Magic Mirror
He had no idea how it had happened; the infamous croc bandit Fung one day with Gahri and his gang stole a priceless ancient mirror with rumored magical properties from some old museum, running off with it, hoping to make easy money.
Gahri studied the mirror, curiosity etched on his features. "So, what makes this so special, Fungy?" He asked with interest once they were out of harm's way, in the secluded bamboo forest after outwitting the pesky rhino guards. Thankfully the Dragon Warrior and the Furious Five weren't informed yet of their theft.
Fung shrugged. "How would I know, Gary? Maybe it is like that yin yang mirror, yah know? Split your personality?" He glanced into the mirror; but nothing happened. Not even when he rubbed the sides of it.
He growled. Why did I even try stealing it? "Gawwh! It's rubbish!" Fung shouted out of frustration, kicking the mirror, and making him yelp from stubbing his toe. His action was proved a mistake.
The mirror flashed; causing a strange mystical swirling light, almost like a portal, to appear on the mirror, making the crocs back away warily, not sure what to think of this.
Wall-eye looked nervous. "Uuuh, Fung, it's glowing," he said. Fung glowered back at him. "I can see th—." He was unprepared for a creepy magic hand grabbing him by his tail. He gave a shout of surprise and fright, feeling the strange force sucking him towards the mirror.
"Gary! Guys! H- help!" Fung screamed, heart thumping wildly as he tried to fight, clawing the ground frantically, but it was too strong. Gahri grabbed his friend's hand, calling the other crocs to help.
"Hang on!" Gahri cried out in fear, doing his best to hang on, while the others held on tight to Gahri, but however hard they pulled, the magic was already having Fung halfway in, his eyes round with utter fear at the unknown before him.
The croc stared back desperately into his comrade's eyes. "Gahri, go to the Jade Palace, I won't be able to... to make it... get Po, please...!" Gahri shook his head.
"No, Fungy! We're getting you out!"
Fung could already feel his fingers slipping. They let go. Gahri shouted after him.
"Fung!" Gahri cried, the mirror flashing bright, the portal disappearing, and showing his saddened reflection once more. Fung was gone.
He sunk to his knees, not sure what to do. Gahri sniffled, hiding his face in his hands. Wall-eye put a hand on his shoulder.
"Sure he is gonna be okay..." he said halfheartedly. Gahri just nodded absently, hoping he was right.
He stood. "C'mon, let's get to the Jade Palace, they're our only hope!" Gahri stated, as they all set off together, Wall-eye took the mirror with them for proof.
....
It was nothing but swirling flashy lights for Fung, his stomach growing nauseous from the ride, eyelids beginning to drift shut. He was so dizzy and tired.
"Uggh... Gawsh... darn it..." he mumbled disorientedly, slipping at last into welcoming unconsciousness, unaware of what awaited him when he woke up again.
