A/N: hello!! Here is chapter 17... Mallow bakes stuff, Lillie is savage.

ahhh so sorry for the abandonment... I have been struggling through end of year exams and packing for residentials - alas I have no time to write!! Starting from the week after next week I hope to have more regular updates hopefully twice a week - but let's be honest we all know that won't happen!😂 Enjoy!!

Also I don't know what I was thinking when writing this chapter so... All I have to say is that I'm very sorry.

Ash's pov:

I walked into the Pokémon center call room to find lillie video calling someone..... I didn't recognise them from anywhere..... I wonder who she was....... I couldn't quite hear what the person she was calling was saying but I could just hear lillie's voice.

"Hello..... Yes........ Of course........ I'm fine.......... Yes...... Don't worry...... I have....... Well of course you know mallow...... Yes...... I know she is....... Well, yes.... I have....... He's called ash-from-pallet-town-in-the-kanto-region........yes, but we just call him ash..... I'm not sure...... Maybe you could come here...... Yes...... 3 o'clock is fine...... Alright........ I will...... Goodbye...." As the screen switched off Lillie let out a long sigh as she collapsed on the floor. So I proceeded to walk into the room.

"Oh heEy Lillie totally did not see you there....."

"Right."

"Errr...." I stammered, I intended to interrogate– err... I mean ask about her 'mysterious' disappearances lately. However I didn't know how to ask her so I just stammered awkwardly.

"Well. Nice talk ash, but I am late for meeting with Serena." Lillie replied with a slight agrovated tone to her voice. What made her so grumpy.... Was it that person she was talking to...? Or was it me...?

Hmmm......

So I went outside to see if I could find any of my other friends.... I saw Lillie and serena they were just about to head out for some last minute shopping before we left to the Lana Lagoons for my water trial. It was just then.... I saw it. The ultimate Pokémon.... So I thew an empty pokeball from my hand..... But OH NO. I MISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Instead of hitting the ultimate rare Pokémon I hit................... LILLIE!?!?!?!?!?;?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!+!!!?!?!?!!!!;?!?!?!?!?!!!?!?!!

DIRECTLY ON THE HEAD.

I rushed over to see if she was alright...

Serena spoke..." Lillie are you ok?"

"I....I th-think I have concussion......."

"Lillie I'm so sorry.... I was an 'accident'."

".. 'Ash' quick take 'her' inside the 'pokemon centre'!!!!"

"Ok. On it."

Time did pass.

So I went to check on lillie, so i asked Serena where she was she said that Lillie was just leaving her room. So I went up to her room and met her in the corridor.

"Hey lillie, how are you feeling!?"

"Much better thank you ash."

"Oh thats ... Good."

I thought for a moment.... Lillie was so cross earlier.... Like really cross. So why was she acting so different now??? Is she in denial? Maybe she's in love? Aha it must be her birthday!!! That's why she was on the phone to that person....... That person was her surprise party planner!!!!!!

Wait.... Why was Lillie planning her own party.....? Maybe she thinks we don't care. Ok I must hatch a plan to throw lillie the BEST surprise party ever?!

I rushed to find mallow and the others to tell them my recent discovery! Then I paused and realised.... Wait...... Would mallow, lillie's best friend, know when her birthday was - why didn't she say anything????!?!?!???!?!?!?!

"MALOOOO!!!!"

"What is it ash!!?????!!?!?!"

"It's..... It's..... Lillie's......... BIRTHDAY!!"

"WHAT??!? No way?!?!?!? I had no idea...... Hmmm that means it is cake making time!!"

"Yay!!! I'll get the others to help decorate!!"

***Several hours of intense decoration later***

Mallow started, "Quick everyone hide and then when Lillie walks in, we'll jump out and suprise her!!!"

***Several hours of intense waiting for Lillie***

"H-hello?? Is anybody here?" Lillie slowly opened the door... "I'm back."

"SUPRISE!!!!" Everyone shouted in unison.

"Errr....."

"What is it?" I said. "It is your birthday isn't it Lillie................ Isn't it.....????"

"Umm. It's very kind of you all to prepare all this for me but....."

"..... It's not your birthday." Lana finished.

Stupid ash!!

"Wait. Lana. You knew this whole time?"

"Yes. I did. It was amusing watching you..."

"Besides." Lillie began, "Why did you think it was my birthday in the first pla–"

"Helooo!"

Just then the person who was on the phone to Lillie walked in..... So if she's not Lillie suprise party planner......... Who is she......?
