Chapter 19
*One month later*
Tito's POV~
"Would anyone like to say a few words?" The priest said. I raised my hand and took a step forward. "Take as long as you need.
"Sarah... Was my life. My best friend. I loved her and I never got to tell her before she passed. Well I'm saying it now... Sarah, I love you and always will..." I began tearing up and breathing heavily. Looking down at her casket and her pale body made me sad beyond belief. Dean came over and put an arm around my shoulders. I looked up at him and he was holding back tears as well. Then the twins came up. Then Merry and Pippin, then Loki, Obi, Anakin, and Hannah was the last. "She was just... So..." My voice trailed into tears.
"Loyal." The twins said in unison. I looked over to them and smiled a little.
"Ambitious." Loki said.
"Caring." Hannah spoke.
"Strong." Dean squeaked.
"Thoughtful." Merry said.
"Smart." Pippin whispered.
"Stubborn." Obi-Wan said with a smile.
"Rebellious." Anakin said.
"... And extremely humorous." Someone said. We all turned to see Sam Winchester, Dean and Hannah's brother, walking up the tiny hill to the grave we were standing at. His face was also red from crying as he joined us in our hug link chain. We all hugged closely to each other. Then Hannah spoke up.
"After Sarah's mom died she came to live with me and my brothers. Sarah was always one for adventure and enjoyed going out with us. I felt like it was my responsibility to look out for her. I don't remember much of that night, but what I do know is that Sarah was brave until the end. She always had a heart of gold. She would do anything for the people she cared about. I feel like I failed her, and I'm so, so sorry" Hannah had tears streaming down her face as she spoke and Dean unlinked to give Hannah a full hug. Then Sam spoke up.
"Sarah was incredibly clever and was always proving me wrong..." He smiled, "she was always confident in her answers, even when she was wrong. I loved that about her... She even saved me from Azazel with her brains..." There was a moment of silence, "I'm going to miss you so freaking bad..." He started crying. The twins walked over to Sam.
"Well... I'm not one for speeches... But Sarah was like my second sister... I tried to protect her when I could and she did the same to me. She kicked some serious demon ass too..." The priest gave him a look. Dean just looked at him, did a tiny smile and continued talking, "I think I speak for all of us when I say we are going to miss her..." He looked down to avoid eye contact. My heart pained and started pounding faster. Then it was time.
"Alright... If there are no more people willing to speak, it is time to lower the casket." The priest said. Two men came over and gently lowered her coffin into the hole. I tossed a white rose on top of the coffin and Hannah dropped a red-orange Calla Lily in, Sarah's favorite flower. We all took a handful of dirt and tossed it in as a sign of friendship. Then the men began shoveling dirt in the hole to fill it up. Tears began rolling down my face and I started to bawl. I wasn't the only one however. Sam and Dean were trying their best to hold back their tears, but it wasn't working. Hannah was full out bawling and the twins were crying. Everyone was crying. The men patted the dirt with their shovels.
Everyone began leaving one by one starting with Loki. Obi-Wan left with Anakin, then Merry and Pippin. Sam, Dean and Hannah left unwillingly. I just sat there on the ground, staring at her gravestone. 'Sarah Vasquez ~ A loving Hunter and friend ~ Sept. 17, 2000 - Sept. 18, 2015 ~.' I slowly stood up and walked to my car and wiped a tear from my cheek. Revenge was in store for certain robots...
