Two more days. Two more days until Valery got home and we could work out this whole werewolf thing together. That's all I could think about as I sat in my first hour, trying to not make eye contact with Noah, who had come up to me at the beginning of class and asked if anyone was sitting in the seat next to me. I had contemplated lying and saying yes, but in the moment it seemed mean. Now I wish I had.

Every other minute he would turn to look at me, I could feel his gaze on me. One time I had caught him in the act and glared at him, but it did nothing and he just smirked back.

This whole situation was making me flat out frustrated. I wasn't necessarily scared of what Noah and James would do to me. They gave me no real reason to think they'd do something to harm me, but still, I wanted to talk to Valery about all of this before I confronted them.

After the bell rang I grabbed my stuff and walked out of the class with Austin and some other football players, not really listening to what they were saying. All I could think about was Noah. It sounded weird, but whenever I was near him, I felt this sort of tug in my stomach that made me want to get closer to him.

"See you guys at lunch." I told the small group as I walked into my class. They nodded and continued walking the rest of the way down the hall.

Aside for lunch, where the rest of the football team had invited Noah over to sit with us, the rest of my day was boring. I had had any conversation with Noah at lunch, and he wasn't all that bad, but I just couldn't shake the weird feeling in my stomach.

I had avoided him during practice after school, but now, in the locker room, I had a hard time avoiding him. I had just stepped out of the shower -I decided to take one in the locker room because I had time- and I realized that the only other person left was Noah.

I had my towel loosely wrapped around my hips as I walked over to my locker. I heard Noah cough, probably trying to get my attention or just clear the air. Either way I didn't look over.

I had thrown my dirty cloths in an empty locker because mine was full, and as I reached in to grab my cloths, I felt something sharp cut my palm.

"Shit!" I mutter, looking in to see what I cut my hand on. It was a broken beer bottle that had probably been tossed in fear of getting caught for drinking on school grounds.

"Are you alright?" Noah asked, walking over. I could feel his breath on the back of my neck as I clenched my first. Already it's started to heal.

"Ya I'm fine, just scraped myself." I lied. I turned around to face him, which turned out to be a big mistake. I was inches away from his face wearing nothing but a towel.

Neither of us could move for a second. Finally Noah, face red like a tomato, stepped away and looked to the side.

"Well, if you're alright, I should, uh, I should probably get going." And with that he grabbed his bag and ran out the door. I watched him as he ran away, a bit confused and his sudden mood change.

My hand was completely healed by the time I finished changing. I wasn't to worried about it, the cut didn't even leave a scar. One thing that did worry me, though, was Noah.

Two days pass with barely anything happening. Noah and James had quickly caught my coaches eye and were practicing with the varsity players. I wasn't too surprised, they were good and had obviously played before.

Currently, I was sitting at the kitchen island doing my history homework. I didn't really care about my homework, it didn't really matter if i passed high school again or not, but history was the one subject I did when I was bored. I did live through most of it after all.

Twenty minutes later I heard a car pull into the driveway. The door opened and Valery walked in, dragging her suitcase behind her. Sighing, she closed the door behind her and threw her keys onto the table by the door.

"Look at this house. Quite lovely if I do say so myself." She declared. I rolled my eyes at her as she came into the kitchen.

"Almost like you designed it." I replied. "How was your trip?"

"Kinda lame if I'm being honest. Definitely not on my top ten trip list. Toss me a pack, I'm starving."

"Type?" I asked as I got off my chair and opened the fridge.

"B negative."

"Glass?" I asked, tossing her the package and then grabbing one for myself.

"Please, I don't feel like getting blood all over my hands." I tossed her a glass as she went to sit down at the island.

"Are you actually doing homework?" She asked, looking over at the papers scattered on the counter.

"Eh, I was bored."

She looked at me for a second before chuckling. "You'd have to be bored out if your mind to do homework. What's up?"

"Nothing, I just-" I tried to protest but her face told me it was useless. "Alright fine. You know how I told you about that wolf pack in town? I can't shake the feeling that something's up with them."

"Well have you been keeping an eye on them?"

"Yes."

"And?"

"And nothing's out of the ordinary. But you have to believe me on this, something's going on with one of them. He's at my school and i just- ugh." I let out a frustrated sigh. It was so hard to explain the tension between Noah and I.

"Ugh isn't helpful." She teased. I glared at her and she smiled. "Just give it some rest. Nothings happened so far, I think we can wait a day." She finished up her drink and went to put it in the sink.

"Fine. I'm going to go out for a run, clear my head." I told her, getting up off the chair. I didn't bother finishing my drink.

"Alright."

Putting in my shoes, I exited out the back door onto the dirt path that led into the woods. "I just need some fresh air" I told myself as I started to run. Faster than any human. Before I knew it I was deep into the woods.
