Problems with having non-fandom friends

1) they don't know the trigger words and/or names

exp. my friend was writing on the whiteboard in my locker today which is not a uncommon thing to happen she does this all the time but for some reason she was writing names on it.  I turned to tell my friend that I needed to close my locker so she knew to put away the dry erase markers but instead of telling her to put the markers back I get a hollow feeling inside when I read two of the names she wrote.  She wrote Bob and Fred. D: oh my poor heart that is full of sad feels from dead characters.  For the rest of the day I gave her the silent treatment for reminding me of the fact that I will never get to have new adventures with them and she had no idea why I was mad at her and kept on asking me what she did wrong but if I told her, she wouldn't understand why it's such a big deal.

2) they look at you like you belong in an asylum when you laugh at fandom jokes or make fandom references

exp. my friends giving me weird looks when I say 'gods' instead of 'god'

exp. my friend not understanding why I keep on saying "I understood that reference" when someone says "on your left" or "at the end of the line/till the end of the line" or when someone "says who the hell is_______"

exp. the looks I get when they ask me what aster, traught, whelmed, turbed, renial, moded, crash the mode, chalant, Nightwing'd, crash, the mode, and feeling the mode means and I reply with ask the Dicktionary

exp. them not understanding why I say Loki'd instead of gotcha when I successfully prank someone

exp. not understanding why I say "where is that dam snack bar" when someone says damn

exp. not understanding why I always say "hello" or "Bob says hello whenever I see the stars"
