The ship managed to soar safely out of the portal right as it exploded with the planet. Fung opened his eyes, seeing they were safe in space. He breathed a sigh and saw Jim cheering on his solar surfer. That made him jump up and down, even throwing off his helmet in celebration. He was so glad Jim got them all out alive!

"Didn't I say the lad had greatness in him?" Silver said, slapping Fung heartily on the shoulder. Fung grunted. "Uh, yeah. That's my friend, a hero!" He said, chuckling, folding his arms.

Jim landed the solar surfer, and went instantly to hug Fung, who hugged him tight back while the pirates cheered from below. Morph appeared and gave the duo non stop licks.

Fung chuckled. "Alright, Morph! That's enough!" He laughed. Amelia then came to them. "Unorthadox, but ludicrously effective. I'd be proud to introduce you to the Interstellar Academy, they could use a man like you. And for you, Fung, I would be happy to help you find a passage home to Earth," she said. The croc felt happiness in him, though he glanced around at his friends. Sure he would miss them but this was the adventure and bonding he wouldn't forget.

B.E.N grinned. "Jimmy, that was... UNFORGETTABLE! I know you don't like touching, but, get ready for a hug big guy, 'cause I gotta hug ya!" He laughed and hugged Jim. To Fung's surprise his human friend hugged the robot right back. B.E.N sniffled.

"Hey, you hugged me back! Oh, I promised myself I wouldn't cry... aaaahh!" The robot then began to sob into Jim's arms. Jim grinned awkwardly. "Does anyone have a tissue?" B.E.N sobbed. Fung nodded after noticing Silver's absence and pulled him away from Jim. "Uh, yeah. Delbert might have one," he said quickly. The robot nodded gratefully to the croc which gave perfect timing for the two friends to follow Silver.

They found him below deck by the boats, untying one. Fung frowned a bit. Was he really gonna try to ditch them?

"Quick, Morphy! We gotta make tracks!" Silver said softly and urgently. The two both caught him.

"Ya never quit, do ya guy?" Fung asked, folding his arms. Silver looked sheepish.

"Ah, fellas! Ha ha! Was jus' checking that our last longboat was safe and secure," he lied, attempting to retie the knot but rather poorly. Jim came closer, knotting it better. "That should hold it," he said with a grin. Silver chuckled.

"Taught you too well." But Fung gave Silver a look. "Alright, Guy. Now spill the secret." Silver sighed.

"Now, if yeh two don't mind, we'd just soon avoid prison. Lil' Morphy here's a free spirit. Bein' in a cage it'd break his heart..." he then petted the blob who had a sad look on his face. Jim and Fung knew now that Silver used Morph to describe his own spirit. The three remained silent for a time until Fung eventually smiled, shrugging. Jim pulled down the lever for the door. Silver sighed happily; grinning out at the sun streaked sky.

He watched the friends untying the boat, still smiling as an idea came.

"Why don' yeh two ship out with us?" He offered. Fung's mouth fell open. Them? With Silver? On endless adventures? "Ship out with us!" Morph mimicked, turning into a hat and landing on Jim's head. Silver put his arms around the duo.

"Hawkins, Fung, and Silver! Full of ourselves and no ties to anyone!" He rambled, looking on into the distance. Fung at first felt excited about it. But then Amelia's offer to get him home still floated in his brain; and he even saw his bandit gang's sad faces in front of him at not seeing him ever again. No. He couldn't just take off like that.

Jim thankfully answered before he did. "You know, when I got on this boat," he took Morph off his head and tickled him until he was back in his original form. "I would've taken you on that offer in a second."

Fung nodded, too. "Probably me, too." He mumbled. "But then, we met this old cyborg. He taught us that we can chart our own course... that's just what me and Jim are gonna do." He ended up finishing. Silver let out a small chuckle.

"And what do yeh say to that ol' pal of yers?" He questioned. Jim gazed out into space then looked back. "A future."

"An my gang... no, family waiting for me," Fung added, tail swishing. Silver then nodded in understanding, smiling proudly at them.

"Oh, look at yeh two. Glowin' like silver fires! Yeh two are somethin' special. Gonna rattle the stars yeh are!" Silver sniffled. Fung felt teary-eyed, himself, and the three of them wrapped up into a gentle hug, like hugging a real father, just hugging for a good few minutes.

Silver choked up. "Ugh, got a bit o' grease in this cyborg eye o' mine," he croaked, wiping his eyes. Morph began to cry too, morphing into a puddle of tears into Jim's hands. Fung chuckled.

"Hey, buddy, we'll see ya around, alright?" He said gently. Morph sniffled. "See ya around," he mimicked, licking them and going back to Silver's shoulder. Silver came then to an idea and looked at the shape shifter.

"Morphy? Got a little job for ye." Morph squeaked, gesturing to himself. "I need ye to keep an eye on these here pups." Fung gasped a little; Silver was willing for his life long friend to really go with him and Jim?

"W-will you do me that little favor?" Sniffled Silver. Morph saluted, nuzzling Silver then zooming to his new friends, licking them both and sitting on Jim's shoulder. Silver climbed into the longboat while the cables moved it above the hatch.

"Oh! And one more thing!" He scooped out some leftover jewels and gold pieces for Jim. "Is for yer dear mother to rebuild that inn o' hers!"

Fung laughed. "You couldn't resist sneaking some, could ya?" Silver just laughed. "Guess there's still a bit of pirate in me!" Jim nodded to Silver.

"Stay out of trouble, you old scallywag."

"Why, Jimbo lad! When have I ever done otherwise?" Silver teased, laughing more as the longboat dropped into the sky, the engines bursting to life then blasting off into space.

Fung put an arm around Jim's shoulder, watching where Silver left for a while, befofe turning to face him.

"Uh, Jim? Perhaps I can help rebuild your mum's inn before we go off looking for Earth," he offered. Jim smiled, nodding in acceptance while they walked back up for the rest of the leg back to Montressor Space Port.

The ship docked in the harbor around noon Montressor time, letting the authorities know about the pirates before hand so Amelia can turn them in. Jim and Fung followed Amelia and Delbert off the boat, Jim searching for his mom. Fung suddenly spotted her and pulled Jim over.

He tapped her shoulder, making Sarah gasp in shock at the two coming back, Jim giving her the hug he longed to give her after such a long time. Fung just stood back and let them have their moment together. Morph then got in between them, nuzzling Sarah's cheek. When Jim showed her the handful of jewels she nearly fainted, but then agreed to Fung helping them. Delbert even proposed to Amelia and she had accepted. He offered to Sarah, Jim and Fung to stay with him until the new Inn was built.

A year later The rebuilding of the BenBow inn was quite successful, as was the announcement for Delbert and Amelia's children to be born just in time before the grand opening. When the children came Fung had to smile at how three of their daughters had cat like features while the son was more like his dad.

Fung settled into his current new room at the rebuilded in, getting himself ready for the party

He came down to see Sarah, Jim in his Interstellar uniform that he got a month ago, B.E.N, and Amelia and Delbert with their children waiting to cut the ribbon.

They all went out to see the group of old and new customers of the inn invited to the party. Morph squeaked, turning into a pair of silver scissors and cut it. B.E.N took the picture. Everyone cheered and went inside.

It was nothing but merriment and dancing. Fung was having fun at the party, at the moment enjoying cake B.E.N gave him. He noticed some couples and sighed a little, wondering when he himself will find somebody to be that close with. But he spied Jim out by the window and joined him, Jim pointing out a cloud shaped like Silver, even with a star for his cyborg eye.

Fung bumped his friend's shoulder. "Who knows, guy. We may see him again on our journey to Earth. When is that gonna happen, by the way?"

"It will happen after a few months for my time at the Academy; Amelia says I needed at least a month or two, preferably a whole year before I go to Earth with you. But she is beginning preparations and will have Delbert watch the kids while she's with us."

Fung grinned. "It's gonna be a whole new adventure for us. Treasure Planet I say is only the beginning. And I would love to introduce ya to my crew whenever we get me back to Earth," he offered. Jim nodded. "I would like that." He said.

The two then went back inside to party the rest of the night away, looking forward to their next voyage.
