Hush little girl

don't say a word

the world isn't that bad,

as you were told it'd be.

For years you'll think

about the reactions

your heart receives,

but ignore them.

Ignore those words

ignore those actions

that bring you down,

and hurt your pride.

Shed those tears

but don't let them soak

your heart and soul,

for you deserve better.

Don't forget to stay kind

for the world will need you

to show them the light,

they need so desperately.
