Hey guys Skye here!!! Ok so I haven't updated I know so I decided to finally update. Yay!! So in a few chapters we are gonna get to a good part!!! Like a really good action part!!! I'm so excited!!! Today was the day! The day Hiccup would return home. Hiccup was excited, as was Toothless who at the moment was running all around his room. Hiccup only laughed. Yesterday was a great day. He had gotten Skye to come with him and Toothless back home. The species was saved! She would have friends and a family, all Skye ever wanted, a second chance. Her eyes sparkled when he had proposed the idea, but she was excited and terrorized at the same time. Mix emotions made Hiccup not able to read her emotions when she had gone to bed yesterday. Daybreaker was just happy that she would be Toothless and that she and her owner could start a fresh slate again. Something new, new friends, new family, another chance. That's all they needed, another chance at being loved. Daybreaker knew Skye was anxious to go to Berk, but she also had he doubts. This was a big step for both of them. Skye only took a bag with a few things, her journal and sketchbook, her sword, and a set of clothes, two shirts and two pants. She folded them neatly, one blue shirt and the other black. As for her pants they were brown and black. Her leather satchel was her mother's. She took it with her in honor of starting a new journey. Her mom would be proud. The sky was awake, so her mom was up. Sky looked up and smiled, waving. Skye took a few lead pencils and then finished her packing. She would pack as light as possible. Thats all she needed. It was a few days, nothing special. Skye jumped out the window and went to get a few apples for later on. She took 6 apples. Hopefully, it wouldn't take long to get to Berk. Skye did her counting technique on the tree. One. . .two. . .three, bang! Skye aimed her elbow right for the center of the three markings. Down came 3 apples, plus the juicy ones she had picked a few moments later. She climbed the tree, leaving the open leather satchel on the ground for incoming apples falling from the tree. Skye hoisted herself up, sitting on a thick sturdy branch. Once she'd pick the cherry red apples, she drop them into the satchel. Her clothes the perfect cushion in between solid ground and a pillow. Skye grabbed one after another, dropping them one after another. Skye looked at the house, thinking what would happen of Drago found out she was there? So close. She got lost in thought when she heard a familiar voice call her name.

"Skye! Skye! Where are you?" Hiccup called looking for her figure.

Skye smirked as Hiccup walked towards the leather satchel that had been set on the ground. Hiccup looked around the tree, walking in a full circle before scratching the back of his head. Skye giggled. She slid of the tree, her legs still holding on the tree. Skye giggled getting Hiccup's attention.

"I'm right here genius." She said from above.

Hiccup looked up, Skye's bangs touching his nose. Hiccup smiled and she laughed.

"Hey monkey. We are leaving. What are you doing up here anyway?" Hiccup asked as Skye pulled herself up. She now sat on the rough ridged bark.

"Just grabbing a few apples for the trip." Skye said looking down, dangling her feet.

Hiccup was impatient. This caused him to whine, "Hurry up. We have to take it there before sunset."

Skye laid on the tree and pretended to be tired, yawning.

"I don't know Hiccup. I'm tired." She partially yawned.

Hiccup smiled, "Well then, if the monkey is sleepy then that's 4 extra days in Berk, fun. I guess I'll leave you to it."

Skye immediately got up and jumped of the branch landing on the ground. She stuffed the apples in her bag and wrapped it around her shoulder.

"Ready!" She said making Hiccup smirk.

"Now your ready. I wonder why?" Hiccup teasingly asked.

She punched his shoulder playfully, "Very funny Chief. Now let's go, your momma is probably waiting."

Skye headed with Hiccup to meet the dragons and off the went. Toothless and Daybreaker played around with each other, rolling in the grass. Daybreaker didn't seem to mind Toothless' prosthetic tail anymore. If anything she thought it made Toothless special. As they played, enjoying each others company, Skye called daybreaker and Hiccup called Toothless. They both ran towards them in excitement. Hiccup laughed.

"Ready girl?" Skye said scratching Daybreaker's ears.

Toothless got a bit jealous. Toothless tended to do so. Whenever Hiccup and Astrid were out, Valka would stay along with Cloudjumper. Sometimes he would get to go and get to play with Stormfly. To be honest, Astrid was a bit possessive when it came to Hiccup. After all he got all the kisses, now it was his turn. He hit the back of Hiccup's head with his tail.

"What?" Hiccup said rubbing the back of his head. Toothless only gurgled snickers.

Toothless pointed at Skye with his tail and then gave Hiccup a snug face. She giggled. Hiccup didn't want to admit it, but he liked Skye's giggle. To be honest, I like Skye more than Astrid, but that's just my opinion, Toothless thought.

"I see. Toothless wants some affection too." Skye cooed as she kissed Toothless snout.

Toothless felt Skye's fingers scratch his black scales at the back of his ears.

"Is that better?" Skye asked as Toothless rolled around on the grass, acting like if he was a baby dragon.

Skye laughed as she directed her attention towards Toothless. Hiccup rolled his eyes at seeing he getting some special treatment. Hiccup tapped his prosthetic metal peg leg. Skye gave him a look.

"Is Hiccup jealous?" Skye smirked poking his cheek on top of one his freckles.

Hiccup swatted her finger away, "No. ..Toothless doesn't like that?"

Toothless immediately gave him a death glare. He did like it. Hiccup just needed to deal with it.

"Its ok Toothless. When you want a kiss or a scratch behind the ears, just ask." Skye said winking at him and sitting herself on top of Daybreaker.

Hiccup immediately got on Toothless and locked his peg leg into place. Toothless slapped his face with his ear, for ruining the moment. Hiccup groaned.

"Come on bud, we will be home soon. Don't get cranky just yet." Hiccup said.

Toothless nodded in agreement.

"Ready?" Hiccup asked as he looked at Toothless then at Skye and Daybreaker.

"Ready!" She hollered already taking off.

The wind current was their guide. They would be in Berk in approximately a few hours. Hiccup's excitement couldn't be contained. Skye just was amazed at how much Hiccup cared that she and Daybreaker were coming with. Could the Chief have a small attraction to a scavenger who has a complicated life? Probably not, but could this scavenger have some feelings toward the Chief? Skye could tell you otherwise, but she kept it hidden. She was good at that. Real good at keeping her secrets. She had many, but if Hiccup found out what she kept from him, he'd be in a dangerous game of life and death. Skye only thought of taking Hiccup home and sneaking back home. It would be better off that way.

(Timeskip)

Hiccup, Skye, and the dragons arrived on Berk. Hiccup sat up. He had been waiting for this day. There it was, in all its glory, Berk! Hiccup knew they were doing the usual dragon races. He saw his fiancée flying on Stormfly with Snotlout, Fishlegs, Eret, and the twins following behind. Astrid was on Stormfly, Snotlout on Hookfang, the twins on Barf and Belch, and Eret on Skullcrusher. Hiccup smiled at looking at the island. In one glimpse of the island, he saw his life pass by. Hiccup thought about meeting Toothless, meeting his mom, Drago, his dad, and moments where he dared take back. As he saw the gang pass by through a tight turn, Fishlegs took the sheep and threw it in the basket.

"What are they doing?" Skye asked as Daybreaker and her watch the sheep be launched into the air. It had a target painted on their soft warm wool.

Hiccup smiled from ear to ear as he explained, "Dragon Racing! I missed that! Here watch and learn."

Hiccup and Toothless saw the black sheep being launched into the air a few moments later. With one look he and Toothless had the same idea. He saw Astrid snatch it from Hookfang's grasp and now he would return the favor. As Astrid got closer to her basket, Hiccup and Toothless snatched the black sheep from Stormfly's feet quickly. The crowd gasped as Hiccup made his surprise appearance by winning the dragon race. Valka and Gobber stood up both gasping.

"Hiccup!" They said in unison.

Valka proudly announced, "Hiccup takes the game! My son has returned! The Chief has returned!"

Hiccup landed beside Cloudjumper and was greeted by Valka giving him a hug. Gobber came up behind and patted the back of shoulder. Skye only witnessed how happy he was. He truly belonged here. She stayed hidden. Astrid and the gang came and landed beside Hiccup.

"Babe!" Astrid said pressing her lips on top of his.

Skye witnessed the kiss. Her heart sank a little.

Skye mumbled, "I take it that she's his fiancée."

Daybreaker nodded and grunted. Everyone came to greet Hiccup, literally everyone. That little platform was full of bustling people all wanting to see their Chief again. He was really loved, one thing Skye would never have.

"How'd you escape Drago? Are you alright?" Valka said checking every inch of his face.

"Where'd did you get those clothes?" Gobber asked.

Hiccup spoke up, " I met someone and she saved me and Toothless from Drago. She's been helping us for the last couple days."

Astrid questioned, "She?"

Hiccup nodded, "Yeah, she. Skye helped me."

Snotlout came from behind, "Astrid, he's gone insane. The sky helped him. He's nuts, if your looking for a new boyfriend, I'm your man."

Astrid punched his nose, "You idiot, the sky didn't help him. A girl named Skye did, right Hic?"

Hiccup nodded, "Yeah. Skye's over there."

Hiccup pointed to where they had been a few moments ago. She wasn't there. It was just the actual baby blue sky, nothing else.

Hiccup heard Snotlout mumble, "He's nuts."

Hiccup turned around, "She was here! Mom, she's here I know she is."

Suddenly Hiccup heard a crowd gasp and holler, "Nightfury!"

Nightfury? Toothless was right here. That's Skye! That was definitely Skye, it had to be. Hiccup ran towards the crowd. Skye was in the middle with Daybreaker growling at them. Daybreaker wasn't much of a people person right now.

"Skye!" Hiccup hollered grabbing her wrist, taking her towards Valka, Gobber, Astrid and the gang away from the crowd.

Daybreaker followed. Hiccup's hand slipped down to her fingers, accidentally intertwining his fingers with hers. Skye only ran behind, utterly confused about what was going on. As Hiccup got closer to his mother and the gang. He halted and brought Skye in front of him.

"Mom, this is Skye Worthington. She was the girl I was telling you about a few minutes ago." Hiccup said really cheerfully, his hypnotizing green eyes twinkling.

Skye held her hand out. Valka took it and brought her into a hug. She was about Valka's height, 5' 6 to be exact. Skye dug her face into her shoulder, it had been a while since she had felt such appreciation for doing something right.

Valka whispered in her ear, "Thank you, for bringing my son back."

Skye smiled, "Your welcome."

Gobber came up beside her, "Lass, is that nightfury yours?"

Skye nodded, "Yes, she is. This is Daybreaker."

Gobber examined Daybreaker who only growled. Skye calmed her down.

"No Daybreaker. This is-" Skye said stopping, she didn't catch his name.

"Gobber, lass. The name is Gobber lass. I'm the blacksmith, responsible for dragon saddles and weapons and you name it." He finished her sentence.

Skye shook his hand, "Nice to meet you, Gobber."

Gobber smiled, "Nice to meet you lass and Daybreaker."

Daybreaker smiled and licked his cheek. Skye giggled as Hiccup came up from behind.

"The feelings mutual Gobber." Hiccup taunted.

Skye walked towards Daybreaker, time to go.

"Well it was nice to meet you, but I should really get back." Skye said getting a stern look from Hiccup.

Astrid only watched Hiccup's face towards Skye. Her grip tightened around her axe. Valka ran up to her stopping her take off.

"Dearie you can't leave. Not until we have the feast and the welcome party. Dearie, you must stay. Please stay." Valka begged.

"I wish I could, but I have things to do at home." Skye said.

Valka begged, "Please. Just for a few days."

Skye looked at the shimmer and hope, in her eyes. Her eyes were exactly likes Hiccup's. She really wanted her to stay.

"Ok, I guess it wouldn't hurt." Skye mumbled, making Valka the happiest she has ever been in a while.

"Wonderful dearie. We will get you settled and then have a feast and a party!" Valka exclaimed.

Skye looked at Hiccup who just laughed seeing Skye actually stay for his mother's sake. Astrid didn't like this, not by one bit. She hoped this didn't change anything. She hoped Hiccup would stay, Hiccup. Everyone else seemed to like her, but with Astrid she didn't want to even think about it.

Valka smiled warmly and took her hand, "Now, dearie I'm Valka, but you may call me Val for short. Now we must hurry, the feast will be tonight! We must get you settled in. So many things to do and so little time."

Skye looked at a laughing Hiccup as Val took Skye by the hand taking her to where she would be staying for the next few days: their house.

Astrid came up behind Hiccup, "She's a little weird."

Hiccup looked at her, "I don't see her as weird, I see her as different. A good different for her."

Astrid glared making Hiccup's smile go away.

"But that doesn't change us. It never will. " Hiccup said reassuringly.

Astrid smiled, "Good, babe. I'll see you at the party tonight then."

Hiccup nodded, "Yes I will milady."

Astrid smiled and went off in the other direction. The gang dispersed and went to prepare themselves for this feast and party. Berk hadn't had one in a long time, so this would be an event no one would forget. . .
