Kyra's P.O.V

"How are you still alive?" The dark-brown she-wolf barked.

"I could ask the same as you. It's been far too long... Sister..." Kyra wept as she clasped her eyes shut full of tears.

"Kyra, this she-wolf is your sister?" Kaiden asked.

I nodded my head. "15 years since I saw you, Nikita."

"What's going on, Nikita?" Said a male voice.

"Come on out guys." Nikita ordered.

We watched as five other wolves came out. One was a black and white wolf with gold eyes, I knew who he was and so did Nikita.

"Areo." I gasped as he came to view.

He turned his head toward me and he was shocked to see me. "Kyra, is that you?" He approached cautiously.

"Yes, it's me." I wept as I ran up to him and nuzzled him and licking him.

"Look how much you've grown." Aero told.

"Same to you." Compared to me, Aero is a pretty big wolf for being a hybrid, he was about the size of Kaiden.

"Big brother?" A female voice squeaked.

I turned my head to see Locin's ears pricked and I saw a gray wolf run towards him.

"Ayame!" He said as the two collided and Locin was on the ground getting licked to death by the young she-wolf.

She seemed younger than I was, but she was a pretty wolf for her age. She was smaller than Locin by some amount.

I looked back to Aero and my ears went flat, tears dripped from my eyes. I finally saw my older sister and brother for the first time in 15 years, but I desperately wanted to see my mother and meet my father for the first time.

"Are mother and father around?" I asked Aero.

"They are back at the pack. But you should introduce us to your friends." He grinned.

I nodded and trotted up to Kaiden and the others with Aero close behind me.

"Aero, this is my mate, Kaiden." I introduced him.

"It's pleasure to meet you. But may I ask, do you have a brother and a sister? And is your mother named Ivy?"

Kaiden's ears pricked up. "Yes. Are they here?" He asked in a surprise.

"They are. But relax, we will escort you to the den site. Ivy is in charge of the pack, along with my mother and father, and the Silver Stone leaders." He told.

"So, there's five alphas from three different packs in charge?" I asked in utter confusion.

"Oh little sister, you have much to learn about pack life." Nikita scoffed.

I lowered my ears and I couldn't help but just feel left out. When I left my family, I was alone my whole life, stopping to see Leora from time to time but not my family.

I backed away from Aero, Nikita and Kaiden. "I can't go in there. Just showing up after 15 years of unknown disappearance, I can't go in there. I'm not the wolf mother thought I was."

"Kyra, come on, our families are waiting for us. Your mother will be happy to see you." Kaiden tried to encourage me.

I growled. "No! You don't get it! No one does!" I said as I ran off.

I heard Kaiden howl for me but I couldn't turn back, not this time. I had so much hiding from him and my family as well. How I could face them? Or Kaiden?

I had to keep running, didn't matter where I went, I just knew I couldn't be with anyone right now.

"I'm sorry, Kaiden, when I tell you that the pups are Locin's, you'll kill them and maybe me, disown me as a mate and send me on my own. Might as well start..." I couldn't even finish.

I stopped running and laid on the ground, my paws were over my eyes, I began to cry. I had so much guilt on my shoulders, I couldn't tell anyone, no one.

"I have no one..." I sobbed.

Kaiden's P.O.V

"Why did she just run away like that?" I snarled.

Nikita and Aero were both saddened about the fact that their sister ran away again. Nikita began to cry, Aero licked her cheek to sooth her aching heartbreak.

"I'll get her to come back. I promise." I told them.

They nodded in thanks.

"Kaiden." Renae came up to me.

"What do you want?" I growled.

She lowered her ears. "I know how Kyra feels. I've been in the same situation as her. I'll go look for her, I know we had a rough start, but her and I are alike in many ways you couldn't understand, I myself don't understand them fully but I'll bring her back." She explained.

"I'll keep that to you when you show up with my mate. If she doesn't come back, I'll make sure you remember this." I growled.

"I understand." She bowed her head.

She ran into the direction Kyra disappeared in.

She had a point, her and Kyra were in a way alike, both were hybrids, both have had hard lives, so it was like they were the same wolf but then again not so much.

Kyra's P.O.V

It seemed like a year went by, I must've dozed off, the sun was starting to set. The sun hitting my fur making me look like a flame in a fire.

"It's no wonder he loves you." Said a she-wolf voice.

I was startled to see Renae sitting beside me, watching the sun setting.

"Your fur is as bright as fire when the sun hits it right." Renae smiled.

"What are you doing here?" I laid my head back down on the grassy ground.

"To take you back to your mate and family." She told.

"I can't go back..." I sobbed.

Renae lowered her ears. "Is it because you aren't ready to be a mother? Are you scared?" She asked.

"That's one reason out of many." I told her.

"You can tell me. I may have said never trust an assassin, but you can tell me, I won't tell anyone anything." She told as she laid down beside me, putting her paw on my forearm.

I sighed heavily, my voice still shaky from crying. "I think I'm pregnant with Locin's pups, not Kaiden's. If I told him, he would have to kill them, it's wolfen law to do it. But how do I know he won't kill me too?" I cried once more, putting my paws over my eyes again.

"Oh Kyra... He loves you, he wouldn't kill you. Yes it is against wolfen law to kill a mate's pups that aren't his. But he needs to know before it's too late." She told me.

I clenched my teeth so hard I thought I'd break my jaw, I just wanted to disappear, I was too overwhelmed, that's why I didn't want to go into the den site.

"You got yourself so deep in this Kyra, I know it's not what you want to hear, but you did. Was there something that happened between you and Kaiden that you felt he didn't want you?" She asked.

I nodded. "Yes, at first he didn't want me as a mate. He wasn't ready. Afterwards, I just felt so lonely, I thought maybe me and Locin had a chance but it was only a one time thing, but he got me... Pregnant.."

"I'm sorry. But he is your mate now, but if you really love him and want to be with him for the rest of your life, you have to tell him the truth. Or else you'll regret it, I promise you that." She told me.

"I'm so scared though!" I cried.

"I know you are, yes he is going to be mad, but it's because he loves you. He'll be mad for a while, but he will come back to you." She told.

I swallowed hard. I felt as if I was going to throw up, but no matter what, it wouldn't change how I was feeling.

"Come on, we have to go back before it gets dark." Renae said as she stood up and stretched.

I tried to stand but I could barely stand. I was still in a lot pain from my injury earlier in the day. But then on top of it, I didn't eat either.

"Do you need help?" Renae asked as she leaned me against her.

I felt my eyes droop shut and the last thing I remember was hitting the ground and closing my eyes.

Kaiden's P.O.V

I heard Renae's howl and I didn't even ask anyone to follow, I just ran towards the howl.

"Please don't let anything happen to you! Please!" I begged.

My eyes narrowed, I was eager to get to Kyra, the wind howling in my ears as I ran as fast as my paws could take me.

At the corner of my eye, I saw something white running along side me on the mountain side, all the times I didn't know what it was, but I finally turned my head to see a pure white wolf.

"What? No way." I told myself.

The wolf looked down at me as we still ran in unison. It's pale blue eyes looked as if it was blind, but they could see me, so they couldn't be blind.

"Do you know where my mate is?" I howled to them.

As soon as I asked, the wolf looked up and I saw a trail of stars glow, like a path, the sun was setting, but the stars were coming out so it helped a lot.

"Thank you." I told them.

They nodded and ran ahead and vanished into another forest.

Who were they? I know I wasn't seeing things, that was a Moon wolf, there's no question.

I shook all the questions away and followed the trail of glowing stars to Kyra.

Once I was there I saw Renae nudging Kyra. What happened to her?

"Renae, what's wrong with her?" I growled at her as I skidded to a halt and became human.

"I don't know. She just passed out. It could be her injury or the baby." She told me.

My eyes widened. "You knew?!" I growled at her with my fangs peeking through my lips.

"Doesn't matter, we need to get her help. We have to take her to her home." She growled. "We have no more options!"

She was right. We had no more options. And neither did Kyra. I laid my hand on Kyra's head and she was human within seconds. Her face was pale, was she sick?

I picked her up and held her to my chest, my eyes just barely open, I felt like crying, because she's been through so much. With me, her family, everything...

"Kaiden?" Renae whimpered as she peered up at me.

I looked down at the small wolf. Renae was defiantly a small wolf, she had to be size of a full grown German Shepherd.

"Go back to the others, I'll be right behind you." I told her gently.

She nodded and went ahead of me.

"I hope these pups aren't the cause of these symptoms. If so, I'm sorry I got you into something like this. I can't take it back." I told her. My teeth clenched shut in worry and anger.

There was no time to wallow in my emotions, she needed help.

I ran into the forest with her in my arms. I leapt from tree to tree, it seemed like a year went by when I finally made it back to the pack.

Kyra's siblings were happy but also in immense worry when they saw her unconscious.

We took her into the den site and they took her to a medical wolf den, but I couldn't follow them, as much as I wanted to push everyone aside and be with her, I couldn't. Leora was the only one who was allowed to be with her since she was a medical wolf herself.

"I'll tell you everything, Kaiden. I promise." Leora said as she nuzzled me.

"Thank you..." I whimpered.

"It's okay, Kaiden. She'll be okay." She told me.

"I hope so." I told her as she vanished into the den.

Kyra's P.O.V

I opened my eyes, my vision blurred, I looked around slightly, where was I? Who had found me? The last thing I remembered was I was with Renae. So who's den was this?

My eyes shifted to a dark figure at my side. I saw white on them too, for a moment I thought it was Kaiden.

"Kaiden...?" I said shallowly.

The voice was a female voice.

"No, sweetheart, I'm his mother." She said as she turned toward me.

"Ivy?" I croaked.

"I'm surprised you know my name, darling. But, yes, I'm Alpha Ivy. It's very nice to finally meet you. Kaiden told me you are his mate." She smiled.

I blushed. "Where is he? Where's Kaiden?" I urged to get up.

"Kyra, no don't get up." I heard Leora's voice from behind me, trying to keep me down.

"Please, let me see him, please." I begged.

"After you rest, sweetie. You are eating for more than one you know, that's why you passed out, because you didn't eat. But also, I did take a look at your bruising on your left side, that has a little effect to it too, you may seem like you are okay, but I can tell you are in pain." Ivy told me.

She turned toward me; her markings looked like the Yin and Yang sign. She a was Phantom wolf.

"May I ask something, Ivy?" I asked her.

"Yes, dear?"

"Are you a Phantom wolf?" I asked.

She nodded. "Yes, I am. You took notice right away."

I kept thinking I was seeing Kaiden and not his mother, they look so much alike, except she didn't have blue.

"I heard there are very few Phantom packs, miss Ivy." I told her.

"That is true, my dear. Before I met Kaiden's father, our pack was fairly small. We only had fifteen wolves, including the alphas and the medicine wolves. We were always hunted." She explained, lowering her ears.

"I'm so sorry." I petted her; I was still in my human state.

"No need to be. It's not your fault." She told with a gentle smile.

I wondered about my parents, my siblings and Kaiden. I need to see my mother again, and I have not yet seen my father or my other brother.

"Leora, Ivy?" I asked them both.

They both looked to me.

"If I eat something, may I go see my mother and father. I need to see them, please? It's important." I begged.

They both looked to one another and nodded.

Leora left the den for a short moment and not long after she brought back a fair sized hare.

"Thank you." I told her, going back to my wolf form and began eating.

"Also, eat these." Leora set down some wild berries.

"What are they for?" I asked, sniffing them.

"For the pups. Meat is good for them, but some berries and other fruits are good for them too. Pretty much like vitamins too." Leora explained.

I nodded and ate some berries along with the meat.

It wasn't long afterwards that I left the den and I was searching for Kaiden first. I didn't see him anywhere, where was he?

Kaiden's P.O.V

After I brought Kyra back to her home, I went back out into the forest to search for the white wolf that aided me earlier.

It was night time, but seeing white in the dark was much easier than during the day.

I sniffed the air, catching the familiar scent, it was closer than I thought.

I sprinted and followed the scent, how did I know this scent?

Once the trail ended, I finally knew the answer.

By a small stream, a young girl with silver-white hair, very pale skin and her eyes so pale blue that you'd think she was blind.

Was this who I thought it was? The human girl I worked with back in Lunaria?

She turned her gaze towards me and gave me a subtle smile.

"It's been a long time since I've seen you, Kaiden." She spoke softly.

"Yue... How was it that I was able to track you? Are you the white wolf that aided me earlier today?" I questioned.

She stood up and in mid walk towards me, she transformed herself into that very wolf that helped me.

"It was you." I barked.

"Are you surprised? To see me as a wolf." She told softly.

I nodded. "In Lunaria, you smelled like a human. Why is that?" I asked.

She lowered her ears slightly. "It's because I'm supposed to be human."

"But, why?" I pushed further.

Her ears seemed to snap up immediately. "Because, I'm a wanted species. My mother and father are humans themselves. My mother is a white wolf, like me."

My eyes widened and I swallowed hard.

"So why did you follow me and my pack?" I asked.

She sighed. "Kaiden, you have to know. I know you have feelings for me. And I have feelings for you. But, you have a mate. I can't come in between you two."

I lowered my ears. She was right, I had feelings for her. I didn't know she was a wolf until now, I still had feelings for her even when she was a human. But, I couldn't turn back now; Kyra was pregnant and I do love her, but...

"What will you do?" I heard her speak again.

"There's nothing I can do. My mate is pregnant and I can't just simply leave her for you. I can't do that to her." I slightly growled to myself.

"I understand." She said as she began to walk away.

"Wait!" I howled.

She stopped and looked back.

"I'd like for you to join my pack. I can't leave you on your own." I walked up to her and nuzzled her lightly.

"Why not? I can handle myself." She spoke.

"You need a pack's protection. And I'm not letting you leave until you agree you'll come with me. Your species are in danger, and I don't need another one of your kind dead." I spoke.

She gratefully smiled. "Alright, I'll join you. Thank you for allowing me into your pack."

"You're welcome. I can't just let you go out on your own without you being safe."

Yue licked his cheek in thanks for allowing her to join his pack.

Kaiden nuzzled her and gestured her to follow him back to the den site.

Kyra's P.O.V

I was outside the den site. I could smell Kaiden's scent, it lead out of the territory. What was out there that lured him out?

My heart felt like it was in my throat and I was so worried about him.

"Kaiden, where have you gone?" I whispered to myself; feeling tears in my eyes.

I sprinted into the forest that bordered the den site. I was desperate to find him.

I followed his scent but something new was in the air, a new scent, a wolf scent.

I stopped and turned human. He would see me coming. It's best I stayed higher up, I looked up into the trees and leaped into the tree nearest to me.

I grabbed the branch but lost my gripped.

"Ahh!" I gave out a yelp and clawed the the side of tree and to get a grip. My nails got a grip in the bark, but my right hand hurt really bad.

"Ugh! Great, what I do to myself this time?" I asked myself, pushing myself to climb to the main branch I was going for.

I got up into the tree and I panted for breath.

"Finally." I breathed.

I inspected my hand. It was scraped up pretty good and a little swollen.

"Must've sprained it." I told myself.

A sharp pang of pain rang in my stomach. I grabbed my stomach and whimpered. What was going on?

It was a few minutes later and the pain subsided.

I got up and started leaping from tree to tree. I could smell Kaiden getting closer. And so was the new scent.

In the midst of darkness, I caught the sight of something white. I stopped and looked down and my eyes were widened in surprise and also in sorrow.

Kaiden's scent was right below me and this white, thing, was a wolf. A white wolf! The first one I've ever seen. But, I saw this wolf nuzzling Kaiden.

"No..." I told myself. Taking my eyes off of them and gripping my hair, growling and trembling to myself.

"I don't want to believe it. Please." I growled in a low tone.

I couldn't take it anymore. I leapt to a nearby tree and jumped down quietly. I shifted back into my wolf form.

I stalked through the darkness of night, snarling and licking my teeth.

Kaiden's P.O.V

I heard something growling not far away. I stood in front of Yue.

"Stay behind me." I told her.

She nodded and watched me.

The growling got louder. I soon saw blue eyes in the darkness, but they seemed familiar.

The growling stopped.

"Who's there?" I called out.

No answer. But all the sudden, I heard a loud snarl, with the sudden rush of pain in my shoulder.

They let go and went for Yue and pinned her to the growled.

I sniffed the air and smelled Kyra. Wait, Kyra was the one who attacked us?

"Who are and what are you doing in our territory?" She snarled.

Yue was trembling in fear, pinned to the forest floor by my mate.

"Answer me!" Kyra snarled, leaning my jaws closer to her.

Yue let out a loud whimper, clasping her eyes tightly shut.

I shoved Kyra off of Yue, but it wasn't too hard of a shove; didn't want to hurt her with her being pregnant.

"Stop, Kyra! I know this wolf." I looked to Yue.

Kyra snarled. Her ears were flattened against her head. Her eyes shimmering angrily in the darkness of night.

Oh god, how was I going to explain this one to her?
