HAYLEY O'BRIEN DOESN'T remember the last time she felt so nervous. So nervous that every time she inhales, she feels like it'll be the last breath she'll be able to take. Anxiety clings tightly onto her veins, gripping onto her like a fence constructed out of barbed wire. It refuses to disappear, and as the time on the clock on the wall gains closer and closer to when Finneas said he would arrive, it only gets worse.

The anti-anxiety medication she had taken before she had left her house hadn't done much in all honesty. Sure, it had taken the edge off a little bit, but Hayley still continues to feel like when she sees the ginger-haired male, she'll die. She hates panic attacks, and she loathes anxiety.

It also probably didn't help that she had already drunk multiple coffees that morning. No, that definitely hasn't made things any easier.

Clothed in dark green hoodie, jeans and a pair of sunglasses that are perched atop her recently washed brunette hair, the teenager appears like any other customer seated inside the lesser-known back alley cafe. It's one of Hayley's favourite local joints to go for pastries and breakfast smoothies, and one of the benefits is that it's almost always empty except for her. Which is greatly appreciated on a day like today, when a Grammy award winning producer and artist is about to meet her for a coffee.

She doesn't love to call herself a 'celebrity,' because compared to some of her friends, she really isn't. Although, that opinion is contradicted on almost a daily basis with multiple articles, columns and gossip based on her. Finneas, on the other hand, is currently one of the most famous people on the planet; at least, she thinks he is. Which also makes her ten-times more frightened to meet him. Would she embarrass herself in front of her idol's brother? Maybe it would be something she'd say, or perhaps she'd somehow offend him or Billie without meaning to. Or maybe-

"Hayley?"

The voice that interrupts her paranoid thoughts is smooth. Without looking at him, she knows exactly who it is. Hayley's head turns to the side and she is met with the sight of Finneas O'Connell. His ginger hair looks extra copper with the sun streaming in through the floor to ceiling windows to give it natural highlights, and based on his wide smile, he looks like he genuinely wants to be here. She quickly stands up in her chair and reciprocates the grin, stretching her hand out for him to shake it. "Hey! Yes! Hayley, that's me. I got you a coffee, I hope you're okay with almond milk? I know you guys are all vegans, so..."

He takes a brief glance at her hand and ignores it, moving to embrace her in a friendly hug instead. "No, that's perfect, thank you. It's so good to finally meet you!" The man takes the seat opposite her, and his smile somehow widens as he takes notice of the glass mug set in front. "Thanks for reaching out to me," he adds.

Hayley thinks there's two plausible reasons why she's no longer anxious. Either, her heart has actually stopped beating and she can't feel it thundering away any more, or she really does feel calm within his presence. Something about Finneas makes her feel so at home. He feels welcoming and refreshing, like a human ray of sunshine. She takes a sip of her coffee and shakes her head at his last words. "No, thank you. I know it's a bit weird... So thanks for entertaining me."

Finneas chuckles. "Dude, it's seriously no worries. Literally the only reason why I agreed is because I love you just as much as Billie." His lips snap closes as soon as his sentence is finished, and he squints his eyes for a moment. "No, sorry, that's impossible," he corrects himself. "There's no one on this planet that loves you as much as her."

"I think my brother would be incredibly offended by that." Hayley giggles, setting her mug down onto its small plate. "To be honest, I can't really believe this is happening. Like, I've been obsessed with both of you for years. It's pretty surreal."

He smiles at her again and it feels like it's from someone she's known her whole life. "If Billie even knew we were talking, she would freak the fuck out."

"You're half decent at keeping secrets, right?" Hayley asks hurriedly, suddenly remembering that this whole plan could be spoiled by a single mention of someone's name or a certain word. In other words, if her name was dropped by Finneas to Billie, the youngest O'Connell would certainly know something was up. "'Cause I know I am, but this is kinda relying on you considering you're with her all the time..."

"Don't worry, you're in good hands, if I don't say so myself." He takes out his phone and opens his calendar, positioning the device in a way so the girl opposite him can clearly see it. "Also, I know Billie gave you the track-list, so that helps heaps with planning stuff."

Hayley nods and a shy smile overtakes her features. "Yeah, it all looks amazing." Her eyes widen suddenly as she remembers what had happened right before she left her home. "Oh, my God, congrats on 'Your Power'! It's so fucking good, I couldn't stop bawling my eyes out."

She receives another smile from the ginger. "Yeah, it's a really important one to Billie, it means a lot to her." Hayley can tell that the subject is something that is of great importance to Finneas as well, his words becoming softer as he speaks. "But I'm so glad you love it."

Finishing the last of her caffeinated beverage, Hayley clasps her hands together with a grin on her face that hasn't left since the moment she met the man. "Okay, so, the twenty-ninth is the day it releases here, right?"

"Yeah, it comes out at nine here, so it's midnight on the east coast," Finneas replies with a nod. "So, are we thinking to hire someplace out?"

She takes a moment to think, her plan coming up to rest under her chin. "Well, we can't really do it at any of your guys' places... My place definitely isn't big enough. I guess renting a place for the day or so makes the most sense, right?"

"Perfect. How about I look for a few, send you them, and then you pick your favourite?"

"Yeah, that sounds good," the brunette replies cheerily. "What do you think about a guest-list? Would she want something super over the top? Obviously friends and family, but how many people?"

"I think no more than a hundred," Finneas answers quickly. "Everyone she wants to be there will be invited, I'll somehow subtly ask her who..." He rolls his eyes and places his head in his hands. "Fuck, this is going to be impossible to hide."

"Don't worry, no pressure at all. I'll just have to buy my own grave with your name on it to use if this somehow gets out."

The charming smile Hayley wears is enough for the man to nervously gulp. "Yeah, okay. Got it. Piece of cake. This'll be a piece of fucking cake."
