One Week After Wally's Death

The proceedings take at little over an hour. The dedication is attended by several prominent world leaders.

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The Emperor of Japan. And Queen Perdida of Vlativa. To name a few.

Every news outlet in the world is in attendance. From CNN to FOX News. From CBS to MSNBC. Even GBS's own Cat Grant is there, reporting live alongside G. Gordon Godfrey -- who tries his best to hide a small congratulatory smirk.

As Kid Flash's casket is placed in the center of the square, Lex Luthor, the current Secretary-General of the United Nations, approaches the podium. He starts to speak:

"We are gathered here today to honor those that both risked and lost their lives in the battle against the Reach. They risked their lives, not only in the defense of their homeland and nation, but in the defense of our collective home: Planet Earth.

"That is why today, in cooperation with all world governments and prominent defense companies, we shall honor their memory with the creation of the United Earth Defense Front.

(Pause for Applause)

"This new international, extra-planetary defense initiative will help ensure, not only the prevention of the loss of life, but, also, that future heroes will not have to face that threat alone.

"But, no matter how much further we may venture into the unknown, these brave men and women will have us beat. For while they may have left us in the end, they in turn have just started their final journey into the true unknown. And, at the other end of that path they will be waiting there to great us at the gate to the great unknown. And only then shall they know peace."

After finishing his speech,  Lex Luthor steps down from the podium and watches as a U.N. issued honor guard guides the coffin to the hearse. Another squad gives a five-tiered salute, as a bugler plays taps.

Once loaded, the motorcade pulls away, guided by NYPD's finest. It is followed by Queen Perdida's motorcade as it exits the city.
