LENNON STACY KNEW TWO THINGS. One, that getting too close to people too quickly always ended in pain. And two, she was supposed to be dead. These two things were both things she had heavily thought about in the time after the Avengers fought. She thought about her forever strained relationship with Natasha Romanoff and the idea of death as a whole.

Because before the Avengers, Lennon had the Red Room. She grew up in the program and was moments away from death when Natasha decided to rescue her. The reason? Lennon didn't know. Natasha always vaguely said she had liked Lennon when she was still in the program and didn't want a kids death on her conscience.

Fair enough.

Though, even with the Red Room and Natasha training her in her time after, Lennon wasn't a fighter. She wasn't like Nat where taking people down with her fists was her strength. No, she wasn't a fighter... but she knew how to protect herself.

She wasn't a fighter in the sense that while heros went out to defend the city with their fists, Lennon found much more pleasure and gratification from helping from the sidelines. From working behind a bunch of high-tech computers that gave her access to anything she needed.

She was an all around guy-in-the-chair if the guy was actually a girl. She knew it was meant for her. That hacking into security cameras and giving the Avengers heads up on what was coming their way was a job meant for her.

But Lennon didn't know when the next time she'd be able to help was. The Avengers were done, and she didn't know if they'd ever come back.

So, Tony decided Lennon needed to be a full time kid. You know, high school full time and all that. Rather than the half and half she had done before at Midtown High School, Lennon would be there full days five days a week.

She wasn't too pleased to say the least. But with everything that had just happened, Lennon figured Tony needed a break. That he needed one thing not to be a fight, so if she had to suck it up and be at school more often she'd do that.

She just didn't know that a certain Spiderling who was itching for a new mission would be so quick to be by her side whenever he needed intel, and honestly, she hadn't even known they'd gone to the same school until now.
