Y/N's POV~

I was waking up in the morning as I do my usual daily routine. I go to Elkswood High. I'm currently a junior, so I still have to finish this year and next year before graduation. I finish eating my breakfast and put it in the sink. I then call to my father "Hey, I'm heading out." He then said back "Okay, be safe." I head out and go to school. Nothing ever happens. I think about how today will be just another boring school day. I kept looking down and listening to my music, not caring about what happens around me. I suddenly bump into someone. I step back and look up to see it was Vinyl. The school's best hockey player and my crush. I knew it wasn't going to happen though. I blush and say a quick apology and walk around him. I head to my class and I can't keep him off my mind. He's so handsome, and I'm just nothing. Nobody would even like me. I was at lunch eating alone as usual. Once I got my lunch, I head to my spot and eat. I could see Vinyl across the lunchroom. I could see him glance over here every so often and I would just look away. I don't want him thinking I'm a stalker or anything. Just then, Cheren and Nel walk up to me. Cheren was a wolf and Nel was a raccoon.

They're the biggest jerks in the grade and guess who they always mess with. Cheren as you could probably tell was the "Leader." And Nel is his boy toy. Nel doesn't mind though. He loves Cheren and Cheren loves Nel. And they both hate me. Cheren then says to me "Hey, ready for another beat down?" I don't reply. He grabs ahold of my shirt and lifts me up. However, he let's go when Nel tells Cheren "The teacher's here." Cheren makes a "Tsk" sound and says "Get ready for later." I again don't reply and they walk off. I finish my lunch and look to see Vinyl giving me a look of either sympathy or one that says "You're pathetic." Most likely the second option. I know that I'm pathetic. And there's no denying it either. I am pathetic. That's all there is to it. I put in my headphones and listen to my music. I play games on my phone and wait until lunch was over. Once it was, I went to my locker. I grab my stuff for my next class and then head there. Soon, it was the end of the day. All of us anxious for the day to be over. Except for me. I kept listening to my music and waited for study hall to be over. The bell rang and I went to my locker. I put my stuff away and grabbed my bag. I put in my headphones and played my music. I exit the school and start to walk home. It was pretty quiet for awhile, but it was short lived as soon as I turn a corner. As soon as I do, Cheren looks down at me with a look that was craving violence. Nel comes out of nowhere and holds me. Cheren then punches me in the stomach. I hold my stomach in pain as Cheren then punched my head down. My head hit the cement and really hard. He then says "Seriously, why don't you just find a place where people will accept you? Oh wait, the only place there is like that is in hell." I try to get up, but he then kicks me in the face. Nel was just watching and making sure no one could see. I lay down on the ground as Cheren keeps kicking me. He picks me up by my hair and goes to kick my face again. I brace myself for the pain, but it didn't happen. I look to see Vinyl there. Cheren was on the ground, holding his cheek. Vinyl then says "Leave him alone." Cheren gets up and says "Or else what?" He goes to punch Vinyl, but Vinyl catches his fist and kicks him in the stomach. Cheren then gets up, but Nel then says "Let's just go." He then whispers something in his ear. Cheren nods and they try to leave. However, Vinyl grabs Nel's tail and says "You will not hurt him again. Don't think I didn't hear what you said." Vinyl then squeezes his tail and says "Neither one of you will hurt or humiliate him ever again." Nel nods in fear and they both ran off. Vinyl walks over to me and asks "Are you okay?" I try to get up, but I stumble into his chest and start crying. He rubs the back of my head and starts saying calming words. "Don't worry. I'm here. You're safe. I'll protect you." I keep crying and he says "No one has ever stood up for you, have they?" I shake my head no and continue to cry. I then say "I'm not worth anyone's time. No one cares. No one at a-" I was cut off by the feeling of lips on mine. My eyes widen and I look up to see Vinyl's face. His lips connected to mine as he holds me tightly. I soon melt into the kiss and start to kiss back. Soon, we pull back and he says "Don't say that. Because I do." I hug him and he hugs back. He then continues "I care about, Y/N. I really do. I've been waiting for the right time to tell you. When they started to bully you at lunch, I was so mad. When I saw them beat you up, I couldn't help myself anymore." I nod. I nuzzle my head into his chest and he says "I love you, Y/N." He then blushes and asks "Would you like to be with me?" I nod, but soon my vision fades. I wake up and find myself in a bed. It wasn't my bed though. I look and see Vinyl come in. Once he notices I'm awake, he runs over to me and carefully hugs me. I hug back and nuzzle into his neck a bit. He then says "I was so worried." I nod. He then says "After you agreed to be with me, you fainted. Your wounds are pretty bad." I then notice that I was bandaged up. I then say "My father needs to know where I am!" He smiles and says "Don't worry, I used your phone to tell him you were staying with a friend." I nod and said "How far do I live from you?" He smiles and says "Look outside." I look and see my house a few houses down the block. I smile and say "I can see you often." Vinyl smiles at me and says "And you're walking with me to school from now on." I smile and hug him. He hugs back again and kisses my head. He lays down and lays my head on his chest. He then says with a smile "This is where you'll be on the weekends. Here cuddling with me. Got it?" I smile and nod. He hugs me close and says "Good." I cuddled into him as he rubbed my shoulder, kissing my head or cheek every once in awhile. I soon fall asleep from the warmth of his fur. I feel so safe with him. I don't want this to ever end. For us to ever end. As if he read my mind, I could faintly hear him say "You're mine. We'll always be together." I then fall asleep. I'm so happy.
