Hiccup was feeling much better now. After 2 days of recuperation, he was feeling much much better. Skye would come every few hours to see what he needed. She would leave quickly, due to her regretting refusing his kiss. She didn't want to hurt him, but her and Chief, not possible. The odds are against that fantasy. . .Skye at the moment was drawing. She sat in her room, laying on her bed. She began drawing, stroke by stroke, line by line. Drawing would usually take her mind out of her problems. When in doubt, she would go flying with Daybreaker, but Daybreaker was busy. She and Toothless were outside running in the grass. Skye just focused on what she was doing. After a while, she noticed that she was drawing Hiccup!!! Skye immediately through the journal at the door. It frustrated her. Knowing that she had Hiccup could've kissed made her wonder why. Why? Well Hiccup was in no condition to fly, but Skye thought that it would be better if he was back in Berk with his family than with the girl who quite possibly might of broken his heart and embarrassed herself in front of him. She had been trained not to let her feelings interfere with these matters. Sadly, feelings were one thing that couldn't be contained. They could be hidden, but not destroyed. They couldn't disappear they could just be there. Skye groaned as she got up from her bed and went to pick up the journal. As she turned to get it, she felt something hit the back of her head. She looked behind her to see Daybreaker and Toothless snickering. Skye rolled her eyes and climbed out the window.

"Daybreaker! Toothless! Stop it! I'm not in the mood to play. Was that an apple? " She asked looking at the apple tree.

"How did you guys get apples out of the trees and then throw it directly at my head?" She questioned, hearing gurgles in the background.

She didn't know that Hiccup had been faking it and that he had gone out to explore the island. He had been out today. When Skye saw him in the morning he had already changed. He was the one the accidentally threw the apple at the back of Skye's head. It was supposed to hit Toothless, but it hit Skye.

Hiccup hid behind the tree, trying to not attract any attention. Me heard footsteps getting louder. Her footsteps rustled in the grass. Her heard her count.

"1. . 2. . 3." She counted, elbowing the tree.

A shiny apple fell from the tree landing right in her delicate palm. She caught it and began munching on it. How did she do that? She did it again, but this time the apples didn't fall in her palm. . . they fell on Hiccup's head.

"Ow! Ow! Ow!" Hiccup groaned as three juicy red apples fell on his head and then to the ground.

That's when Hiccup realized, he just exposed his cover. He made a run for it, but was caught right in the act. Skye grabbed his collar.

"Oh no, you don't." Skye said now facing him, her arms on her hips.

"Hiccup. . .what are you doing up? Have been faking this whole time?" Skye said furrowing her eyebrows at him.

Hiccup nervously replied, "I was hoping you didn't find out till later, but I guess it's ready. I didn't want you finding out because it was a surprise, but. . ."

Skye gave him a look of concern, "What do you mean it's ready? Surprise? Hiccup you didn't. . ."

Hiccup grabbed her wrist and took her to a waterfall near her house. Hiccup stopped her.

Skye confusingly asked, "Where are we going? "

Hiccup only smirked, "You'll see. "

Hiccup put his hands on her big eyes.

"What are you-" Skye was interrupted by Hiccup.

"Close your eyes, Skye. Just do it." Hiccup's voice witty.

Skye felt warm when she was in his presence, but when Hiccup left, Skye felt his presence disappear and the warmth turn into coldness. The wind was breezy and it swooped her hair to the side. She felt Hiccup grab her wrist, leading her to some place. Hiccup hoped this work. They stopped and he let go of her wrist.

"Can I open my eyes now?" She said in a whiney voice.

Hiccup chuckled, "Not yet."

Skye crossed her arms, "Not even a peek?"

Hiccup smiled, "No. Not even a peek. Stop whining big baby."

Skye scoffed, "Me, a big baby, I don't think so Haddock! "

Skye felt Hiccup put something on her head.

"Hiccup, what did you put on my head? This better not be a joke." Skye said angrily.

Hiccup announced, "OK. You can now open your eyes Skye? Since you caught me I couldn't finish, but I wanted to show what I've been working on. . ."

Skye opened her eyes in shock.

"Wow!" Skye said in awe.

Behind the waterfall, there was a beach, Hiccup had been up, making candles and lantern for this special dinner he had planned. Hiccup glanced over to see Daybreaker and Toothless right beside her.

"You guys did this?" She asked, smiling the biggest smile Hiccup had ever seen from her.

Her eyes twinkled. The dragons nodded.

"Yeah, we made a plan." Hiccup said.

Skye smirked, "Are you sure this is for me?"

Hiccup replied, "You tell me, are you Skye?"

Skye furrowed her eyebrow, tapping her chin, "Hmm. "

Hiccup chuckled, "Come on."

The dragons sat there. Skye walked up giving Toothless a kiss in his snout. Toothless seemed to blush while Daybreaker snickered. Toothless looked at Daybreaker maliciously. Toothless thought about how Hiccup would kiss Astrid. . . he smirked. Daybreaker stood there snickering giving Toothless the opportunity to lean in and kiss Daybreaker. . . the human way. Toothless' lips on hers. Daybreaker immediately reacted, her eyes widening and then glaring at Toothless, who gave a sheepish look and smile. He was much like Hiccup in his special way. Daybreaker tried her best to use her paws to clean her face. She wrinkled her snout. She then began running away. That was Daybreaker's way of playing hard to get. Skye knew she liked it. She motioned Toothless over.

"Go get em, tiger. " Skye said winking as Toothless ran after Daybreaker.

Suddenly she felt two familiar hands cover her eyes. She knew it was Hiccup.

He whispered in her ear, "Come on, don't be shy."

It gave Skye goosebumps and shivers. Hiccup put his hands down. Skye turned around and Hiccup was gone. She scratched the back of her head, but she felt something soft instead. She unknowingly took whatever it was off of her head. It was round. It was a flower crown. It had flowers on it. They were purple and white. She smiled having a warm feeling in her heart. She heard footsteps coming behind her, Hiccup.

Hiccup tip toes closer and closer. He was going to scare her, but he failed to do so.

"Thanks Hiccup." She said walking forward.

Hiccup ran in front of her and stopped her, right in her tracks.

"How'd you know it was me?" Hiccup asked.

Skye smirked, "You're pretty slow. Plus, I know it's you. There's only Hiccup, and I'm honored to have you as a friend. Now what have you done to my island?"

She ruffled his hair and giggled. Hiccup fixed his hair, swooping it back to the side.

"Let's find out." He said, in a slight enthusiastic tone.

Hiccup led the way as they say down in front of each other. Hiccup went to get the dinner. As they ate, Hiccup couldn't help but wonder if he should give the kiss another try. Maybe. It would be best to see how the night goes. Hiccup stared at her making her blush a little. After eating Hiccup broke the silence.

"I hope this enough to make up for what I've done. . ." Hiccup said making her stop chewing her food.

She swallowed, "Hiccup, this isn't your fault. It's just that I haven't with a person in so long. Hiccup you have someone and you have a family. This isn't any of your fault, it mine. I shouldn't of stayed in your room or anything. My apologies Chief of Berk, it should've been me saying sorry to you. I don't know what it's like to be loved Hiccup, so I'm sorry I've been cold. Like I said, my apologies Chief."

Hiccup looked at her as she got up to leave.

"Skye. . please. . come back." He pleaded.

She only replied, in a monotone, "Apologies Chief."

Hiccup stopped her, "Stop that! Stop that right now!"

Skye stopped, "Sorry, Ch-"

"Don't finish that sentence. What do you think your accomplishing by calling me Chief? You know I don't like that, so why call me it." Hiccup said, questioning her.

"Boundaries. They are called boundaries, Hiccup." Skye sassily said with anger in her voice.

She tried blocking him out but Hiccup would get in her head one way or another.

"Is this what you do when someone tries to get close to you?" Hiccup asked making her stop.

He hands were fists, "No. You wouldn't understand."

Hiccup grabbed her arms, "Let me in, maybe this is your second chance at having a family again and at being loved. "

Skye now angry scrunched her nose, "One if it isn't."

Hiccup in a calm voice replied, "One if it is. Give me that chance."

Skye scoffed, "You wouldn't have time for me. Let me be."

She met his eyes, his against hers. Hiccup's hands slid down her arms to her hands. Their fingers intertwined. Hiccup wasn't thinking, he was going to convince her, one way or another.

"I can't because I want to help. Let me help you, Skye please." Hiccup said his eyes hypnotizing.

Skye looked down frowning, "I don't belong with you or people, Hiccup, so you can't help me."

Hiccup smirked, "Not with that attitude."

She scoffed, "Excuse me!"

Hiccup smirked giving her a dirty seductive look, "Give me a chance, unless you're scared."

Skye rolled her eyes, "I'm not scared. . .I'm terrified."

She looked down again.

"Come to Berk with us." Hiccup said proposing his idea.

Skye took a step back, "I don't think so."

Hiccup hugged her, her head on his chest.

"Please. Give having a family again a chance. Give me a chance." Hiccup said in her ear.

She replied in a muffled voice, "You aren't going to let me be until you get the answer you want are you?"

Hiccup smirked a little, "What do you think?"

Skye groaned, finally giving in, "Fine! I'll go to Berk with you. . . only to drop you off. Got it."

Hiccup give her a pouty face, "That's not enough. Give me 5 days."

Skye's eyes widened, "5 days!!! No way!! 1 day!"

Hiccup negotiated, "4 days!"

Skye replied, "2 days, take it or leave it!"

Hiccup quickly replied, "3 days, if you want me not to come back and bother you again."

She thought about it, Hiccup gave her a dirty smile.

"Fine, 3 days it is." Skye said in utter defeat.

Hiccup did his happy dance, hugging her tightly. Skye only smiled.

"I haven't seen anyone this happy to take someone with them back home." Skye said kissing his cheek.

Hiccup blushed making her giggle.

"I hope that never changes Hiccup. I hope you never stop taking no for an answer." Skye said holding his hand again.

Hiccup felt her hand fit perfectly in his.

"I hope that you like Berk. " Hiccup said.

Skye put her head on his shoulder, "Maybe."

"To Berk!" Hiccup said with enthusiasm.

Skye giggled, "To Berk and to second chance."

Ok, finished!!! Love is getting in the way. Uh oh, now they are going back to Berk. What will face then there? The next chapter will be sure to give you a clue. . . I'm excited.
