Seras vs Yoko (Hellsing vs Gurren Lagann)

Ah, anime, how I love thee. It's jam packed with overpowering attacks, mountains of violence, and fanservice. But if you combine those three you get another thing fairly common in anime: gorgeous girls with great guns. Now it's time for two of those lovely ladies to face off in a good old fashioned gun fight.

****(Seras)****

Full Name: Seras Victoria

Gender: Female

Species: True Vampire

Occupation: Vampire hunter for the Hellsing organization

Backstory: Like many protagonists, Seras Victoria would have to grow up with a severe lack of parents after seeing her parents murdered at a young age. Orphaned and traumatized, she eventually became a police officer. Life was alright, until her squad was sent to Cheddar Village to investigate a suspicious priest. Turns out this suspicious priest was actually a vampire, who'd turned everyone into his zombie slaves, including Seras' police friends, and took her hostage. These are the events that led her to meet another vampire named Alucard (no, not the Alucard from a couple fights ago), who then effortlessly killed the Vampire priest while offering Seras a choice. She could either die that night as a mere casualty of circumstances, or she could live on, as a vampire working for Alucard and his organization. Sure, the circumstances gave her no real choice and this meant Alucard would be her master, but honestly, vampires are awesome how could she say no? By the end of that night, Seras was now a blood sucking monster. She also became a member of the Hellsing Organization, a secret organization of vampire hunters. Yes, they are vampires and vampire hunters, try to keep up. At first, Seras struggled with her new vampiric side. But over time, Alucard and the Hellsing Organization groomed her from a helpless police girl into the scariest chick in the world.

Fighting Styles: Due to her training in both the police force and Hellsing, she is a gun fighter with excellent marksmanship. She is also skilled in hand to hand combat.

Weapons: When she goes into a fight, she busts out her weapon of choice, the Anti-Tank Cannon Harkonnen. This beautiful death dealer fires multiple types of ammunition, including depleted uranium with silver for piercing just about anything and explosive shells for... Well, explosions. Armed with this, Seras can shoot through several heavily armored zombies at once and can destroy pretty much anything, even a tank. She also has Harkonnen II, which can shoot rapid fire or act as a grenade launcher. With these weapons, Seras easily obliterated an invading Nazi zeppelin. And if all that fails, her razor sharp vampire teeth are more than enough for tearing out throats.

Powers: As a vampire, Seras has numerous supernatural powers. Even before she was a true vampire and was merely a fledgling, she possessed superhuman strength, speed, endurance, enhanced sight, smell, hearing, and healing. She can quickly recover from almost any wound, even after getting stabbed in the neck with a holy blade made specifically to kill vampires. She also has a third eye, a clairvoyant power able to see past illusions. These powers are certainly impressive, but they weren't enough to beat Zorin Blitz, a powerful soldier from the Nazi Vampire army called Millennium. In their fight, Zorin pushed Seras to her limits by cutting off her arm, blinding her, and killing her love interest, Pip, forcing the police girl to go beyond what she was, and evolve into a true vampire by drinking all of her dead boyfriend's blood. As a true vampire, all of Seras' abilities got a massive boost. She even gained some of the same powers as Alucard, such as the ability to create and manipulate a sort of shadow matter, which she used to create a new arm after losing the old one to Zorin. This new shadow arm can act like tendrils, a shadowy whip, a wing for flight, whatever Seras needs it to do, it does. Another ability is her soul absorption. By completely drinking one's blood, she can absorb their soul into hers, making herself even stronger. This also lets her summon the soul she's absorbed as a familiar, allowing Seras to summon the late Pip Bernadotte. He can act as a guide in her mind, help protect her from mind reading, or take a physical form to help her fight.

Strength: Seras has some ridiculous strength. More than enough to effortlessly tear people apart with her bare hands, wield weapons well over twice her size, and split a nazi vampire in half with just a karate chop.

Speed: Complimenting her immense strength is her absurd speed. She can easily dodge automatic fire, and can maintain impressive speeds even while wielding her huge guns.

Toughness: Thanks to her supernatural durability and regeneration, Seras as survived things no ordinary human could. She's been impaled multiple times with holy blades, practically torn apart by Zorin's scythe, and shot point blank, and still got back up. She's practically unkillable.

Feats: It should come as no surprise that with powers like these, Seras has pulled off some impressive feats. She's slaughtered a small army of ghouls with her bare hands and held down another crazy strong vampire named Jan. And that was before becoming a true vampire. After her change, she easily turned a squadron of nazi vampires into paste, tore Zorin Blitz apart, protected her boss Integra from a dozen vampire hunters at once, and obliterated half of the body of the Major, who's pretty much a fat cyborg Hitler. With some help from Pip, she even killed the werewolf known as the Captain, who was one of Millennium's most powerful soldiers. And decades later, her shadow alone acted as a security system for the Hellsing Mansion.

Weaknesses: She's damn powerful, but Seras is far from perfect. There's a limit to how much her regeneration can heal at once. Also throughout her years of bloodshed and violence, her mental stability has taken a couple hits. Even so, underestimating Seras Victoria would be a fatal mistake.

****(Yoko)****

Full Name: Yoko Littner

Gender: Female

Species: Human and Spiral

Occupation: Kindergarten teacher, Sniper

Backstory: Young Yoko Littner grew up in the underground village called Littner Village. But when Littner Village became uninhabitable, its residents had to go to the surface, including Yoko. But surprise, it turns out the surface had a bunch of murder happy Beastmen piloting giant mechs called Gunmen, forcing Yoko and those around her to fight these mighty mechanical monsters on a regular basis. It wouldn't take too long for her to be molded into a fierce warrior.

Fighting Styles: She's a sharp shooter, capable of shooting an opponent's weak points even in the middle of a fight.

Weapons: Her main weapon is her sniper rifle modelled after the Barret M82. This baby uses two types of ammunition, Uranium Bullets capable of piercing through Gunmen and arrows for hunting. She's also got a handgun which she is just as deadly with. But when she needs real firepower, she busts out the Yoko M Tank, her own personal Gunman. While smaller than the gargantuan Gunmen she usually fights, the Yoko M Tank is equipped with a gun barrel on top and Spiral Power barriers that can effectively fight against anti-spirals.

Powers: She has what is known as Spiral Power, a sort of life energy that allows human beings to evolve and grow. This is the power she uses to pilot Gunmen. And the stronger her will is, the stronger her Gunman becomes.

Strength: She is naturally strong enough to embed a stick of chalk into the wall simply by throwing it. The blasts from her rifle are strong enough to knock back even the toughest Gunmen.

Speed: She's incredibly fast and agile, traits necessary for fighting the giant Gunmen.

Toughness: She's survived falling from over a hundred feet and somehow shook it off casually.

Feats: She's defeated multiple Gunmen on her own without getting hurt, even one shotting one of them. She's taken down several beastmen without her gun and was even able to hold her own against Adiane, one of the bigger baddies in the series.

Weaknesses: She may be powerful, but she's not perfect. She's lucky to be as tough as she is cause that skimpy outfit provides nothing in protection. What's worse, her Spiral Power will weaken and run out if she loses the will to live. But despite this, Yoko Littner is a deadly sniper sure to take down anyone dumb enough to get in her crosshairs.

****(The Match)****

Yoko Littner was exploring an unexplored part of the world, nearing the one and only Hellsing Mansion. She soon spotted the building and began to move toward it, only for a bullet to hit the ground right in front of her. She jumped back, looking up at her shooter to see Seras Victoria on the roof of the mansion aiming Harkonnen at the crimson haired Spiral.

"You don't belong here." Seras warned, her blood red eyes glaring at Yoko, "Leave."

Yoko's eyes scanned the challenger. Red eyes, sharp teeth, spooky shadow arm. Yep, this definitely looked like a badguy. Yoko pulled out her sniper and aimed at Seras. The two girls exchanged glares.

FIGHT!!!

The two girls fired, the uranium bullets clashing. Yoko aimed a few more shots. Seras quickly dodged, jumping off the roof and aiming a few shots, which Yoko somersaulted out of the way of. Seras did a flip and aimed a kick. Yoko blocked with her rifle, then quickly pulled out her hand gun, firing a bullet that went through Seras' head, spewing blood as the police girl fell.

"Huh... that was quick." Yoko shrugged. Suddenly, Seras got back up, her wound healing.

"Surprised?" Seras smirked slightly.

"How'd you do that?" Yoko questioned.

"Fuck you, that's how." Seras said as her shadow arm extended, lashing out at Yoko. Yoko dodged as Seras' shadow arm broke the ground where Yoko'd been only seconds ago. Seras shot several times. Yoko dodged and aimed a shot that pierced through Seras' neck. Not taking any risks this time, Yoko shot again, impacting into Seras' chest. Seras was sent flying, but not before firing an explosive round. As Seras flew into the Hellsing Mansion, Yoko dodged the shell, but as it hit the ground, it exploded, sending her back. She groaned in pain. Her eyes widened as her opponent emerged from the house. With blood leaking from her forehead to her chin, Seras was now wielding Harkonnen II with a determined facial expression. She opened fire, rapid bullets flying at Yoko. She tried dodging, but a stray bullet grazed her, leaving a cut on her cheek. She quickly ran away as Seras started to give chase, but stopped as it seemed her opponent had given up and fled. Seras began to head back, when suddenly a bullet hit her shoulder, leaving a hole so large her arm almost fell off. She turned to see her opponent, now in the Yoko M Tank. Seras groaned as her shoulder healed. Yoko's Gunman opened fire as Seras did the same. The two traded bullets for a bit, until Seras' guns were hit several times, breaking the weapons.

"Farewell!" Yoko smirked, opening fire. Seras dodged what she could and healed from whatever hit her. Seras slammed her shadow arm on the ground and three shadowy tendrils appeared from the ground all around Yoko and stabbed at the mech. Yoko blocked, but the tendrils wrapped around the mech and held it up, then slammed it on the ground a few times. Yoko groaned, getting out of her mech as Seras' shadow arm went back to its usual size and shape. Seras charged at Yoko ridiculously fast, aiming rapid blows. Yoko dodged and blocked what she could, but was soon overwhelmed as Seras sent her flying upwards. Seras' shadow arm then grabbed Yoko's ankle and slammed her on the ground. Seras then raised her, landing several lashes with her shadow arm, then slammed her again. Yoko groaned as Seras grabbed the rifle to keep Yoko from making another move. The two looked at each other, taking deep breaths.

"You... You're not bad at all." Seras remarked, offering Yoko a hand up.

"... You too." Yoko nodded, taking Seras' hand in her own as the police girl helped her up.

"Sorry about that." Seras said with a light nervous chuckle, "Guess I was a bit quick to shoot."

"Whatever, I guess I was trespassing." Yoko sweat dropped.

"Maybe you could join us for tea?" Seras offered, "We have..." she froze as she looked at the hole in the Hellsing Mansion where Seras had been launched through. Evidently that was the tea area, indicated by the broken pots and cups. "Oh..." Seras sweat dropped, "Sir Integra's gonna kill me..."

"Sorry..." Yoko sweat dropped.

****(The Results)****

Ah, I know there's only been a few matches so far, but it feels like we've been long overdue for a straight up gun fight. Both of these lovely ladies were plenty impressive in their own right and each of them had some good advantages to hold her own.

For starters, Yoko was all around the better gun user. She was a better shot than Seras and her weaponry was far superior to the Harkonnen and Harkonnen II. In fact, Yoko's sniper rifle alone was enough to beat Seras' weapons. Not to mention, Yoko has faced and defeated enemies much more dangerous than Seras has. These two were definitely some big advantages. However, Seras edges out in every other category.

Seras was faster, stronger, and more experienced than Yoko, and her ability to summon Pip would give her an advantage in numbers if she needed it. When comparing their powers, Seras' shadow magic was greater than Yoko's Spiral Power. Hell, Seras' shadow arm alone was stronger and more versatile than anything Yoko's Spiral Power can do on its own. And when Seras was reaching her 50s, she was powerful enough to protect the Hellsing Mansion with her shadow powers while going about her normal routines. She even becomes comparable to Alucard himself, someone who could one shot Yoko (to be clear, she's certainly not at Alucard's level yet, but she's getting close). But most important, Yoko didn't really have a way to firmly hurt Seras. Even with Yoko's immensely powerful weapons, Seras was able to regenerate from pretty much every hit she took. And even if she couldn't, she could easily use her greater speed and strength to sink her fangs into Yoko's unarmored flesh and drink her blood. Perhaps Yoko's greatest advantage was her sniper rifle, which was easily the deadliest firearm Seras has ever encountered with its sheer power. But even if it had the potential to wipe out Seras that wouldn't have guaranteed victory, since Seras has been impaled with holy weapons (which is pretty much Kryptonite for vampires) and walked it off. Not to mention that someone faster, stronger, and tougher than Yoko, like Seras, could disarm Yoko long before she was able to wear out Seras' healing abilities. Yoko may have had better weapons and more impressive feats, but Seras was just too fast, too strong, too experienced, and too hard to take down.

Winner: Seras Victoria
