HER FACE IS ILLUMINATED BY the red and orange lights flickering on stage, and Hayley inhales numerous deep breaths to try and keep herself grounded. It'll be okay. She was out there not even twenty minutes ago. She's going to be fine. She watches from the wings as Billie jumps around with infectious energy, something that spreads across the crowd like wildfire. Even though she can barely see out across the expansive ground, Hayley knows that majority of the people watching are smiling. The bass rings in her ears loudly, and she can feel it reverberating right in her bones.

"Thought you had your shit together, but damn, I was wrong! You ain't nothing but a lost cause, and this ain't nothing like it once was. I know you think you're such an outlaw..." Hayley has to smile as she watches the silhouette of her girlfriend slide down the stage as her melodic voice floats out from the speakers. She's so entranced that she almost misses her cue. Almost. "... But you got no job."

As Hayley skips out onto stage, she hears the sudden uproars of screaming and cheers through her earpiece. She stops in the centre of the stage and sighs. "I used to think you were shy, but maybe you just had nothing on your mind." Her eyes lock with Billie and her tongue darts out to wet her lips. "Maybe you were thinkin' 'bout yourself all the time. I, used to wish you were mine." She begins to slowly walk down the runway, and as she passes Billie, she lets her hand brush over the girl's hip. "But that was way before I realised, someone like you would always be so easy to find."

Billie spins around to meet her eyes once more. "So easy."

"Easy..." Hayley bites onto her lip as she stops before Billie and slowly drops to her knees. She swears she sees her girlfriend's pupils dilate, but it's hard to tell from the lighting. "Gave me your flowers, I wish I didn't care." Billie takes a handful of her hair and tugs on it to pull her up. Their faces remain inches away from each other as their eye contact remains. "You'd been gone for hours, could be anywhere."

As their microphones press against each other, their voices melt together perfectly, the harmony coming out exactly like honey. And then as the bass hits again, grins split across their faces and they jump up and down. "Thought you would've grown eventually, but you proved me wrong! You ain't nothing but a lost cause, and this ain't nothing like it once was. I know you think you're such an outlaw." Hayley's smile falls as she runs a hand through her hair and trails it down the side of her body. "But you got no job! You ain't nothing but a lost cause, and this ain't nothing like it once was. I know you think you're such an outlaw, but you got no job..."

Billie's teeth sink into her bottom lip as she watches Hayley saunter toward her, and they barely hear the audience's screaming reach a new volume. "What did I tell you? Don't get complacent, it's time to face it now." The two girls end up face to face once more, their chests rising and falling heavily as they stare into each other's souls. "What did I tell you? Don't get complacent, it's time to face it now."

As the music cuts out and the lights disappear, Hayley finds herself too impatient. She grabs the back of Billie's neck and draws her in quickly as their lips press against each other fervently. It's only so long until the lights return, so as she pulls away she leans to her ear to whisper, "I'm very turned on right now." Hayley grins as she walks away, and at Billie's delay to speak, she knows she's managed to stun her.

Billie shakes her head in disbelief and grins as the spotlight suddenly is placed onto her. "Give it up for Hayley O'Brien one more time!"
