Realizing that you're already a good distance away from his mansion, you sigh in relief. You then hold onto your chest as you start to gasp for air that you have wasted in running.
Your adrenaline rush finally fades; exhaustion triumphs over your body as you then drop to the pavement with a very sweaty, pale face.
Your hands are on the warm ground. Inhaling then later exhaling before inhaling once again. You find yourself thinking of your actions, wondering if that was really alright to do so.
He wouldn't be that furious at me for doing that, right? you think as you're catching your breath, I mean—it's not like that you'll ever see him again.
That man would just probably forget you after a day, so you should not really trouble yourself with such useless thoughts.
And so, with that thought in mind, you proceed to close your eyes and focus yourself instead on stabilizing your breathing. However, you instantly open your eyes when you sense someone's presence beside you.
Your body stiffens.
Somehow you already have a feeling who it is. As you turn your head to the side, you are able to perceive his flawless face.
And sure enough, you are right.
It is him.
"Luck." You glare at him.
"Oh, I see that you still remember me! That's great!" he cheekily smiles as his dark blue eyes are still twinkling bright just like earlier.
You huff, rolling your eyes.
Of course, you remember him. He is too handsome, too strange, and too magical! Not only that, you are certain that he is the ultimate reason why you are experiencing these weird things right now.
Intensely staring at him with your eyes, you're trying to read through his intentions. Luck, who quickly discerns your stare, tilts his head.
"What is it?"
"You're not human, are you?" you blurt out.
Me, not human? Isn't it obvious?
Luck laughs, finding your question quite absurb. Well it isn't like that he is trying to pretend to be a mortal. With how he flaunted his magical abilities earlier, you should have realized that by now unless you're truly stupid just like everyone claimed.
"Of course not. I am Luck—the embodiment of LUCK itself."
He suddenly shuffles your hair, making you jolt and take a step back.
Okay, fuck.
This creature is really touchy to the point that you do not feel quite uncomfortable. You retreat yourself away until you are certain that the space between you is maximized enough.
So he's not a human..
He's just Luck? An embodiment? And not an alien?
You squint your eyes at him, carefully inspecting for any unusual features; but no— his appearance appears really human. You don't understand anything anymore. "I don't get this. If you're an embodiment of Luck, then why are you talking to me? What makes me special?"
You express your suspicion regarding his intentions for you, looking so lost. "And what are you exactly talking about awhile ago?"
Hearing your questions, Luck crosses his arms. His face loses the amused expression in an instant before seriously staring at you.
"Wait! Before I answer those questions, you should tell me first what you were doing earlier!" When you grant him a strange look, he's forced to explain, "You wished for fuck luck, didn't you? So why would you try to run away from it then?! Are you telling me that you regret your f*ck luck?!"
You force yourself to laugh from his inquiry.. "That one too! That's what I was planning to ask you too! What in the world is f*ck luck? And when did I exactly wish for that?!"
It is such a weird terminology, and there's no way you'll wish for whatever that is. You would probably wish for money first as that's currently what's most important to you now.
With money, you would be able to buy yourself some food and get yourself some place to live.
Luck stares at you, wide-eyed.
You said it yourself, and he heard it.
There is no way he misinterpreted your words. He was just obeying your wishes, but it appears like that there was a mistake.
Luck shuffles his silver hair as he hesitates to speak his side, "Um, (Y/N). You said the word f*ck, so I just did what you told me," Luck whispers, "I naturally granted you some several young men that you can use for your f*cking purposes."
You gape at him.
Um, what?! Excuse me?!
You are far too surprised by Luck's misunderstanding to even bother think what he last said.
"Boi! Tha—that is just an expression! I did not mean it literally that way!" you yell at him, flabbergasted by how clueless the man actually is.
It seems that he is all looks but no brains?! In fact, you think that he's more stupid than you.
How he can hold such powers when he is this stupid, it surprises you. You scowl when Luck lets out a nervous laugh; he didn't really mean to make a mistake and put you into this mess.
"Sorry, I guess..."
You frown; it doesn't even sound an apology. Well, can't he just simply undo it? Surely, he's powerful enough to do that, right? "Can you not just take back that wish'?" you question, and Luck squeezes out a smile filled with uneasiness.
Oh, no..
Don't tell me...
Luck shakes his head.
"Unfortunately, no. What's done is done," he regretfully informs, making your heart almost fall. "This is exactly the reason why the phrase—'Be careful what you wish for'—exists. Once you said it, then there is no taking it back. You have to be responsible for it."
"Me?! Why me?! You're the one who made a mistake?!" you remark, slightly getting annoyed by how he seemed to blame you for his stupid mistakes.
"Since you said it yourself, how about you take responsibility of it!" You glare at him.
"Well, since taking it back is not an option anymore, how about you try learning to use it to your advantage?" he helpfully advises.
"There was also a man before you, you know," he said. His eyes held a distant look as if recalling the events that had happened before.
"Just like you, he also regretted the wish he made. He asked me to take it back, but as you already know, my power is quite limited. I can't do anything about it. In the end, he can only be forced to live with it."
His lips then suddenly curl into a smile, breaking the serious atmosphere that seemed to exist earlier. "But it wasn't really that bad for him though. Not exactly, considering that he even learned to utilize his wish for his own benefit."
You furrow your eyebrows, gradually calming down as you get yourself interested by his story. "What did that man wish for?" you ask, curious.
Luck opens his mouth but stops before he can even give the answer. "I'm sorry, but I cannot tell you that. It is for the protection of his privacy, especially when he is still healthy and alive. But if you're really curious to know, then I'll tell you that he is quite pretty famous right now. You might know him."
Luck grins, giving you a hint.
You blink your eyes, wondering who exactly that could be. Your head starts to slightly hurt from all the guesses you made in your mind. However, there is no way that you would be able to know who that is as Luck did not really provide you enough clues to help you.
"But anyways, I still do think F*ck Luck's nice," the silver-haired guy randomly remarks, causing you to raise your brow at him and send him a glare.
By the term itself, it already sounds very weird and kind of crude. What is more terrifying is when you heard the actual meaning. It somehow made you appear like a slut for 'wishing' it.
"Nice?! Seriously? Are you crazy?!" You're not a wh*re nor a f*cking sex addict! You have no intention to listen to his advice and use that to your advantage.
Luck cannot help but laugh at your flustered face as he then casually nods his head at you.
"I do think that I am possibly ƈʀǟʐʏ; but with you being a-no-boyfriend-since-birth and a virgin, I think f*ck luck can be a good use for you..."
You harshly glare at him while your face gets even more warm by his words. You yell at him, stuttering, "Virgin? And how can you be sure that I'm a virgin! A—and I did have a boyfriend before, you idiot!"
"So you're not a virgin?" he asks.
Your face gets hotter. Quickly, you turn your gaze away from his bright- blue eyes. "I am, but is there a problem being virgin?! None, right? So f*cking shut up!" Curses start to leak out of your lips.
Luck mainly laughs, amused by your flustered reactions; he continues to tease you,"—and the boyfriend? Did you really have a boyfriend?"
You purse your lips, nodding.
Luck does not believe you, but decides not to argue with you anymore. Your ego, slightly damaged; you find your thoughts flying back to the distant past. You assume that you did have a boyfriend in the distant past—kind of a childhood sweetheart; but there's a very high chance that it was all a play, a roleplay.
Well, whatever, you brush off the thought.
"Okay, back to what I was saying." Luck grins at you, "I think fuck luck is great opportunity for you because with this, you'll able to meet a lot of guys who can be your—what mortals call it—the one!"
The one?
Seeing your perplexed expression, he softly sighs before explaining, "Well, fuck luck's not just about fucking. It's almost what it is, but I did add a twist. Aside from lust, I also made sure to include love."
He earnestly stares right through your eyes. It somehow causes a shiver to roll down your spine. "They will ļ̷̩̼͎̪̕͝o̷̘͓̭͉͌̂͒̐͒̾͠v̷̧͊ͅe̸̛͇̳͎̖͉ͅ you, (Y/N)." He smiles, "they will always make sure to please you... serve you in any way they can. They are yours after all."
You gape at him, at his words.
He suddenly walks towards you, nearing his lips to your ear. You blink your eyes, feeling his icy breath— before later cringing at his words. "The most important thing is that they're all good in bed, (Y/N)." He whispers with a sly smirk, "You'll love it."
You let out a yelp before pushing this pervert away from you. "What the f*ck?!" you curse, glaring at him—who only laughs. It really feels good teasing this mortal. Your reactions are pure gold for him; maybe this can be a new hobby of his.
"F*ck luck sounds so hella creepy," you unconsciously murmur out loud, rubbing your arms at the thought of men trying to claim you as theirs.
You have always been reserved around boys your age, and now—just because of an encounter with him, your life is forever changed.
Hearing it, Luck chuckles. Ah, this mortal—Oh, you are really far too innocent for this f*ck luck. "There is really nothing to worry about. They won't suddenly make their moves on you."
Luck puts his hand on his chin, suddenly having second thoughts. "Or maybe, they will... Mortal males are quite wolves."
You narrow your eyes but still give a nod in agreement. "Yes, they are," you deadpan but decide to change your mind when you remember some people. "Well, some of them. Some can be nice."
Luck smirks. "Are you pertaining Star?"
You roll your eyes at his guess. Star seemed nice earlier, but you do not know him enough to assume his whether he's good or bad. "I don't know anything about him, but I'm certain that Sky, Cast, Twig—"
"Okay, okay! I get it!!" Luck stops you before you even try to recite a hundred names, softly chuckling while he does so. "Geez, stop."
You can't help but puff out your cheeks. And he thought that you do not know any guys. Well, he is wrong about you! You may not talk to guys that often, but that doesn't mean that you haven't communicated with the opposite sex at all.
"Hmm..."
Luck suddenly snaps you out of your thoughts and make you look at him. "—I was thinking that if this f*ck luck turns out successful, and you're able to settle with a nice guy in the future, then I might possibly start a fuck edition of my lucks."
"It is going to be limited, however, considering that it is quite exhausting to pull it off."
You're slightly confused. "How do you even choose the people who is going to participate in your lucks?"
Luck turns to you and winks. "It's pretty simple actually. By luck! If they're lucky, I bless them with my luck! Of course, that's not the only way. If they interest me, then I'll also bless them!
"And how about me?" you question, curiousity showing within your eyes.
"What did I do for you to notice me?"
You blink your eyes when he laughs. Placing a hand on his neck, he lightly explains, "You were supposed to be granted with bad luck by my black cat, but you amused Misfortune so much that she directed me to you."
What the—?
"I'm glad she didn't give me bad lucks?" you softly say, hesitating, as you're not really certain yourself if you should be grateful.
Luck laughs.
"Yeah, since you're pretty much in luck today."
Those words echoing throughout your mind. The silver-haired man did say that you are lucky to meet him.. But considering what you have been cursed with or 'blessed' with—can you really say that you're lucky.
That black cat must have lied.
She definitely cursed me, you say in your thoughts while you proceed to walk. Luck follows behind your form. A big grin, stretching out from his handsome features. His hands are in his pockets. He is completely unaware that you are currently cursing his cat.
