Ash's pov:

TODAY IS THE DAY I DEFEAT RICKY!

Ever since that punk gladion showed up, I've been thinking about the betrayers a lot..... Maybe they were right? NO. The very long list of my achievements now covered in mallow drool is proof that I am good enough. Even though I hate the betrayers...... I think maybe if I win the island challenge then I'll go and see them again I know they're horrible but they were my friends and maybe that will prove to them that I am a good Pokémon trainer and I am good enough. Ye.

"H-h-hey ash." Lillie started. "Are you ready to defeat the fire trial?"

"YES!"

"Then lettuce go."

****Later****

"Yay I beat the fire trial!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"BUT ASHHH!!!" Mallow wined, "your pikachu looks kinda dead."

"Nah he's fine. Oh wait yeah he does........" I replied.

Lillies pov:

"I think he has a fever, no worries ash, I can take care of pikachu I have a medical degree in Pokémon." Said Lillie proudly. Wait I'm Lillie.

"Aww thanks Lillie that would be great!" I gently handed her pikachu and she began to walk to our rental cabin. "Wait, Lillie I'll come with you, you guys can go ahead and celebrate my victory."

"But we weren't going to celebrate your victory....." Said Lana.

"AND CELEBRATE MY VICTORY." Ash emphasised.

****Later..... In the cabin****

Utilizing my Medical degree I deduced  that pikachu had a graze on his knee. He also seemed to have a hight temperature, so I mushed up some berries I found on the ground. I don't know what they'll do...... But I just thought it would be fun to smash some berries with my fist.

Ash's pov:

Wow. Lillie really looked like she knew what she was doing. She had just smeared some magical berry paste on pikachu's knee and she was now bandaging it. I looked up at her, her forehead had wrinkles in, she looked like she was concentrating a lot on looking after pikachu. Then she looked up at me..... And smiled. For some reason my heart began to beat a little bit faster and a light red blush spread across my cheeks. I don't know why that happened, I NEVER blush.

"Ash..... Can I ask you something??"

"No."

"Ash....."

"Yes Lillie......."

"Ash..... Why do you want to become a Pokémon master?"

"Ummm.... I don't really know..... I guess I've never thought about it before...."

Hmmm.

"Oh I see. No don't worry about it it's a tricky question...."

".......Lillie..... What is your dream then????"

"Hm?" She looked up, almost surprised. She stood there thinking about it for a while............

"I don't think I have a dream ash....... I-I don't know......"

She was silent for a while......

".......... Well.......I know it probably sounds stupid...... But..... I would like my family back again."

"Your family back again?? What do you mean...... Are they lost???"

"No......... You see my father left us when I was young, and I don't get on with my mother very well anymore. In fact I don't really see my brother much....... When we were younger it was nice. Mother, gladion and I used to go on holiday, it was lovely, we had so much fun together. But now everything is different....... But I want to change that........."

"Wow Lillie....... I'm so sorry......."

"Don't be ash......... I'm fine.... Really!"

"But that's such an amazing dream Lillie. I know it will come true!!!!"

She looked at me, her eyes were full of hope. I looked back into her's, then I slowly moved towards Lillie and wrapped my arms around her and pulled her into a hug; we stood like that for awhile, it felt nice.................

Mallow: "HELLO WE ARE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" *drools*
