Dinah's POV
Before Normani walks inside, I tell her to close her eyes.

"Why?" She questions while quirking up her eyebrow.

"Come on just trust me."

She huffs but does as told and I guide her into the dimly lit house.

"Open them." I whisper into her ear.

"Oh my gosh." She gasps at the sight in front of her.

I arranged roses and candles around every hallway and staircase in the house to make this night special. Thank god that my mom is on a business trip so that I can I have enough time to put everything back to the way it was before.

"This is so beautiful." Normani states mesmerized and her eyes glistens.

"Come on you haven't seen the rest of it." I excitedly state while pulling her to follow me. I walk her outside and she stares in awe at the sight behold her.

"I can't believe you did all of this for me." Normani turns to face me and plants a tender, lingering kiss on my cheek.

"Anything for you." I kiss her lips. "Now let's eat."

I set her at the table and we begin eating the meal that I prepared for us.

"This is so good." Mani devours her steak.

"Thanks babe."

After we're all full, I decide that now is the time for the surprise.

"Normani.." I start before kneeling down on one knee and pulling out the small black box causing Normani to gasp in shock.

"There are no words to describe how much I love and adore you. You're an amazing, beautiful, brave, intelligent, and caring woman and even though I've known you for a short period of time, you've made me want to do something that no one else has made me want to do. You've made me want to become a better person for my self and you and for that I am eternally grateful. So will you, Normani Kordei Hamilton make me the most happiest girl in the universe by being my girlfriend?"

I open up the box and present two rings.

"Yess!!" She squeals and I put one ring on her finger and one on mine.

"We share one heart so if we are apart we're broken but when we're together, we are whole."

I finish and Normani pulls me close and embraces me.

"You're not what I expected you to be." She whispers in my ear.

"I surprised myself too."

I place my lips on hers and we begin to kiss slow and passionately before I embrace her again, feeling her warmth.
