One step forward, two steps back. This should be the motto of the Potter household. You do not get rid of one problem but the second stand at the ready. 

When everyone was up after Ginny's frantic rambling. We all had gathered in the living room, Hermione, Ron, Rose and Hugo had joined us and now we were all ready to go out and search for him. 

I tell you the Potter boys were trouble magnets. 

I and Ted made one party, Rose and Al made another, Ron went with Hugo and Lily, and Ginny stayed home with Hermione. She was not in a state to go out for a search party. And frankly who would blame her. 

Ted and I took to the direction of the underground train tracks that had been abandoned. 

The train station had a few of the kids in the neighbourhood. Some of them I knew because of James. I asked if anyone had seen him today. They all said they had not seen him in a week. 

Going back to the surface we decided to see if he was at his flat or maybe Ted's house.

Reaching his flat we were meet by a locked door meaning that even Freddie was out tonight. Next, we apparated right outside Ted's house. Ted took out the keys even though the locks had hand imprint magical charm on them.

Going inside and shouting James's name had been of no use, he was not here either. We were about to go out and apparate to the burrow when my phone rang it was Albus. I put the call on speaker. 

"We found him," was the first thing he said and both Ted and I took a breath of immense relief. 

"He has been hit with a few curses so we are taking him to the hospital come there in a few minutes," Albus said in a hurried manner probably to get James to the hospital and cut the call in a hurry. 

I turned back to say something to Ted but all thoughts vanished. Ted was hunched over the table. Hands over his chest taking deep breaths. 

"Ted are you alright?" I asked looking at him tilting my head down to get a clearer look at him.

"Can't breath ...... I ..... I'm ..... Panic .....Attack," came Ted's very laboured reply. My eyes widened. Ted was having a panic attack. 

I stood frozen of a second totally unprepared. 

Act you, idiot, Ted's dying. 

Snapping out of my frozen state, I went towards Ted but maintain a relative distance as to not crowd him

"Ummm, Try and take deep breaths and count with me," I asked ted, he just kept shaking his head and his hand kept going to his button-up shirts top buttons. 

"Hey hey, Ted, look at me. Look at me," Taking his face in my hands and I turned it towards me maintaining the eye contact, I said, "Come on count with me, One,  " 

Ted started counting but it was not helping so the next thing I did was to unbutton the top two of buttons of his shirt. While his breathing was not increasingly laboured it was not going back to normal. 

I took his hand in mine felt it with my fingers running my hand from his forearm down to his palm, feeling the soft skin and the hard muscle in my hands' wake, this caused his eye to go wide but still, I was not able to distract him enough. I knew I needed him to stop thinking about James for a few seconds his mind would stop panicking and so would his body. 

The skin on skin sensation did help but not completely so only one thing left. 

I went on my toes and kissed him and for 15 whole seconds, I counted in my mind. Even though after the first two seconds of my lips on his I closed my eyes to a very wide-eyed Edward Lupin. 

Those fifteen seconds were the best moments of my life. His lips moved after 5 seconds his hand gripped my waist as if to steady himself on his feet. I could sense his hesitation, but then he fucking moved his lips. 

EDWARD REMUS LUPIN KISSED ME BACK.

 I could die happy now.

Fifteen blissful seconds later I pulled back to see his eyes closed a bewildered look on his face. His eyes opened a second later, and completely baffled yet awestruck look in his grey eyes, that were almost onyx now having gone darker. 

" Wha..what... not that I minded or anything... but what... rather why? " I had never seen EdwardRemus Lupin flustered in the twelve years I had known him. It was a sight for sore eyes. 

Trying to keep the smile threatening to take over my over lips, "I tried to distract your mind towards me, my eyes, got you to count, tried skin to skin sensation, this was the only thing left. I saw it on teen wolf, I guess it worked," I told him honestly the what, and why for the kiss.

He still looked like a lost puppy, it was rather endearing to watch. 

"You needed to hold your breath Ted, when people kiss they don't breath and your mind effectively diverted it's attention from the reason for your panic to being kissed randomly, all that was enough to subside the Panic Attack," I explained the reason in detail a reason he had given to me when I and Lily had asked him if it would work in real life as he was the healer.

 "If I remember correctly you were the person who gave this theory when we made you watch the scene, " I tried to jog his memory keeping him busy with a useless scene from a show just to calm his mind down.

"Yes, I did," Ted said as if remembering it now. "You remembered," Ted asked, still dazed, as if he had just taken a smoke from a joint.

"Yes, I always remember everything you say," I said as quietly as he asked 

He kept looking in eyes, his hand was still on my waist. The heat of it making me lose focus. The world faded away into his grey eyes. Grey which was positively onyx mow with swirls of grey. 

A few more minutes until he was ready to face the world. But those few minutes did something to me. 

I had just given away my first kiss to a panic attack, but the look on his face and the emotions in his eyes were worth it. 

He let me go, leaving me feeling restless as if a part of me had been lost, a part, without which I couldn't possibly live any longer.

We took off with some residual awkwardness, a bit of mortification on my part.

We left the house. I hesitated to take his hand. An-

I hate magical travelling, it's horrible no matter how fast. I grabbed on to Teddy as a lifeline until nausea stopped. 

"I hate magical travelling," I repeated out loud. Ted chuckled and we went on towards Ted's other home. St.Mungos.
