything either. But yeah, that's right I put my own character in this book. Ok soi Drago is planning is next attack!!!! The suspense and drama. Don't worry fellow Hiccastrid shippers, Astrid and Valka will be back in the story in a few chapters, I promise!!!!
